They will, he says, keep creating content for Lineage II for the foreseeable future, but only in the form of new dungeons, new quests and new items. The game will remain the same. And, when so many Koreans want to commit to a single game and not try anything very new or different for several years at a time, why should they change the formula?Looks like Gracia Final IS the final land-based update... so I guess the future is going to be higher level caps, more goodies for high level toons and more instanced dungeons for the level 100's to play.
Lots of info on their obsession with Starcraft, and some about L2.

NCWest needs something like this:

"Later that afternoon I pay a visit to the customer service desk of online gaming giant NCSoft. The company, profoundly committed to providing a comprehensive service to their hundreds of thousands of customers, are proud to be able to offer face-to-face consultation in their customer care. The helpdesk for Lineage and Lineage II is a discrete office in the teeming hi-tech district of southern Seoul. The manager comes out to greet me, along with my interpreter and the NCSoft publicity manager. The staff here represent the last word in care for aggrieved players, and the small team deals with four to five hundred face-to-face consultations a week. It is here that problems with players’ accounts, and more often the complexities of the company’s attempts to outlaw online trading, are dealt with when the in-game petitions and extensive phone-support fail provide a solution. you're not allowed to sell biological material (food etc.) on ebay so they have to be empty.

i'll trade a gold yoda pepsi can for a case of those l2 cans though.

also, l2 was originally intended to be 13 chronicles long. the last chronicle was supposed to feature the dark elves resurrecting shilen as the seal. everything leading up to lineage 1.
Level 100 -- that made me giggle!

no, bluehole isn't nc.

doesn't look anything like lineage 3 *should* look unless it's a post-apocalyptic aden the likes of spira from final fantasy 10. none of the architecture or character designs match.

lineage 2 is set a thousand years before lineage 1, if i remember my mythology from prelude. who knows, though...lineage 3 might be a thousand years beyond lineage 1 with the whole final fantasy 10 themed plot of high society taken back by nature.
All users will seamlessly move throughout the world, sharing a singular combat experience. Moreover, the foundation for the innovative combat system originates from the robust client/server technology. This breakthrough technology is one of the many revolutionary features developed by Bluehole to enhance the end-user experience.

also known as highly exploitable. anything client-side is bad and i'm amazed their doing it and calling it 'revolutionary' and 'break-through.'

give it a few weeks and you'll have a client-side program that fights for you and crits every time or some ridiculousness like that.
