when i was looking for a new game i just looked in the top 10 mmos, and L2 was there.
maybe allot has to do with the new trend of games "free to play"
people get fooled by it, thinking its really free until they get to a point if you don't have items bough with RL money, you cant really play.
then after some time it becomes obvious that pay to play is cheaper then pay to enjoy
It is refreshing to see so many new faces, especially here on the forums! I would think for every new player that uses the forums, there is 10 other newbies that do not.
L2 is solid and constantly updated (for better or for worse :p ) and I sincerely hope its growth continues!
I think the $19.95 price tag at best buy helps. Did I mention it comes with 60 days of free gameplay as well. It's a bargain hunters dream and also great for adding a 6th account.
Only issue is I constantly find like 1 or 2 L2 boxes for $19.95 and the others on the shelf still marked for $39.95 or or $49.95.

Wow so many new players are comming to L2! Also many WOW players now thats nice! There we can see that the new expansions are calling some attention to others. BUT anyway, L2 should do much more advertising just like wow do. If they would, for sure L2 would be the number one for everybody. Well it is, to those who know L2 ;)

Purtroppo mi sa che non ci incontreremo in game, visto che gioco su Aria e tu hai scelto Teon. Comunque sia, benvenutissimo e non ti spaventare, di solito nelle aree piu iniziali non troverai molta gente. Ma non ti scoraggiare! La prima cosa che ti consiglio e' di cercare di trovare un buon clan con academy che ti possa dare una mano ed insegnarti un pò di piu sul gioco, perché da soli diventa VERAMENTE noioso!

Comunque sia, benvenutissimo e non ti spaventare, di solito nelle aree piu iniziali non troverai molta gente. Ma non ti scoraggiare! La prima cosa che ti consiglio e' di cercare di trovare un buon clan con academy che ti possa dare una mano ed insegnarti un pò di piu sul gioco, perché da soli diventa VERAMENTE noioso!

Heh my French's so rusty that it's not even funny. And to think that 4 years ago I wrote a whole Thesis in French (I graduated in French on 2005). Italian and Portuguese are like mother tongues (Mom's Brazilian, Dad's Italian, I've been between Italy and Brazil my whole life as in living), and English... well I just started learning it when I was young, like 12 or so.
We've seen a large influx of newbies in our clan too. And I am hoping it's game-wide, the game needs a new player boost from new, interested people too.

If you just love the game, and there is lots to love, then you'll be fine. If you actually want to be competitive in any fashion in the end-game then that quote will haunt you.
i choose teon for the italian tendency to go always in overcrowed areas of the world, and i make no exception! :P

Si si, hai fatto bene credo, anche perché Teon si trova in Germania (il server, voglio dire), quindi il ping per noi in Italia è basso. Però quando ** cominciato a giocare io, ** scelto Lionna (prima delle merges c'era un server chiamato Lionna che ora si chiama Aria dopo l'unione con un altro server chiamato Kain) anche perché Teon era terribile all'epoca... impossibile uscire dalle città iniziali senza che qualcuno ti pikappasse... quindi... Ora va molto meglio, ed ** pure dei personaggi su Teon però non credo di cambiare server :(
Comunque dai, hai Megatron che è una brava persona e ti può dare una mano, e sono sicura che troverai altre persone brave...
Per l'academy, prova a postare sul forum di Teon qua, vedi se ottieni qualche risposta, ci sono molti clan che accolgono i noob volentieri per i punti che donano al clan ;)

And for now, I'm not thinking of it. My friends are all in Aria, my clanmates, my money, my gear, everything. I'll be completely honest though, soon enough I will be going back to a normal Euro timeline (as for now, my sleeping patterns are ALL screwed up and I'm up all night and sleeping during the day mostly, so I still get to see a lot of my friends there).
I'll have to see how things work out once I'm on an normal Euro timeline. If it makes things impossible to achieve (being with friends, doing things together, manor, and stuff like that), that will be a whole other issue. But I honestly don't want to deal with it right now. I'll worry about it when time comes.

Welcome, welcome! Join a clan, utilize your ability to teleport around and interact with other players in Dion, Giran and Aden. Look for clans with "newbie friendly academies"
