i whas wondering if L3 comes out about few years...
then maybe L2 is going to die ..
and if its going to die whe payed all our money for nothing (no not nothing it is a great game and worth the money....but i think u understand me)
so would L2 ever be free-to-play??
and maybe i sound crazy but.........i hope L3 will never come XD
i hope they will updating L2 to higher graphics and stuff and that they not make a new game (L3).
i just wanned to say this....
im bored and ive just did my homework so im tired now XD
Well, don't panic. Even if L3 comes out, I doubt L2 will die. See, the first Lineage still exists and the servers are still up, even if Lineage 2 has been out for a while.
At least I'm not paying for nothing(like botters they rly pay for almost nothing). I'm playing for fun that game gives me. And stop that f2p because it's pretty much ****.
L1 still isn't free to play, over 4 years after L2 came out, in fact it still has a decent playerbase. I'm sure in a couple years alot of people will leave for L3 and they may do some more server merges, but the game will still be around for those who want to play it, the costs of keeping up a couple servers with no updates/minimal support are pretty low.

Aion and TR were supposed to steal a lot of L2 players... and WoW... but it hasn't happened. I don't think it will - hardcore L2 players keep coming back.
I think i saw L3 was supposedly coming out in 2011 so you have a few yrs yet before players jump ship for it. Only way i'd think of going to it is if i get a free character transfer for at least 2 of my 6 characters.
The designer or something actually left NC so it's unlikely to be called Lineage 3 and even more unlikely to use the Unreal engine. So basically, it'll be nothing like the Lineage we know and have none of the lore.

the player base has decreased since OB imo. I rememeber when Gludio was a thriving town as was Giran.
True that now you have more areas but this game has definately a small m (massive) what it needs is some more mergers and increase the nonBot player base.
If I'm not mistaken, Lineage (and L2) are based on a comic book series, so the lore could persist. Lineage is not written in the Unreal Engine so another engine is also possible. And people leave companies all the time, so I'd imagine if the NC direction is to make L3, L3 will be made.

L3 has been hacked from chineses hacker(or japan i forgot) , so it wont' come out unless total new idea come out
but NS soft making new game 'Blade and soul' or 'Soul and blade'

AWESOME game .... it is way better than l2 but ...it will come out approx

I was under the impression from what I've read that NCSoft was redesigning it because of the leak, not scrapping it. Prelude and C4 were leaked, yet there's plenty of ppl here playing. I hope they work on putting out L3.

L2 & L3 are most likely going to be two different games, so I doubt L2 is just simply going to go to Fee to Play at that point. Either way, L3 is years away, if there is even an L3.
Seems akin to an MMORPG version of Magna Carta, and appears to be heavily influenced by Hyung-Tae Kim's (http://www.hyung-taekim.org/) Illustration work.
anyways dead or alive aion is l3.... (even though u lvl quickly and market is not important as l2 it is infested with bots?? that is LOL!!)
I guesse you could call it that but i just googled L3 and got this from Lee talking about l3.

NCsoft is planning a summer closed beta for the upcoming MMORPG ‘Aion’.
In a conference call on February 7th NCsoft’s CFO Jaeho Lee revealed that the company is preparing for “the first Aion closed beta test to be held this summer”. Lee added that “the closed beta tests will occur with the goal of having the open beta by the end of the year.” ‘Aion’ is currently in internal testing phases within the company.
- Lee also made an official comment on the standing of their other MMORPG project, Lineage 3. Lee made known to the company’s foreign investors that “the Lineage 3 team has been reset”. The decision was made after “5 days of intense meeting and discussion”, during which it was concluded that the project lead Yonghyun Park(Lineage 3’s Project Manager) would be dismissed and the project itself put on hold. “We will bring together a new team for the project and get it back on track as soon as possible” said Lee, “Aion and other projects will not be affected by this in any way.” An employee at NCsoft added that they are “not sure if the designers that were working on Lineage 3 will remain with the project or if they will be moved to other projects.”
Very nice flick, and very..."nice" bots, btw, what the music in the background, love it ! Does anyone know ?
In any case, i like the graphics and animations in Aion alot, but it mostly depends on how playable the "contested" (they are similar to the contested areas in wow i saw) areas are in terms of % of bots and/or enemy faction camping you for 10 thousand years.. making it literally impossible to play the game for days/weeks (happend to wow alot in the beegining for many users, at least there you had pve servers).
TBH it is a tempting game, but if it's just another struggle against bots I'd rather eat bricks...
To be honest the way NC has handled Lineage has turned me off NC and as a matter of fact anything Korean...not only games but any product. If its made in Korea i steer clear.

And for those that make a living out of botting and selling Adena...Please come on the thread and defend NC...i luv how you expose yourselves all the time but i guess thats to be expected.
