the point of this thread is ... why a really smal group of ppls plaing nukers , and for less ... sh, i got 52 bd [ but i just started without a big support ] and i saw 3 sh in all game , and 2 of them are botters :D so ironic ;p so my qiestion is why ppl dont play it ;p
Im a Tyrant/SH sub so that counts too right? Plus i use to play a tyrant called Kantara but i dont play her nemore, since all of her gear is going to my Tyrant
i think SH are the most powerful out of the nukers, not only do they get hurricane and other nukes i feel they hit the hardest when in comes to pvp. Ive seen many drop after three hits from an SH compared to a sps or even a necro...since a necro only has 1 nuke. People question why did i sub an SH...they will be mistake to as k me that again at high lvls.

If they gave us more nukes, I can already see people screaming even louder to nerf Necros.
And I'm still not sure whether to sub SH or TH. I'll decide once I get to sub level!

Yep! -beams proudly- And that's why I love playing it so much!
But I've been thinking of my subclass (ZOMG! I've been finally thinking of subclassing after 3 years), and I've been considering either SH (which would basically allow me to use every single equipment I have used on my main) or TH (which I also have equipment for, though :D ).
I'll decide once the sub level comes closer :D But already the fact that NCSoft doesn't allow any nukers to sub other nukers but allows Necros to sub nukers (and vice-versa) means that we're placed in a category of our own :P (Or it's just NCSoft's logic, ya know...)
No, cause we do more than just summon and the PS isn't truly a summoner. Have you seen how weak their Death Spike is? At low levels, Twister is better. So can't consider the PS a nuker. They're summoners that got ONE nuke (weak nuke too).
We're nukers that got summons. And curses. And umm... what are we? Tiffy, you're getting me into an identity crisis now!
Pff! I am not just a mere summoner! -stomps feet- We're in a category of our own. We're summoners, but not quite (we don't have any post-40 summoner support buffs except for the Transfer Pain), we're strong nukers, we're debuffers...
I guess even NCSoft has a hard time defining Necros. :D But I love my class anyway <3
Well, you know... The topic was asking where the SH were... but it wasn't that specific, so I think there's not much of a topic anymore.
And Necros are fun. But they're not the subject of this topic. I've made a SH (she's only 42 now) more to test how I'd like it as a sub, so I guess I count as having a SH too. I completely forgot about that!
But I'm biased. I got a little tired of my Glad past A grade, to be honest. I hate archers, so wouldn't go Phantom Ranger. Bishop can be fun, but meh? And summoners... well, they're too passive and dependant on the summons :D
Funny enough, my first char EVER was supposed to be a Spellhowler. But back in C4, I hated nuking. So I made her a Phantom Summoner, after almost a year and a half of leaving her at lvl 35.
I've re-rolled a lot as well. It took me a while to find a character I actually liked PVEING with.. Good thing it happen to be a character decent for PVPING as well... (my SH)
Raven... the reason ppl says that about SH is not because they are weak, coz they arent... it's because they cast speed often gives the chance to get interrupted. But SH are strong indeed. It's also against who you pvp... coz if a SB goes after you, you better start clicking that bsoe you have in your inventory ^^

Every class in this game has a strength & a weakness.
All Nukers are strong, but each one, either has lowest WIT, lowest MP, lowest INT etc..
Which makes them, weak against one nuker class & strong against another! :)
my very 1st chara is right now a dark wizard and going to become a SH in the near future (level 32 gogogo 8 more levels)
i am finding that leveling a Wizard is kind of hard, unless i am doing something wrong...
my boy is going treasure hunter and is the exact same level as me... when we are doing catacombs he can tank 3 or 4 of the mobs with no problem, and i cant handle more then 1 since i don't really do all that damage that i read about....
after allot of reading i read that the DE mages mainly solo since they kill too fast.... also my guy seems to be doing allot more damg then me and allot faster.
of course i have barely started and dont really have the best gear, and maybe im simply doing something wrong xD
ill level her to 40 and see if the SH is all what it is pimped up to be lol

Catacomb and necropolis mobs are very very magic resistant. not a good place for a nuker to level. that is a melee haven
Well, it's not even that they're very magic resistant. It's simply because a nuker with no summons cannot solo catacombs, period.
You do a lot of damage, Mystiq. You're just leveling in the wrong place. You should never think you can solo catacombs, because the mobs there have four times the normal HP. You should stick to field mobs, where you will one-shot everything and you'll see that the exp is a lot better.
At your level, you should be leveling in the Cruma Marsh or even the lizards outside of Hunters Village, just to name a few.
If it's taking you more then 3-4 hits to kill, then your in the wrong leveling place!
Most places should only take 1-2 hits by both an SH & a Dark Wizard!
When you reach your 40's & become a SH, outside of Ivory Tower killing the (bugbears) is an AWESOME place & you can level there from 40 right to 52, your BGrade! :)
i dont see many mages around unless they are healers/buffers, so none really to ask what to do :P
yes ive been leveling in the Marsh last night and found with the speed of my killing i gain Xp alittle slower then in the catacombs with my boyfriend (i maily leech him there lol) but its decent enouth to not complain :p

You're on my server. If there's one thing I know it's the SH-StromScreamer. I'll message you in game at some point, or feel free to message me when you're on. I'll be glad to answer any/all questions and make suggestions or give tips.

Don't worry, you will get there :)
Sometimes you will level slower if you don't have the greatest gear/weapon! However, with an SH, it's all about the attack power.
Once you reach level 40 & become an SH your skills will all improve & if, you haven't gotten BTM (Body to Mind) skill yet, that will help you out a lot, with regeneration of MP!

im loving it so far, cant wait to update Hurricane, its very convenient skill to use for leveling

I can't remember if you have death spike yet, or not!
Anyways, if and or when you get that skill & you want to save a bit on MP, you can buy the bones, that need to be used for this skill. However it can be kinda expensive!
