Paladin IS a 2-h weapon, so yea, the great sword with focus. That's your best bet for vanguard - but only use vanguard when you are in group with another main tank or if you're soloing undead. I really didn't start to use it until I was 65.
For B-grade I used a +9 AoBA w/ health - depending on your playstyle, go with a health or focus weapon.
Don't use the s-grade option unless you have the money and expect to be s-grade before Gracia final comes (the out-of-grade penalties increase).

well the real question is this how long do u really figure on being in c grade? the way it stands now its about 10 hrs of game play from 40-52, for me is about 2-3 days. But with vr4 and haste 2 now i would do bezerker blade and vanguard. u dont need to worry about hp as u have vr and i prever to mow through the c levels.
Stay in vangaurd stance with the +10 focus and just keep to mobs that drop herbs and aren't more then white con. You do take alot of damage in vanguard stance compared to normal.
Thanks guy I was trying different sets with the coupons... and I finally went with the traditional Pally set of all times... I don't like vanguard and with a +10 Yaksa Health and the help of the wolf I'm leveling I'm virtually unstopable while leveling in pve. I also think I will keep that blunt all the way through A grade when I can afford a DLE.
