youve got a long way to "own" at pvp. and the only way to "own" at pvp is by experience, which will take lots of time.
The reason it takes time? trial and error. learn all your skills and find out for yourself.
don't bother with power strike, save your sp cause 1-20 is so fast powerstrike will be completely useless. just follw the newbie guide till 18, do your first class change and hit 20 and change into a warrior then worry about your attack skills, buf for now just get weapon mastery, armor mastery, relax, and yea...
considering you get 1-18 within the hour now, and then 21 from doing your quest, there's no point in getting powerstrike because you dont learn it past 20.....
not that the SP means anything in the long run.... when you need millions for a skill ;p
only get weapon and armor masteries pre 20
grab powershot since its a guaranteed hit with a bow and can be used to lure mobs
me personally i'd skip relax because of the way herbs and buffs work but at the end of the day by the time you are 80 it won't matter how many skills you got
Ofcorse after 40 you will not always have enough sp for all your skills right when you lvl up but theoretically you can buy what you need at the moment you lvl up and a bit later the rest.

You will not own in PvP with duelist. You may argue, protest, but it won't hlp you.
Right now in L2 not a single class is owning others. Only constant 9x parties.
- Mages.
- Archers.
- daggers.
While some classes can kill other lonely enemy, true 9 man parties onw server. Still to own a lonely enemy you must be Mage/dagger/archer.
It's predecided and tested on teon for long time, no point in arguing.
Yep, no extra sp there. But lvl 1-40 skills are so cheap that it remains a question if the sp is worth having a load of them in your trainer interface :)
Besides, when you start to "run out of sp", it's not going to measure in couple thousands.
I'd say that a good choice is to get all the passives and the main offensive skills (the ones you are really going to use) first, everything else is secondary. Oh, and if you are really planning to 'own' in pvp, you are likely to get a lot of spare sp from losing exp in pvp.
Why do people think you get more sp if you lose xp? :/ You wont be able to afford skills any sooner, you'll just level later, you'll gain SP at the same rate.
You will have more sp when you reach the level for new skills, however you will spend more time getting there (and thus more sp). So in the end it's a matter of point of view. I prefer not dieing.
Because if you have found a good hunting zone, e.g. a certain set of rooms in cat/nec and don't want to be hunting green/blue mosb then you can stay in the same xp/sp gain area and continue as if you haven't leveled.
