Let's talk Paladin!

Because they rock.

However, the skill set is a little poor until 76.

My Paladin has three set-ups at the moment and I was wondering if anyone else has tried, and succeeded, with any others.

I go Warlord style when leveling and DD when grouping. On the rare occasion I'm the highest level tank, therefore I'm rarely doing what I do best.

Warlord-style AoE with +3 TG (wideblow) and boxed bishop for heals.
DD style with +3 DLE (health), +DEX/-CON tattoos from vendor or in Vanguard stance with common DS and in both styles, an SE for critical and damage buffs
Tanking as usual, DLE, no tattoos and lotsa pots - SE and Bishop along for the ride.

It's kinda costly always removing the tattoos but I make about 10x that adena when I'm grinding. However, I'm now back from my break and I'm gonna get stuck in and try to hit 7x... which should I stick with?

Warlord... just pole my way to 70 with Bishop in tail?
DD... kill, kill kill with +str and +dex tats?
Tanking... find groups and enjoy the ride?

I love all 3 styles, but I'm trying to get some decent tattoos and get rid of the vendor ones.

How did/do you level up to end game on your Paladin?
Go DD, common DS +4 str -4 con, no dex tats those are worthless there's hardly a difference with them on. Go to areas outside of catas like Garden of Beasts, or Blazing swamps, i was at Blazing till 69, stayed in GoB till 72, after that i went to HS leveled straight to S grade. Mainly all u need is +4 Str, and +4 to 5 wit for healing and ur set for pvp and pve.
oooh you got 4 bars now grats. but yea as elisabetsays no need ever touching dex its basically 1% to crit attack speed which doesnt help much considering 100 crit rate is 10% actual chance to crit guessing you got 110ish with focus 3 so basically an extra .11% chance to crit per increase isnt worth killing your con. would stick with +4/-4 str/con that way you can still tank well if youre needed at raids and such and its good setup till youre wanting to be a uber tank at higher level for pvp.

if you go poling well maybe go for crit stun wont be that much better than wide blow but that and towering are pretty pointless considering you can only hit 8 mobs maximum and they can be lined up if you learn to use terrain. if you go that use the same dyes as you would for normal grind ie str/-con.
Thanks for the hints so far. I noticed a slight improvement in attack speed with the dex tat, but it was mainly for the VR and crits - I have +crit augments on both the TG and DLE - health comes faster from vr and crits happen faster.

I was taking the garden of beasts down, buffed, in about 4-6 hits with the ++crit I have.
If you are looking to exp quickly I would probably go with grouping in TOI or similar area's. I have personally found that grouping makes the exp flow faster or at least seem faster (probably cause I get bored as hell solo). I didn't see what level you actually are but you referenced the garden of beasts, doing Vanguard mode there is great solo exp and the drops are nice for a solo area (in my opinion). Tats and gear on a pally I really can't comment on since I haven't played a tank since my original toon got to 52 a couple years ago ~couldn't stand it anymore had to drop that poor SK.
they are overpowered once u have 2 AI at 81.=, just ask that famous pala from Teon
lvl 58 Pally and loving it!
I'm close to 70.... I can't wait. He'll be my first level 70 toon... in nearly 4 years!
Thats nice to hear purp , i have my first toon which is over lvl 50 and its 56 SB right now
I plan on having a party in our castle. Bring your own bottle but mithril arrows are on the house.
Grats Purp, I recently made 71, my first over toon to break 60 (tha's right sixty) since Open Beta. ;) wasn't my first toon ever but the most enjoyable toon I have tried so far :D
