so i just got ES yesterday, and was just kinda wondering what kinda places would be good to lvl at.
i've got a PP 2box so the summon will have some buffs, obviously not vr, but i figured i could heal it..
but anyways, any good lvling spots out there?

You can also look on your map on the hunting grounds tab, it shows areas and the level range of mobs there.
Wow, follow that list and die, die, die! Look for areas where you can work green/white mobs while you learn how to coordinate with pony. Boxer is great cuz you can heal/recharge each other forever if you are careful. Use soulshots and spiritshots for both master and pony for max damage. At lvl 40+ the areas around Heine offer a variety of levels
Just wanted to add that you don't really need to use ur pony until ~52, coz level <52 you can still use ur nukes learnt at lvl35 to nuke mobs (ofc find a herb dropping area and mdef weak ;p )
Garden of Eva is bad for a low level ES. Too many Adds. Maybe you know a better spot, though. All of them were really dangerous when I tried it on a 44 ES (with SE Buffs i.e. VR).
Best thing to do until B-grade is just nuke. Once you run out of mp, summon boxer and recharge. Your nukes are weak, but you pretty much have unlimited mp.

Can level just as fast with servitor out. That's a horrible way to play a Summoners. Why not just roll an SPS instead?

if you die alot in the areas at 40+ on a summoner than you should consider another game. Some of these areas you shouldn't die at all. Especially with prophet buffs

Some of those areas (like Garden of Eva) are really difficult for level 40 Summoners.
40: Ivory Tower Pit: Eyes and Gargoyles, only gollems if you have a recharger and/or high on mp and feel you can spare it
43-45+ North of Ivory Tower: Formers and Bugbears
(beteen these two: Pavel Ruins is good)
54-55 + Outlaw forest: Gargoyles, Bassalisks and/or the Mahums
Completed 3 warlocks, 1 Elemental Summoner and 1 Phantom Summoner this way.
Elemental summoner was fastest. Did all with their summons out sometimes but only if I didnt have a recharger or got bored as straight nuking is fastest.
PS has a 30% servitor with (IIRC) Passive VR, but I still think it would get ***** in GoE at level 40 without help buffing its summon. Assume the person has no OOP buffers, and give appropriate places :o
GoE is not an appropriate place for a level 40 ES.

Nuking on an ES is boring. You leveled it through NG and DG so you can use summons. Players rolling these classes need to learn to play, not rush to A Grade, IMO. The low levels teach you a lot about the mechanics of the class. I have met some summoners who didn't even know how to cure Poison off their summons. They just healed the damage instead. Nukes are FTL on ES :P
40-44: do Ivory Tower Crator or up top (in a field where the mobs aren't too congested).
44-52: Pavel Ruins, Forest of Evil (and/or Outlaw Forest)
56-60: Forsaken Plains, VoS (Entrance Mobs only), Beast Farm, Fields of Massacre
60+: VoS, Blazing Swarmp, Fields of Massacre
I don't know after that, my Warlock is 59 and I have been doing Dungeons for a while now (to level my EE), but I have leveld in each of those places. I was leveling my EE using Warlock at 58 in Fields of Massacre. Most of the mobs are white, so you can probably stay there and move to Blazing Swamp at 60-62.
I have buffs so I cannot give you an accurate depiction of dungeon XPing on Summoner if you have none. I have done Apostate for Several Levels on my EE with just EE buffs, though (basically, Might 3 that I needed). I did mostly the Entrance mobs, and the big room in the middle. I could handle a big room without need to heal myself with EE or anything. I did utilize Recharge, so maybe I am not a good person to base you expectations on :)
My roomate is leveling an ES (52) and if he can level it through those places without hardly ever dying... You should be able to also.

I understand your point. People play summoners just so they can summon. Yet, I feel as though the 40's go by so fast anyways that nuking doesn't get too boring. In my experience so far with my new ES its been faster to nuke. Also, once you hit B-grade you will get haste 2 for your summons, which make them even better.
If you are worried about learning your class, you can take some time to get a feeling for the basics. There really isn't too much variety to summoners. Just summon, buff, heal, etc...
