where was you last week when we also had 4 hours downtime or in C5 when we had 1 week downtime?

I don't do as most users do .. just start the program and go to bed and gain the xp anyway .. i log out.

It's either that or they just let the servers get clogged up and laggy, take your pick. Either way we all know the OP will still be complaining even if they never brought the servers down again.
I think you're failing to realise, we are all playing by NC's rules here, not the other way around. We should just be pretty grateful that they haven't expelled every legit player and left entire servers to nothing but adena farmers and the people who buy their tarnished products with plastic money yet

I had hoped to get my little BD up one lvl today, but I guess I will skip playing today and just let the vitality go up for tomorow when I get home from my studies.

well the extended 2 hours was 2/3 of my playtime today ... and for us with a family and a life outside 2hours is a lot of playtime.

I was kind of on your side for a few minutes. Losing play time can be frustrating sure. Compensated for it? No. Who cares that you cant play for 2 hours? Nothing will change anyway...

i don't have Euro .. i have a floating Swedish Krona, that had fell like a rock the last months making the fee almost 20% higher

If I remember correctly 4 hours every wednesday. Sometimes those 4 hours becames 10 and no1 is complaining about oO Well maybe som1 does but WoW boards pretty sucks to read.

WoTLK took 1 week to be fully functional. This according to an addict of a friend I have there.
The big mistake on NCSoft part is that they have maintenance in Europe prime time. And I think they can't move it, because o the interdependence on maintenance with the NA servers, due to transfers... heh..
Maintenance is done during Normal Business hours in the US, that's pretty much the reason why it is done when it's done. Unfortunately, that falls into most Euro Prime Time.
Trust me this is very very good community compared to other ones.
There's not more than 50 or so regular posters here, most people don't do anything with the community, they stick with their clan, or completely isolate themselves. Community for this game is nearly non-existant (and from what's being done from a community management point of view, it looks like that's the way they want it to be)
Personally I don't care that much if downtime is 4h instead of 2h, as long as they would give some more explanation to why it's so long, not just a thread saying it's been extended.

The fact that you sit here waiting for the servers to come up is quite sad really. Try going outside and talk to "real" people while the servers are down, I'm sure no L2 for 4 hours wont kill you.

well those hours after downtime is one of the few times my kids and wife aint at home, so those hours is one of the few i can play...without neglecting my family.
Thats why i was upset realizing my "playday" was set back 2 hours, and as i play 6-10 hours a week and 5 of them are on tuesdays ... so those 2 extra hours was a huge % of my weekly play.
Unlike most other l2-players i have a normal life outside it, and i plan my playtime after my family not the opposite, im just unlucky to have my main playday on downtime-day.
