Question about Warlocks and crystal consumption

This is a question about warlocks (and summoners in general) about their crystal consumption. When summoning, for example, Kai the Cat, it consumes a C-crystal and then additional C-Cry at 14 intervals.

What I would specifically like to know is how long does the summon last for? I heard that it depends on how many mobs u kill, and if you are continuously hunting, it can go away in 20 mins, the result being more than 15 C Cry being used.

Do I have this information right?
Thanks in advance.
Pets have an initial cost, for instance the 1 up to 4 c crys. The second sentence in their skill (the additional ccrys over time in intervals) is for when u have it summoned.

A pet lasts (roughly) 4 hours standing around doing nothing. If in continuous combat (exp etc) it goes away 4 times as fast, so if ur exping it will last about 1 hour. How long it lasts can be viewed on the green bar on the summon. It's not really affected by how many mobs u kill, but the time u are in continous combat. The additions crystal cost is used at regular intervals, and since ur never really in continuous combat u can most often skip the last crystal cost and just resummon early (assuming you are basing time on buff rounds and want to fully buff it.)

Pets that only last 20 mins are the ones for non-summoners that have pets, like for instance WS, DA, Necro.
Necro pets last longer than 1 buff round (20 min)

perfect. thanks for your help!
Necro pets last longer than 1 buff round (20 min)

Necro XP servitors las 1 buffround in continuous combat. Corrupted man lasts close to an hour (maybe 40 min or longer) in combat, but it's a PvP servitor that has a set cost and no consumption over time (like Summoner 90% servitors).

When I'm in an XP party using cursed man, I have to kill it and resummon every buffround before rebuffs or it will disappear when after everyone else is rebuffed.
Trensharo, my summons last a little bit more than a buffround. I always unsummon and resummon it every buffround cause they wouldn't last the whole further 20 minutes of the new buffround, but they should last around 25-30 minutes. At least at a lower level.

And that in continuous combat, I'm not sure if at higher levels, they last less.

I use my summon in FoG/IT/Pagans groups. I have been doing those groups for the better part of a year. They last ~20 minutes in combat. If they last 1-3 minutes longer, so what. I would never get invites to DD groups if I refused to kill and resummon my pet every 20 minutes. It will poof soon after the buffs disappear anyways.

Usually you are out of combat when you buff us, and sometimes when you run from one spot to another and wait for mobs to spawn. All of that can make the summon last a bit longer.

My groups always remind me to resummon my pet before they rebuff, and get really angry when I forget to do so.

I've probably played like a summoner more than some summoners :P I know how long the pets last.
panthers, golems, and cursed man and reani man lasts 20min in battle mode

real summons last alot longer, like an hour

This is the perfect time for you to do a test. Grab your necro, go to a npc somewhere. Kill a mob and summon.

Have the pet attack random npc (it is the save santa event after all, and alot of morons are hitting gk nowadays). Then time ur pet. It will be in continous combat since you are attack the npc the whole duration.

Then come back and tell me it lasts more than a buff round.
yup in combat mode 20 mins ur right, if xping and sometimes running a bit longer indeed.
In a party sometimes it will last longer becasue you will pop out of combat for a while, and it can add seconds and even minutes to the timer. My warlock pops out of combat soloing large catacombs rooms, so I dunno how a Necro would kill slower with a buff cursed man, which is clearly superior to a Kai that level.
It can be quite annoying at times to find a cata room that "fits" your lvl. You end up either overkilling, or not killing fast enough and having multiple mobs on your pet.

IMO its always better to slightly overkill the room, too many mobs make you heal way too much (im a lazy summoner and hate healing lol).

When I do cata rooms I usualy have at least 15% left on the green bar after 3 buffrounds. I still unsummon and resummon the pet, no point in having it disappear mid combat.
