I make it short, we need a new webpage. Since the forum got updated and all is very fine and up-to-date, the web page is falling behind more and more. The style is old, many links dont work or are almost impossible to reach. With that i mean you can click on them because they dissapear before you can click them. The information on the page is way to old. Updates on news or fanart and screenschots never more got updated. The link to the patchnotes still says Gracia Part1 and much more leaks. The site looks like nobody from NCSoft cares and its getting more and more dust in it. Now, my questions is, is NC knowing about this issues and are working/thinking about doing something? Will this be considered at all? Really, the web site needs some searious attention from NCSoft. It would be nice if any member of NCSoft could give here any answer. Also what are your opinions about this players? Thanks!
I agree on that , + they should really change the information and pictures on armors+ weapons and other items , they need to update everything and yeah site is pretty old+
All other fan lineage 2 sites are doing way better job than the real one
And since it's a presentation site not a site that offers much of a functionality at all... it should be quite easy, I guess they're not allocating any budget/time to the web team... :(.
Drakonz I totally agree with you! There are a lot of things that have to be updated, starting from some normal information ending on screenshots of new armors/weapons (the current ones are from C4 era, it's a bit too old), new game and players screenshots, fanarts, it would be usefull if we had any info how to send them. :)
When Alyra was here you could tell that there was no money for site updates and that anything that was done to the site would need to be tweaks to what was already there or free solutions that could be tacked on. Hell, I'm shocked that they even took the time to import the forum database when they switched bulletin board software. Seriously, do any of you even remember the "Castle Control" section being broken for months without a peep?
I'll venture a guess that none of you have ever worked at a startup that has run out of venture capital? Here's a hint: NCsoft-NA is what that looks like from the outside. Lineage 2(in NA/EU at least) is what's known as the "life support" phase of an MMO and it's been like that for probably four years now.
how about someone with a ton of spare time on their hands and an extensive knowledge of html just make a whole new website the way it should be...and have limited wiki input that sources who adds what...then just submit it to nc and possibly get a life-time subscription to l2 in thanks.

Well there appears to be plenty of budget/time in developing new copy/paste responses to questions posed by the community regarding the in game petition system ... since those seem to be developed so quickly and with such imagination why not take one of those folks off that and have them redevelop the website ...

much easier to hit ctrl+x, switch screens, and press ctrl+v than it is to re-design such a huge website from scratch.

First of all its not a huge website nor would they have to do it from scratch. And designing the website they do have could be done faster than an FS clan member can make it hero, which is really fast in the back of DO ...

Hell, i would volunteer to redo the equipment and skills library if i thought it was gonna actually be used and updated. But the chance of it being kept up to date is pretty slim judging by how updated the current system is.

you're referring to the fact that the pictures for the skills are still in low d grade and almost always of the same skill just from a different angle?

maintane the skill and equipments is th easy part.
the hard part is to build it up from scratch, but then again NCSoft has all the info they need about everything laying in the server databases.
if I where to redo the site for NC I would had taken a copy of the items database and used PHP/PL-SQL to sort and get the data on the site.
I wanted to do that for my site, but I found it easier and faster (also faster in the browser) to just use JAVA
