Now that there are changes coming to the Tyrant skill set i'm wondering what the new cookie cutter will be.
I guess whats to happen is that Bison is gonna have a long cool down so you can't spam it. Spud says that Hawk is 1 min up 5 down (haven't gotten thers yet so don't know)
Spud suggested maybe Rabbit for PvsE i tried it last night and Puma is better.
I was thinking of going with Focus Blood's and forgetting about Health and set myself up for a Focus Build....maybe NM Light for the extra VR.
Just wanted to know from other experienced Tyrants what you intend to do.
As i stated in another thread i really can't afford to experiment with equipment and such so i kinda gotta get it right the first time.
Bison, 1 or 2 min up 10 down, same stats
ogre, 2 min up 30 sec refresh, 30% p/mdef, no run speed/evasion penalty
hawk, 2 min up 30 sec refresh, same stats (+100 crit, ++crit dmg)
rabbit, 2 min up 30 sec refresh, +30% attack speed, +same run speed, +12 evasion, no
pattack penalty
that being cleared up, most tyrants i know will have 2 fists, one set with focus for exp and another with health for PVP.
armor is drac light (s grade)
and in A grade it doesnt matter what armor u use. Tallum heavy i think will be your best exp set up. (personally i like DC light but it is not the best for dps)
hawk, 2 min up 30 sec refresh, same stats (+100 crit, ++crit dmg)
If this is true, then Hawk is the best way and there is no different build. Hawk is like bison, but you dont need to be at 30% hp which is awesome. And with your atk spd buffs you'll see a hugh increase in ur crit rate.
Currently im 76 i got Drac set w Demons Splinters, which im leaning towards Focus on them, since Focus w Hawk is gg. Tats are +3 Str, +4Dex, -7Con.
As someone said, NM light is only VR 1 really, so idk if its worth it compared to the DC you can get. Maybe try and test which 1 you like before you decided.
If you want to ask me any other question, just pm me, or msg me in game my name is Devoe im on Phoniex.
Yup yup i was thinking Hawk would be the way PvsE.
PvsP Using Orge with health SA on the weapons would kinda make you a meat shield but i doubt you could kill anything since you would not Crit...probably at all...lol. Not sure how much P Attack you would get. might be a good targeter for mages if you could get close enough :P might be OK once they get you to 30% for maybe a few seconds
I believe that Tallum Heavy has more P Def than light armour even though you get skill for light.
I did try to compare a focus build to a dagger and just no comparison. I know of one Tyrant that uses Focus Bloods and he is happy with the choice. He is 75+ i believe and also uses a same level WC i believe ...doesn't have CoV yet.
Well, the nerf doesnt sound bad at all. I mean i love bison but with exping im always aoeing anyhow with a tank. So it sounds like it would benifit toward xping and pvp either way. Good discussion guys and thanks for the update.

The 'nerf' is more like a shift of power. I must agree PvE GK is significantly nerfed (lower crit rate + no more +30% patk from bison under 60% HP), but PvP wise GK gets boosted and by ALOT. So let's not call it a nerf but rather changes of Gracia final can we?
And can you tell me exacly HOW do you AoE with a GK? Skills? Not very efficient way. Pole? Well only bison works with pole (cos of the 'final' skills mechanics) so no more of that in Gracia Final i think.

Well the only way ive xp'd was by aoe (area of effect). So really using the totems turned into to fast of killing time and mobs didnt repawn fast enough but fun. Basically all I do is use rabbit go into rooms pull the mobs get into the corner and use ogre. Thats before i had bison. When i had bison i would use rabbit get mobs then use bison and tear sh*t up. But its a bad habit to live off 30% hp but very addicting lol. As for a pole, i always used a pole i can add stun too. Helps take less amount of damage while aoeing. Never got into the habit of using heavy armor like some. Now sometimes pulling the mobs i would use rabbit then puma for faster hits but over all. I think using ogre and bison are the best for when you get into the corner. I never had any issues with it. And now that i dont tank while with my friend i just use bison with the pole. I dont think much will change for me when the new update comes out. We use pof now when we aoe so whatever gets throw in front of use gets killed fast.
Tulp: i suggested to hunt with rabbit but not until the new update. when it comes, rabbit boosts you a different way than it does now. right now, Puma gives you +20% atk speed, but in the new update Rabbit will give +30% atk speed AND 12 Evasion.
as to the AOE suggestion is it not true that Patk boosts your damage done by your AOE skills? i have always wondered about this.
I would not use NM light, imo the light skill mastery might as well be non-existent during a grade... i use maj hvy when im tanking heavy stuff (catas/pagans, etc etc) and tallum hvy when im soloin or in open areas.
I would suggest +4 STR +4 CON, -8 DEX tats. The rabbit totem will be good enough to get you places when you need to run, and the +STR/CON helps a lot from getting stunned from mobs and archers in pvp.
As far as cookie cutter builds... I dont know if that exists for tyrants, people do all sorts of stuff with them short of putting them in robes and giving them mage weapons.
