Kinda ended up in a weird situation were I can actually choose between Prophet, Warcryer and Shilien elder to pair up with my Dark avenger.
How I am looking at it atm:
SE:
VR first and foremost. Bless the blood is a very nice heal when you have to alt tab. Has the standard buffs, Focus, DW and Guidance. Lacking haste, which is a big minus for the panther pet. Otherwise it had your standard bread and butter buffs. It can recharge, which doesn't really seem all that necessary atm. Empower I guess could be decent for drains and stuff, but I hardly use them.
Warcryer:
Has most the good stuff, haste, VR, Focus, Guidance and DW. Lacking blessed shield and WW. Buffing is nice and easy compared to the other two. Takes alittle longer before he starts getting the same level as the other two but it's not bad.
Prophet:
Every buff you could almost think of... just no VR or empower. My panther pet turns into a frenzied killing machine with Haste and Berserker spirit, to the point were I am actually fighting to keep aggro of it. Lots of resist type buffs, which I think will be very required later on (59 atm). The heal isn't very good. But I as a DA, I need a good 3-4 mobs to beat on me before I start taking any real damage, shouldn't happen that often when solo'ing.
So, people have told me to stick with the prophet. I also feel that it's the best choice in the long run. Also feel my killing speed is significantly higher with the prophet buffing. Blessed shield and berserker spirit goes very nice on a tank with Sword and Shield. But, I figured i'd hear what the community have to say before I get too far on one.

This one is easy, go with Warcryer. You wont really be needing fast heals on a tank, and it also buffs your panther at the same time it buffs you.
You made all good point and right now that PP is your best buffer......till 63.
When you hit 63 you won't get newbie buffs anymore and then your going feel the pain with no VR. PP heals sucks so you will be popping Heal pots like candy. As a mellee you need VR period which right away rules out PP after 62.
Which leaves you with WC and SE.
If you go SE you can always use GSAP for haste but you will lack that for your panther. Bless the Blood and Heals are also better then any WC and your going need heals more at higher levels.
If you go WC you just need WW Pots that you buy in the store or if you Grind in the Catta you can buy the WW2 pots with aa. Yes WC get Buffs late but by the time you stop getting newbie buffs WC will have all you need if he's leveling with you and reach 62 also. Your panther will have haste and he will have greater might from chant of war. The WC has heals but you will need use Heal pots (not a lot but will use them) so have some. In the long run thou with WC buffs you will kill faster then with SE buffs which Lower the need of heals.
The other nice thing about WC is if you have some friends coming along it's no need to buff them they get the buffs anyway from the WC group buffs hee hee
So your only answer really is WC.

Like miss ashley here kinda implied but noone's said straight out. Difference between SE and WC are also that you get the greater might/shield buffs from a WC but not SE. You also get acumen which should help your castingspeed on HP leeching nukes that you DA's get, life leech and that thing from the corpses. You also eventually get that anti 10 min anti critdamage buff from WC's
From strictly melee standpoint WC is usually the better choice over SE... atleast since noobie buffs were upped to 62.
(later on if you actually get both to 78 you get cov for you, your WC and panther aswell in 1 cast xD )
I think it mainly depends on where it is that you fight. Considering a DA and panther with full buffs can go fight group mobs without much problem really. VR is very necessary in those situations though or otherwise as people said, you will spend alot on heal pots. Not just that.. a panther is useless if it's dead. If you fight mobs that are ment for groups, alot usually do AOEs that also hit the panther. You can't heal the panther so yea.. and then once it's dead, hope you can kill everything fast enough to bring up another panther and then have to go rebuff the panther and yea.. it sucks. For that situation, I would probably WC.
If though, let's say you like fighting in places that's ment for single people like silenos or places like that that drops health pots. I'd say just go for the pp. doesn't take that long to buff both you and panther and those health pots also heal your panther as well. Hope all this helps :p

This is the prime reason why I still haven't really decided. Last time I was in the 60+ grind. Mobs always had something, a nuke, a poison, bleed, stun or sleep. Would be nice to be able to resist those. None of them really got any steady healing, but the prophet can spam it.

As a DA i leveled with prophet buffs and I leveled with WC buffs...so here is my input
Yes Zerk is nice for the panther but like you said it takes a lot of hate to get mobs off of it with haste and the crit buffs as it is. Plus you get the VR for it too. It does kind of bite to be slow without WW, but at least the panther stays alive a bit longer.
Anyway, that's just me.
Or throw your EE in the big game. Then the mobs will never target the panther.
