I need an advice according my armor set... im near 61 and I couldn't realy decide, which A grade armor best suits my Plains Walker. I'm currently using Doom light set.
can u tell on what is based your replay ? plx :) I also think DC light is nice for me since I boosted +dex-con ... so I will hit faster, crit more, kill faster and dc has p.att bonus which Light Elves need definetly :)
Atk. Spd. +4%
P. Atk. +4%
Paralysis Resistance +50%
STR +1
CON -1
MAJ Light:
Archery P. Atk. +8%
MP +240
Weight increased plus the point at which a weight penalty is applied +5759
Stun Resistance +50%
DEX +1
CON -1
DC has extra p.att and extra attack speed and extra strength (+1 only but still nice) that results in obvious extra DPS.
Maj has only +1 dex that is a slight favor on attack speed and stab lands, things sthat are usefull on PVP. Also Maj has stun resist that is again usefull in PvP.
One downside of DC is that it has significant lower pdef (lower then doom +4/+3) but the PvE elements are definatley in its favor.
One can even simply run a DPS comparison among the 2:
1. PW 62 with BO +0 with focus with DC +0 +4str dye
- DPS: 161.5
2. PW 62 with BO +0 focus with MAJ +0 +4str dye
- DPS: 148.1
In any case, due to dagger mastery triggering quite often you can also spam specials in pve quite nicely now, but let's not count those in since it's not that easy to do :p.
P.S. I have no idea how much longer the l2calc calculations will keep their validity, esp due to melee damage increase in the last updates, but the RATIOs should maintain.
Use DC.
Avoid PvP till 76lvl, or at least avoid damage, and there will be no need to have Maj.light.
For me is ridiculous to have Maj.light on dagger only because of stun resistance...
Simple logic: PvE and PvP setup for daggers very differs, so I suggest concentrate to PvE till 76lvl, and when hit s grade concentrate to PvP.
PvE setup (all daggers):
tattoos: +5/4dex, +5/4str, -9con
armor (a grade): DC light
weapon: actually most a fine
I would say Nightmare. natural VR work in both instances and 4% pdef you cannot get from any other set. Your an upclose melee asassin and I think NM would be perfect.
Since the addition to Fame and PVP bonus for armor sets this would make alot better then DC. If your trying to resist stun's go +con dont go with a set that suits only that.
Now strenght. Your class has a chance of more crit rate since you have a better chance of getting 40+ dex with set bonus. Critting more often will offset the lower strength and since strenght doesnt offer anything in the ways of resisting anything. Then I would say lower it and then get a crit damage weapon to offset the lowered patk dmg per crit. In result you'll be harder to stun from +con, harder to root/sleep from the NM set, and harder to kill from natural VR and more pdef from the set bonus.
you can also go more +int for more resist to mental attacks and cast spd. IMO dye's for me if I where to do it +4 dex +4con and +4 wit.
But of course some may have different ideas but NM more Pdef then DC and resists more curses and better then MJ since your not worried about being stunned since you dont really kite like an Archer. I think overall NM will do it fine and in PVP get resist stuns from an EE. I think you'll never switch this set till draco IMO.
DC Armour:
Atk. Spd. +4%
P. Atk. +4%
Paralysis Resistance +50%
STR +1
CON -1
-4 Con + 4Dex (optional -1str +1 dex)
This gives you -5con +5dex in total.
As a PW in PvE and PvP you main source of dmg is your crits and stabs (higher dex = higher land rate of stabs/lethals)
Main source of survival against melee is your evasion. Tanks bd/sws other daggers melee etc will find it very hard to touch you with +dex set up archers with miss there normal shots giving you chance to get up close and personal -5 con dosnt help with hp or stun so keep that in mind when you PvP and PvE
Personally I let the meat shields run in first target my robe/light armour uses, use my run speed to my advantage and get round behind them for backstab deadly and blinding if they think they can try and run.
Picking an armour is not just about pve or pvp its about how you play your char. if you wanna storm in the front line every time agaisnt a wall of enemies then Maj is better choice for more pdef and stun resit and if you play like that your gonna want to do the whole -8con +4dex+4str
I will also say NM light is good for PvE (against Magic mobs) and PvP with mages but still go +dex cause even with the extra mdef your still gonna drop fast against a mage.
im guessing i posted this to late but let us know what setup/build you went for and how its working out.
I thought that land rate of blows and stab is affected by str not dex. I rly want the balance pvp/pve because I farmed apostate last night and I killed 2 times a PK TH.., you can't just pve all the way to the 78...! PVP just happen and I'm not care bear. I realy think I can compensate CP with cp pots. I've also heard that I can hit 43 dex with doom light and dyes, and on 43 the bonus from dex doubles. But I'm not rly sure that this is correct. If it is right I don't rly need Agr set..! I've just hit 61.. but cannot decide yet :( mb the choice is easy in terms of how I play my char. If the opponent make misstake I must be able to take advantage of him no matter what armor I wear..
I will have to check what effects the land rate of stabs i was almost certain it was dex, but will check it out.
If you can get +6 doom light set go all the way to S grade in that baby :) Evasion FTW!
What A wep have you gone for? I went BO+3 focus and have +11 crit augment. I had SS +3 crit dmg which was nice dmg output but with the BO+3 focus its rare that i dont crit when fully buffed lol :)
Stick with the doom light a bit longer and get your a grade weapon sorted first.
if you have your weapon... i would seriously consider getting DC light, seems to be a nice balance between pve pvp which is what your after.
I will also say NM light is good for PvE (against Magic mobs) and PvP with mages but still go +dex cause even with the extra mdef your still gonna drop fast against a mage.
I don't know where you this from. I don't remember NM have 4% mdef, if it was before it's not now. NM light has 4% pdef, I checked on pmfun and they got it wrong and this site I dunno.
Just saying. PLaying my freinds AW with more Pdef make it a breeze and in PVP should be just as good, since more pdef then DC. Nuker drop alot of toons with low Mdef that can't spam CP fast enough.
I did a check also on L2 calc since I might sub of these. I noticed the stats, self buffed @ level 62 with NPC where they fit in. NO tatts and a Soul Sep +3 no + on armor's and since you get VR level 4 with NPC buff and Herbs the VR amount is 26.6 on NM or 6.6 more HP back.
Also if you get a baby pet to level 60 buffalo or couger to 70 to get the VR affect then you can always have **** near close to NPC buff forever with AI heals that get better in level.
Now if you had in the tattoes NM with get you 41 dex and it's top A grd which can be PVP modded. So is DC a better at PVP or PVE considering herb VR drops and natural VR alone with 4% pdef.........
So anway just an idea. I just know it works well on a AW with couger heals to keep up a bit more. Just love that HoT and VR it's like poppin 4 ghps at once. I almost have in me to do a RSK. Haste just cuase the pet keeps you almost right there. But not my toon lol
OP please excuse me (Since you are considering your A Grade). But I was also wanted to know (without starting another uneccesary thread) what is a good B Grade armor set for a Plainswalker. Thanks in Advance, Kayley
For B grade I would suggest using Doom Light if you can affored it or get Zubei from the Luxury shop. I dont really like Doom Light so I say get the Zubei because its much cheaper.
