Some time ago I was moving my toon to Bartz so I can play with old friends there. I left game soon after since Bartz lag was unbearable. After a while I decided to come back and try Gracia2 and I've been playing on Bartz since, but the lag is still present. So far is best best server I've ever played on and I've been trying Devianne, Franz and Luna (i really wanted Euro), the last two are not an option for me since I've been 100% legit and I do play the game when I got time. So Bartz seemed a great server, pick-up-groups, fair split of drops, polite people and exquisite players, I couldn't ask more except having less lag.
I really can't play on Bartz any longer, because of the lag pvp is absolutely not an option and killing mobs all day long solo coz I'm not reliable to play in a party can become very boring.
So my question is, what server would be a good option for a legit player?
Well, Every server has his bots..some less other a bit more. But i cant tell you which server has less activity of bots. The best Euro server is Teon. It has a lot of population and no lag at all. Well i am not high lvl enough but since i am playing on teon, i saw few bots and their werent interfearing with my gameplay nor i was angry because i went my way. If you are searching for a godd server without lag and much population, i would consider Teon for you. People are also very kind and help very much if needed. I never had there any problems with players. About the bots? well..bots are on every server...but as i told, i dont have problems with them since i dont see much of them so i would say, teon is a playable server.
Hmm.. a long time ago..I had a SH, named Berendal, which was deleted in C5.. when I left for WOW.
So.. when I came back.. Mid C"7".. I grabbed my BD, BlackBee, and used it as main.
Thanks a lot for your replays, Euro would suit me better since I'm euro and always had troubles with oly and siege times.
I'll think about Teon, even tho I hot absolutelly no resources there, from this point of view dev would suit me better, still having adena and items left on it, but back to NA times again would be frustrating for oly and sieges....
Because all my RL friends went there.. but I only stayed there for 2 months. After total boredom.. and tired of raiding every day.. since there was no other goal. I quit and went to play 9 Dragons/AAO for online gaming and a bunch of other offline games.
Well i dont like WoW because of its toon grafics and to much restrictions and crazy rules which i never could understand. Maybe because i always were a L2 player... :P L2 4Life!
Display, Teon is a great server in terms of population, good community and no LAG. I play there and i never would consider to change to a nother server.
Teon is ok. Actually I have no experience in other servers :) But before I started to play, I got same suggestion to go to Teon.
Good things:
- big population
- many clans and active ones
- 2 big opositing allys and some clans around them
- some politic
Bad things:
- there are bots, not everywhere but you can find them easily, check WOA, catas, varkas and etc.
- most peoples prefere to solo with out of party buffer

Well i can lvl good alone or with a party without finding a bot. Catas are much more emtpty now (bots). Sure in high lvl areas you find some more often BUT you always find spots for yourself and you dont need to bother you with bots. At least i dont have any problem with them since i dont see much of them on teon. If you come to teon then: Welcome and have fun! people help a lot and are very kind for new players. :)

A: good/non risky spots are taken by bots usually. Of course you can find a spot or steal some mobs from bot group, or kill bots ;)

A: begin of IT, MOS, Pagan (don't know about HB) are taken by bots usually. Deeper depends. Random groups...sometimes there are shouts in cities/hero chat that some parties LF BD/DD/etc. to pagan/IT and etc. Don't expect to go to pagan and join there, try to join in city.
Q: How are catas?
A: before "Bot hammer" it was awfull. Just after it was empty, but later (2 weeks) some new bot groups started to appear. Don't know how it is now.

. couple days ago was banhammer on Teon server which even heros banned and their bot treins at catas/IT/FOG/MOS/pagan ect ....
. u have no chanse to solo in any place all cats full of bots and if u pk em to take room (probbaly ll be one of ur clan members bot train >.< ); a bot protector which lvl80+ nuker or dagger ll appear near u = u died
. If u nobl and with full epic 5/5 or min5/2 u can join in a top clans and again u only can exp at HB if u have luck because ppl pvp/pk with allys 4 spot ROFL
. If u legit player u have no chanse to win pvp because %95 of em using weird third party programmes which auto spam cp/healpots and auto target u so even if u TH with mirage they never lose their targets >.<
. U need excellent net-connection and uber PC to join sieges/mass pvp if u have no = 20 sec lag spikes so u or ur party died (lag happens because Teon always HEAVY traffic just because lots of BOTs)
. Teon is a good server which if u dont mind even ur clan memebers botting/selling adena rl money >.< ,which almost half of heros botted/ebayed toons y than u can transfer to Teon..

when i first started the game i didnt know so i choose devianne in luck...
after reching lvl 20 i went to dion to make friends
i stared xping around dion were strange ppl with +16 top d deapons were xping 24x7
i said hi...
no response (none!!)
after a few weeks that nobody had ever speaked to me in that junk server i strated
pking ppl (i though now they might speak to me!!)
my karma darkwizard lvl 23 stayed red many days out of dion and nobody bothered to kill me eventhough i was shouting my position...
next day del char rerolled at franz (it was 1.5 years ago... franz was awesome... full of ppl!!)
so from my personal xperience avoid american servers like hell!! to few ppl and most of them are bots...
try an euro server instead... most ppl have moved to teon theese days so ill recomend u to stay away if u want to xp...

Lags on Teon are the blank horror.....sometimes I have the same pic for 2-5 seconds and can do nothing....
last 2 days I started a toon on Luna, not so much bots but same lag problems. But it is nice to level @luna because there are not so much bots around the low level citys like dion :)

because the most already are high lvl players which used bots since the opening from luna. Now those bots are in 70+ areas ;)
How long they needed? 2-3 month till heros appear? gg
Well you cant compare Teon with Luna. There are so many differences. You need to know, Teon is the most populated server from all others we have.
positive things or bad things, I like teon and enjoy playing there with my friends.
Well to be honest Teon is a really crowded server .. lots and lots of bots, but still there is lots of players too. About 3rd party "pvp-software" .. both the big sides always use it, and some in the smaller clans/allies, but not in the amount that pvp-ing among them is annoying.
If u come to Teon .. join a clan outside the "big-ones" and u will find a nice server with active live players
Teon is now:
1. Best server for experiencing high end game content.
2. Many ppl bot up on other servers and trasfer to Teon.
3. Best place for epic selling. Many ppl buy epics from other servers and transfer them to Teon.
4. Best inter-clan dramas and wars. 3 sides.
5. Best by live players playing.
6. ofc tons and tons of bots everywhere, anywhere.
7. top allies are 50-70% russian ppl.
Still understand why NC can sit and say there doing everything can to get rid of the bot population when close to 5 years of the game they have only banned 400k plus bot account when other MMO's such as Warhammer claim on the very first page of there website to have banned over 500,000 account within the first year and WOW well over 1.2 million accounts ... Is it just the revenue situation or folks trying to keep there jobs as long as possible ... just wondering ...

I cant agree you on the bot thing. I may be not ueber high lvl. But I rarly see bots. You all complain about bots, man..their are on every server....So dont advertise teon as "full of bots" server because it isnt.

Lineage II is known as a Hardcore game with mass PVP and freedom. And it is good as it is belive me. if it would be to easy, we would just a nother WoW game for kids.
Teon is the server with the highest 3rd party software usage to help in pvp of all servers and hit 78+ before saying there are no bots as the GM's actually recently banned quite some accounts that were found botting in IT & Pagens..
having said the above it's still the highest populated server so there should also be plenty of ppl with like minds as the op to be an ok server for him..

Pick a server based on where you live, or invest into a newer computer. Bartz isn't close to the highest population on some servers, and if you can't handle that as is, you either need a serious upgrade, or a different server closer to home, which I'm going to guess is a Euro server, so try an East Coats server perhaps.

Ok, pick yours glad - he is highest level and have most survability - and check these areas:
- field of masacre, just south from tp spot, usually most chars exping there on bot programs
- blazing swamp - you will see some groups of people "working together"
- wall of argos - just after first rooms you should find most of spot taken (maybe except angels spots)
- get into catas, start from Apostate (run through all cata you will se most rooms taken)
- check wich and disciples (dangerous places for your level)
- check varka, be carefull, but even from tp spot you should se some groups hunting mobs
- Garden of beast (north-west from goddard). 80% of exp population are bots
I can continue ....
By the way, after last bot hammer this may be not true any more....didn't checked

Yeah, the same places are bottet as hell on franz. The best places to exp or get some drops / spoils / quest-items.

Since spam cleaned the servers, i dont see much more bots on those areas. Its rare. Also as i told and also other users here, bots are on every server. More populated or less populated servers. Also if i see bots i dont care as long they dont interfear on my daily farming. Also the map is big. There are always places to farm alone. All what i want to say is i dont care if bots are there. I enjoy my time i play and i do :)

Hmm, maybe you have buff box/buff friend.
For example I: If I login not in standard time, I am restricted to ch (@Aden) buffs duration, and well, it is not enough to go to far away places...so lets looks what was 2 weeks before:
1. buffs from ch - 20min left to rebuff
2. gk->goddard->varkas: most spots taken, some random war tags - 15min left to rebuf
3. soe to goddard
4. woa->first spot(taken)->next spot(taken), third spot (taken) - 8min left to rebuf
5. soe to goddard
6. beast fields - most spots taken, steal some mobs
7. end of buffs soe to ch
// next round
8. buffs from ch - 20min left to rebuff
9. tp to BS
10. first spot taken
11. next spot taken
12. third spot semi taken, ok stay there. ~1.5% exp income per buff round on 76lvl not impresive
13. end of buffs soe to ch
14. buffs from ch - 20min left to rebuff
15. gk->tp to silent waley
16. WTF even here bot party runing and with pole massing groups! Flag on them. Ehheee, theys mass skills make them flag too!!! Kill bot group.
17. Having 14minutes to normal exp.
That was normal day.
What I have found - Lair of antharas usually have low bot population.
