It's a simple fix if they wanted to stop it, just add the item ID's of the event items to the script file on the server that blocks them from being used. Should take all of 3 mins to fix, and 2 mins to restart the server.
If they havn't stopped it by now then i doubt they will fix it at all.
Trademark is something to protect a company name or symbol. What you are thinking of would be a copyright.

Well that fact that you don't see it as a 'Big Deal' gives me the impression you don't have much experience on the impact and implications of what this does in the Olympiad, that's all.
If the implications means that someone other than the richests of the richest can win the Oly for once, then I'm up for it. I'm sure Nova (on Sayha) would love the challenge. They've been asking for other people to step up and challenge them and I believe this Christmas may be the time someone does just that!

Perhaps on your Server, Olympiad is actively being competed for a good majority of the month.

Ya, I figured this out last night. If I am able to get some +16 s-duals from the stockings I got, I am going to have fun with playing with oly tonight :D
I just hope this was something they factored into the event and not an accident. They just brought the servers down and I hope this feature will still be working when they come back up ><

how is everyone equally able to use them if it depends on santa if you get them or nope, if few ppl from one clan gets those stuff and other clan doesnt, oh well, grats santa you just decided who will be hero and who not...its ******ed, and its obviously bug since you cant use any other scrolls/potions in oly and those are extremely powerful...way to fail again, will you ever learn to do anything properly ncsoft, will you ever learn to fix bugs fast or atleast do soem hotfix till real fix comes from korea, or you will let your game to be more and more screwed up by your incompetence?

Any clan that has members of a high enough level to compete in the Olyms, can certainly get -someone- in their clan/all to give them 1 Santa Gift Set. They aren't rare. They aren't even uncommon. Then they use the set before they compete.

You have a point there. I feel that a shakeup of the Olympics might just provide an interesting twist! At least on my particular server.
I got +15 duals and I played with them :P It was fun, I still only won 2 out of like the 10 matches I did though (haha)
Although, in my defence, I got Giccobe TWICE. If you're on Bartz, nuff said. That was pretty unlucky :P
I don't think it's that much of an exploit seeing as how anyone can buy the stockings and use the weapons/buffs. I think it's more of a fun way to get extra people to participate in oly during the holidays.

pretty sure you olympiad farmers like to say stuff like "zomg lolympiad isn't meant to balanced" and "lawldude lolympiad is a clan based thingie" so if you think certain classes are benefiting more than others how bout you stack those classes in your clan with a nice stock pile of stockings and let them trade you some points while you hope you don't get unlucky and have to fight a SE ><

I never said that. What I wanted to say is class with santa buffs > class w/o them even if normally it almost never happens. Its preatty obvious btw and worked only at the very beginning of first day with buffs, when not everyone had them/knew they are working at oly.
Uhhh, the scrolls are bad for two reasons. First of all, it is a chance to get item, that can't be used often... similar to talismans? I don't know about how guys, but I think things like invul talismans are probably one the dumbest things put in oly. Second of all, it changes the current balance of open. You think the "oly farmers" are hurting from this? HA! Destroyers have more run speed, more HP so they can frenzy. Honestly, these buff scrolls make oly MORE unbalanced.
lol saying every class can win is a bit on the naive side but if it makes summoners weaker then good, stack one of your other classes
if destros are unstoppable w/e they basically are already anyway
you get what 5 scrolls from the event? each scroll is pretty **** good even though i'm sure some classes would prefer certain scrolls over others so you get 5 runs at the oly before you have to take a break which IMO isn't too different than tanks not wanting to go in without UD up
