How to get B grade amour/weapon?

General Discussion Started Last reply 43 posts
Hi all

I've been trying to get b grade armour...one problem, it's not sold in the high majority of npc stores and the one store its sold in requires crystall. Also PC stores charge INSANE prices e.g. 24,000,000 adena!

Now as a kamael character, I cant make crystals and obviously cannot afford prices mentioned.

...I some time wonder if the L2 creaters expect people to check and use bot to progress in game?

So does anyone have any tips.idea how i can aquire b grade and above armour /weapons?
Well i could write here hours to tell you how because there are many ways to do it. But none of them is easy. Please know this, L2 is a Hardcore game, a grindgame which means you should dedicate a lot before playing it. This game isnt much designed for casual players like most WoW players are and are used to. Also it isnt a game for playing solo. You cant surivive alone. You need get friends and partys for lvling to succeed.
The shops are only selling til C grade. You maybe luck that mobs drop some comun B grade parts or you may also buy comun B grade parts which is much more cheaper than the original. I saw a entire set for 5mil. Difrence? comun cant be enchanted. Or you get materials needed to craft that parts by your own. But it is a long way to get all mats for crafting every part for it. Try to hit the market. Make multiple chars for farm mats or adena. use more than 1 account for dual box, 1 account playing the other selling on the market. Sell tuff higher than you bougth or just get a clan which may give you a helping hand. You know, one hand washes the other ;)
Anyways, to get B grade you need to invest time and pacients..if not you wont succeed. Hope i could help you a bit.
You have a few options
This is most expensive to least expensive 1 being the most 3 being the least

1. Buying Top B grade from a Player Shop Will run you anywhere from 50mill to 100mill If you spend more than 100mill on B grade (unless OEin) Then you spent way to much. Now as a Kameal Doom Light is prolly the set you'll want. If Bzrker just go make a Great Sword in the Crystal Shop for about 10mill. Any other type of kameal Top B weps will be around 40-80mill.
2. Buy the Crystals from a Player Shop I usually get a Low b wep for 11mill, and armor is about 8-10 mill about 25mill for all, including jewels.
3. Buy Common gear from Player's, This will probably run you from 5-10mill and if you didn't plan on SA'in or Enchanting will work out the best.

If you got no adena, You can either Find a Place with 1x mobs that are green/light blue to you and farm them for adena, Then De-lvl yourself to stay with there range.

You Could also make an alt dwarf art, Craft DSS for a few weeks, Not the fastest way but decent.

Try and find a clan that will be willing to give you a helping hand, or some tips on how they make money.

Last but not least sell yourself as a ****** for 100a an hour.
Very funny...But thanks for the info

...but I have to ask how do you guys make 10million adena...it seems as if everyone knows something I dont? I mean do you use soul shot or go without using it. As I find i'm constantly making a little more than the money Ive use to purchase it.
Well when you hit 40 you can take the quest Special Order at Grocer Helvetia and for reward you get wondrous cubic , which can give you random enchant cubic piece and you can trade it for weapon enchants ( fine cubic piece) or armor enchants ( rough cubic piece)

You can sell them for quite good price+ all the common drops you get save them and make a dwarf scavenger or artisan and break them to get crystals and sell them or craft soulshots.
Very funny...But thanks for the info

When I said farm Light Blue-Green I mean w/o Soulshots or any other consumble if possible. Also this game isn't like WoW where u can farm or quest for the money you need. You need to know how to the play the economy, Buy Low, Sell High.

I tryed you to tell on my post above how to make adena ;) One thing i can tell you, alone or just playing with one char, you wont be able to do it.
Forgive me for sounding reaaallly stupid but what is a cubic and whats a good price to sell them at?

I understand what your saying Drakonz...I suppose I was hoping there was an easier more efficient way of making adena.
Its a cubic you obtain via quest and you it produces enchant scrolls at random one per day. The price you may sell them depends on the server you play on. just look a bit around and see for how much others sell it.
Hm...well a esier way..i dont think there is one :S If you are new in this game, dont worry..get friends or a clan..they will help you ;) and the more often you play..the faster you get used to the gameplay.
Your right... Its just anoying not being able to aquire things without going through a masisve upheaval.
Yap i agree..I passed trough it also..but well..the game isnt desinged to play alone.. :( Anyways, good luck!
I agree & thanks for info :)
don't be discouraged...deathhynder was a tyrant who was in theca leather until level 67 when the clan finally just gave him better armor.

the most basic rule of lineage 2...money comes with time or cheating -- most people on this forum prefer the former.
B grade is overrated, it's easier to just skip most of it. If you've got plated leather from C grade, it's better than any of the B armors anyway. If not, none of them are so great as to be worth upgrading. For a melee, any common B weapon is fine. Look around, shout a little, tons of people just have them sitting around in their wh with nothing to do with them, can probably get one for 1m.

The real problem comes with A grade, but again just get a common weapon for 2-3m until you can afford something better.
you can also get b weapon recipes from a quest in schuttgart territory but i forget which one it is. reward is random though so you may have to do it quite a bit before you get the one you want.

generally, low b weapons are good enough to get you by until you can pull an a grade one out of your.........hat.

Grinding up in levels is only 1/3 of this game.

You can split up L2 in 3 parts:
1. grinding
2. play the marked/farm materials (basicly make adena)
3. pvp

if you only do point 1 and 3 you will find yourself without equipment
I think seeding is the best way for peeps that don't have a lot of adena to invest to make Adena. Some seeds you can buy for 10 adena and they will earn you 1000 adena crops. If you can seed the Catas and Necs you can get multiple crops per seed.

Of course you will have to beat the people that use automated programs for the turn in. (sorry Retribution just telling it like it is).
It's most difficult but it can be done.

The other way is to make a Dwarf that can craft and buy recipes (if you are legit you will waste your time trying to get a good recipe to drop) Also buy the key mats (same problem as the recipe) Then you can seed for the normal mats and craft some items. Unfortunitely you will have to be looking at Top B and above since you can buy the lower items from the store

lol I hear ya
yeah...WTS 12k 52+ fruit on sayha.
If you really get into this game there is another aspect besides
1. grinding/killing monsters
2. working the market
3. PvP
its
4. research, there are several websites that will help you find or hunt for the right armor peices and weapon parts so you can craft them. Not to mention finding out what rewards you get for which quests before you devote hours of time to them.
Many people run crafter characters just for thatpurpose.
I've been working on my A grade materials for several months now.

look in the fan sites section to find some good sites.
Good luck
Lots of wisdom here, but I have another nugget for you...

Forget B Grade. Its a waste of money that you will wish you had when you are eligible for A Grade. B Grade is the grade you spend the least time in (except for D Grade now that it is free)

As said before, Common weapon is the way to go, especially at B Grade.
Lol @ Tabbi....I was gonna say forget B/A Grade save for S :p

If you PvsE you can easily get by with Common A everything.
Very funny...But thanks for the info

Hmm-where to begin?

Okay, first. It is tempting to tell you to skip B-grade. Top C-gear is actually very competent.

Secondly. You cannot hunt your way to 10 million adena in any realistic time frame--with our without soul/spirit shots. Not going to happen. (as a caveat, you can't really quest or RB your way to any appreciable adena either--except as a function of pure luck).

Third. If you run a dwarf up to lvl 20 to make DSS you're going to be VERY disappointed in your earning potential.

So how CAN you make money? You've gotten a couple of good tips. I'll try to expand on them.

A) You should have been manoring from level 8 on your server. Particularly in the low levels! While you level this extra adena can add up more significantly than anything else you do! Too many players blow past lvls 10-45 and then go "oops! this new stuff is expensive!" Depending upon server, seed, your skill, turn in material--it is very possible to make around 100k per hour without any special skills or gear. I can easily do this on a level 12 melee toon in Hardened Leather shop gear that isn't even a set! Falchion is nice if you're a sword melee but all the top NG's will work. Manoring won't make you 20 million adena as a new player or in two weeks at level 18. But it will STEADILY increase your earning and teach you about an important part of the game. You have a LOT of reading to do to catch up on this if you don't already know about it. I'll give you one hint: manor where others aren't when possible.

B) Spend some time fishing. Particularly at your mid-levels (30's-40's) you can generate profits many ways from fishing. Again, you have a lot of reading to do to learn what/how.

C) Marketing is finding something to sell for profit. I'd love to tell you all about this but tbh I'm tired of going over the same things again and again. Your 'hint' here is this: You can "market" almost ANYTHING in this game for profit.

D) The secret to adena manufacture in the game is to understand a couple of core concepts. 1) your fellow players are lazy. 2) your fellow players are not particularly bright. You'll make considerably more from concept #1 than from concept #2. So go into a cata and farm seal stones. If AA is selling well (5 or 6a each) then convert seal stones and sell AA to the lazy. If aa is selling poorly, convert aa into potions, port to a popular town where no one is selling and set up a sell shop at max server price (NOT Giran!). Sometimes hunters village is not served by sell-shops. If GSAP is going for 30k on your server, set up a sell shop in Hunter's (if no one is there) and sell them for 35k or 38k each.

E) This one will shock you--watch the Warsmiths on your server in Giran. Some are more active, some have shops with more stuff in them every day, some shout from u-craft-shops, etc. TALK to a couple of them and ask them candidly for advice on earning adena. I've found that some of the Marketing players are pretty helpful when asked to share information.

Anyway, you get the idea here. You have a lot of studying to do because any idiot can level a toon. It's a function of time. Creating a legitimate 100m in adena in the game is MUCH harder than hitting A-grade. So hard that a huge % of the players on your server CAN'T create 100m adena and in fact, never HAVE.

Go another route--work at earning adena! You'll be in a small, select group at the very least :)

PS. As for crafting your own B-grade. Most of the set pieces drop from mobs that are from lvl 65-70 themselves! In areas like fotd. You aren't going to realistically go into those areas to farm drops at level 52 and come out with armor pieces. You're mostly going into those spots at 52, solo, and dying there.
To be honest if not friends who helped me back in interlude I wouldn't be here now. I've been playing market for 2 or 3 months w/o lvling just o earn enough money to afford B grade weapon. But at that time i was in high school. Parties, girls, friends took most of my time so just to set up and leave shop was not a problem for me and I did not care too much. But now if I would have to do the same, I would rather quit and I fully understand thread author and I can argue for that:

Common C is cheap, but shot/adena ratio is almost -, so you have no chances to earn enough money even than you hit 61 being in C.

You could say play market, but it will took you at least 2 month to get decent money... And during that time 0 progress done. Just sit and watch to shop is not fun at all. Specially with all those market crysis we're having...At that time you're lucky because you can sell gear for 500mil and month later buy same gear for 250 but DO NOT FORGET THAT NEW PLAYERS DO NOT HAVE GEAR TO SELL. And play market at that time for new players imposible because prices are going down with each day.

Also you could say find clan. But common, it's not C2/c3 when clans were helping to gear up. Now if you can't do this by yourself, G T F O.

Agree game became way easier, but so as community changed.. Ofc not to good side.. My advise for all new players that are willing to choose legit path w/o friends who could help them just quit this game and w8 for AION. Ofc if you like watching your char sitting in town for few months it's a game for you.
I'm just going to say this... this game is sortof like life...

major rules

it takes money to make money
you can't progress through game/life alone
making money takes time and dedication, especially from scratch
miracles cannot be counted on
being the best takes full commitment
Just not that long.. Games are meant to be fun. It's fun to play than you've gear, because you can do smth! Well in other hands game focuses on endgame only but ncsoft forgot that more veterans are leaving than new ones are comming. So focus on endgame only is pretty much stupid. But HEY! It's NC we're talking about.

As of last update, I agree. New players have lost a rare, but reliable way to make adena from the grind, full item drops.

I geared myself with selling/crystallizing (for shots) full drops (and friends helped too). It didn't take many full drops to make enough shots to sell in order to gear up.

Enchants are all but worthless and full drops no longer happen. Common gear does not yield enough crystals to feed the hungry maw of peeps that want to buy shots versus craft them for themselves. It seems that almost all roads to making adena while (very slowly) leveling have been removed from the game.

Of course, since full drops no longer happen there is absolutely no excuse for not manoring.

All of this is unintended circumstances, but the rule/drop changes have all played into the strengths of out soulless friends.

Of course, one could just run through the front rooms of heretics and pick up all the common stuff that is laying about. Doing that on a regular basis might yield a small profit in DSS/DBSpS.
Go to catas and farm AA
Enter a clan that farm forts and get eppaulets, sell them.
Learn how to make shots on dorfs craft stores, with 1 mi you can make 100k profit, and keep going till you can buy A and S crystals to start making more profit.
Buy common equipment till A grade with 3mi you can have a full B set+ weapon
Quests like coin of magic can give you toons of money.
Learn how to buy cheap and sell with profit.
Sell your mats, and try to use manor.

+1..Heck +1,000,000!
all my A grade was either got on drops or traded with other armor i got on drops so i have to agree with that
best drop i've ever got was a sword of revolution from a fettered soul...and it was like 20 levels lower than me when i killed it.

but i still support full drops since a grade sets are topping out at 200 mil now.
other than some elven jewels in Dragon Valley and a ******* Sword in Orc Barracks (God I thought that was great back in C2!!!!) and a C-shield a long time ago---I've never gotten drops that were worth much.

I know a lot of players who CLAIMED they got drops (lmao) and saw some myself that were impressive.

As for being some huge boost financially within the game. No. To say they were 'rare' is understating the case considerably.

Still not the point. New players need to understand that earning/creating adena in the game will take EFFORT (study, tracking, reading, analyzing trends, etc.) and TIME.

No lvl 30 player is going to make 50 million a week on their first toon. Not going to happen--especially now when the newbie gets to lvl 40 in about 5 days!
The current game design has new players getting higher, faster, more broke, and with LESS information about game details than ever before.

Just depends on which school of thought you ascribe to as to whether you think that's good or not.
Either you think newbies should hit a-grade in a week, or you think newbies should take months to get to a-grade like it used to be. There are pros and cons to both arguments.

Given the last chronicles and the changes they've brought--it seems clear NCSoft is concentrating on speed PAST the low levels. Sure been the trend. Personally I think this simply encourages ebaying and botting but hey, who am I?

My 3 cents
~D~

Edit: You're kidding me, right! YOU HAVE THE Bas **** Sword IN the game!! and it's blocked on the threads! lol.
somebody might have said this but i didnt read then all....
my suggestion is get a greatsword or keshenberk from the lux shop w/ crystals and get focus on it... and buy a C grade Plated Leather set from the armor store in giran (set bonus +4 str) PL is by far the best leather set until A grade when you may need to switch it out for somthing w/ more pdef... i use PL on all my light armor toons untill atleast 61 and in most cases higher and unless your pvping it wont be a problem...

training high lvl bots before C5 was a good bussiness :p

[1] DO CONSTANT RAIDS [2] ATTEMPT TO GET FULL DROPS [3] CRUSH FULL DROPS FOR CRYSTAL [4] BYE ITEMS WITH CRUSHED CRYSTALS
Well on teon you can get a comun B grade BW heavy set for 4million or less.
on sayha you can get a real bw heavy set for 80-100 mil.
Well when you hit 40 you can take the quest Special Order at Grocer Helvetia and for reward you get wondrous cubic , which can give you random enchant cubic piece and you can trade it for weapon enchants ( fine cubic piece) or armor enchants ( rough cubic piece)

Exchange elcyum powders to crystal at mammon.
Get the powders from crystalizing low lvl gear, or instances like fortuna.

Or get elcyum crystal from some raid bosses, or crystalize high level gear.
Wow, you r working in a unwordly level of thread necromancy, guys.

Hardin is jelly.

An undead thread has more power than a skeleton whose bones have all broken before it has even tried to lift itself out of its grave.

Yeah, that's why necromancy is stupid. Corpses are crazy weak.

If you want someone who can pierce the veil of death in a useful way, get a priest. Or a real mage.
