This is not a suggestion so please don't move it there. It is a question when one of the most obvious changes will be implemented (and no, this is not about the bots).
The question is when the cap from 2 billions (2,000,000,000) adena will be increased. With every major update the ingame prices jump seriously (at the first Gracia update they jumped 200 - 300 %, but the cap remains the same. There are already tons of items which are sold for much more then just 2 billions of adena and keepeing the cap is just casing unconvinience and fraud and don't help in any way; it only forces the players to use senseless workarounds.
The items which are sold at higher then 2kkk prices (probably there are more):
Boss Jewels
S80 gear
OE gear
Clan Halls
Alyra is banned cos it was the easiest way to prevent her logging in maybe? I know she should be under the Retired title but maybe they haven't got around to doing that.
Very true...I would like that NCSoft could re-work the market system. I mean after A grade prices are really crazy and ridiculous. Which legit player can afford to buy with adena S grade?! Or even craft it! Over 200kk+ per piece armor S grade...

Legit players do it very well by entering the market and thus dealing with non-legit people without knowing, knowing it, or just through the money and mats introduced by bots.
You just don't snap your fingers to get S-Grade.

If you are a mage it's less than that per piece except main... Very few mages choose to go with that though since it's bad. If you wear light armor you could just stick with majestic (or is it tallum?) for a long time. Heavy users do kinda need it though.

I am absolutely legit player and I play for 1 year and 3 months. I have 5kkk in cash and about 3kkk in gear.
I craft and trade a lot and once you char goes 78 it has access to Hellbound. A smartly made party with 5 members only can easily make 50+kk per member for 2-3 hours play. Or the same party can go at RB rampage killing 10+ RB for couple of hours. This will give 20-30kk per member too (at least if not completely out of luck).
Or fortress farming - a small party of 2-3 players can easily farm several hundred KE.
But under "smart" party I mean exactly smart party. Recently I was for a short time in one of the biggest clans on the server (#4 or #5 at the server) and they didn't suceed to kill a RB with 3 full parties. The same RB we kill with the above mentioned "smart" party for 10 minutes.

Well yes you are right. But for that, a player need to play every day for some years and dedicate a lot to this game until you can touch sime s grade :P
I know, the higher you get, the faster you are able to earn adena and mats which sell very well on the market.
But for that, a player need to play every day for some years and dedicate a lot to this game until you can touch sime s grade :P
Actually with the last changes from Gracia going to S grade is not that hard.
Sadly being A grade is nothing already. You can go from 1 to A grade for about 20 days without excessive play. When I started 1 year and 3 months ago it was PITA going even to lvl 40 and being A grade was like a dream. I remember the boss of our 1st clan was SE lvl 64 and thanks to his buffs we killed lots of low lvl RBs. When I got to A grade it was a time for joy and pride. Now it is getting to lvl 80 the same like before getting to A grade:o
BTW - farming KE is exactly for A grade, not for S grade. But there are tips and tricks which must be known too.

A point I've made repeatedly in other posts where trolls try to tell new players they can "hit 76+ and have gear in a month...."
No, no, no. Not legitimately they can't in that time frame.
It is NOT easy to earn a billion adena in this game (despite the fact that every player and his buff pet have billions of adena worth of gear!). It is even harder to do it quickly.
I don't care what precious thing you are selling that "everybody wants"--you can have a sellshop open for 7 days even if your price is right before selling for your 100m profit.
If you made 100m per week--you'd have 5,200,000,000 in a year. Making a hundred million per week in PROFIT for a YEAR!
Not commenting on the op--but had to echo this post. Let's get back to reality here--MOST of the players in this game have never earned/manufactured a legit 50 million worth of adena. So no more about how "easy it is". Legit is hard and most of all it's SLOW accumulation of wealth.
Let's have no more silliness about how someone levels 24 hour per day AND somehow miraculously on that same account earns 5 billion adena (with the extra time presumably) in 2 months.
*******.
The fastest way to make adena is: Having a clan which has a fort. And then farming there KE and selling it on the market ;) I am doing it and its the easiest way, earning 100m in 3-4 days. But anyways..its a long way to go if you want to buy S grade on the market which has over 200kk per piece. And craft them is kinda hard too. I dont say its impossible as a legit player..but a long way to go really.
If you made 100m per week--you'd have 5,200,000,000 in a year. Making a hundred million per week in PROFIT for a YEAR!
*******.
Actually you can earn 100kk per week just with a lvl 10 dwarf (he can carry double weight at this lvl and has 4 selling slots).
Just buy crystals and ore in Giran (check the taxes - sometimes there is cheapen ore - for example at Teon in the dwarven village the ore is cheaper) and craft and sell shots. Don't go for D and C shots - the new players usually go for D shots. Start with B and A shots. You don't need much money to start this business. Craft the shots in Giran vs payment at the dwarven manifactures. Put a price for the shots equal (or near) to the lowest price and you will easily make 4-5kk profit per night sitting. After you make some money you can think of going for S shots. They need much more investment and give lesser percentage of profit but becasue of the much larger turnover your profit is greater.
And when going to A grade a group of 3 A group players can easily collect KE for 30-40 kk just for 1 hour. And you can repeat this many times per day. This is much more then just 100kk per week.
Just don't complain. This will not bring adena. Read the boards and ask questions. Look at the other players what they do and think are you able to make the same or you don't like it.

I'm not gonna claim you can do 76 and make a billion in a month, but come on, 100m per week is entirely possible without playing the market at all. As someone else said, two 6x dd's with a CoV buffer can farm forts and get 1000 KE in two hours or less. On Phoenix that's ~25m each if you sell them to afk buy shops in giran. Or you can farm IoP, that'll average you 5m/hr just in firestones if you sell them to buy shops. Pagans in a trio is closer to 3m/hr in EWS, level 5 Varka ally and soloing there on my summoner was good for 5m/hr in S armor recs.
These are all on top of adena and other regular drops that more than pay for shots/pots/spirit ore and any other expenses. Making money from nothing at higher levels just means farming for a while. 100m/week is entirely doable, even without mentioning HB where a good group might make 100m/day at chimeras.
Making money below 76 is hard. Making money after you start to reach endgame isn't. S grade may still take a couple months of farming to afford, even if you make 100m/week, but money making just changes completely when you start hunting in the endgame spots.

Where in the name of christ do you guys keep coming up with this crap?
The discussion has ALWAYS been about a new player--one freakin' account--doesn't know the game--isn't in any ****** clan with a castle or grouped in IoP.....certainly not in b-grade, a-grade, etc. (still makes me laugh picturing all these uber castle owning clans who can't wait to draft the newbie at level 12! lmao!)
Can SOMEONE do it? Of course. That is STILL not the point (or the question).
The question was/is: Can the typical new account player hit 76 in a month and have billions of adena worth of gear?
NO!
Quit coming up with all these outlandish scenarios open to a few select players in the biggest clans who have years of experience and know-how and 3 accounts.
It was clearly stated TO a new poster that he could get to 76 and have gear in a month.
My answer was and is "*******".
And as for economy--just lolz on that one. With all due respect, there aren't 500 players in this entire game on our servers who are going to be giving me econ lessons.
I'm researching what I think will be a steady 20-30m per week scheme right now--I'll let you all know if/how it works out. It will take me the better part of 10m to set up this market if I'm right.
The new guys? They should drop any thought of "getting to 76" (or any level) "in a month" (or two months, or three....). They should learn to play. They should learn the market, the economy, and the manor and they should at least attempt to not be another in an endless line of ebayers--THAT would actually be novel and impressive in my opinion!
Cause all by their little lonesome--they start leveling straight? They hit 20 in a couple hours--they hit 40 in a few more. They've got "maybe" 2-3m adena. That's not enough to get more than a top D-weapon and some shop armor/jewels in D-grade. They are lvl 40.
Where exactly does this first 100 million miraculously show up from 40-61? Not from HUNTING! Not from leveling. To make 100m in mats sales from the manor IF they got a material worth 1500 each, they'd need to sell nearly 67,000 mats! Any idea how LONG that takes? How many seeds you need to successfully spoil?
Jesus people, let's at the very least set reasonable expectations for the one or two new players who might TRY to be legit.

Again, hold on there a second. No one would dispute that a toon could make and sell shots for adena--particularly high shots.
But AGAIN, a dwarf crafting and selling shots on an account makes it IMPOSSIBLE to be playing the main on that same account and leveling that main 18 hours a day.
My point was how hard it is for a NEW player to do both.
It still is........
Just because you've got 10,000 BspsA doesn't mean they sell in half an hour. You can take a fair amount of time--which isn't up to you--to move anything and everything in this game. Sure you could be lucky and have help and create these 100's of thousands of shots--but perhaps you should actually sit and try to sell those for a month before posting about the billions you will earn in a few hours! (:))

Just read what I wrote. You use the dwarven manufactures in Giran. For less then an hour you can craft 100,000+ shots for unsignificant additional cost. Then leave it to sell them WHEN YOU DO NOT PLAY - when you sleep, when you go to school or to work.
But basicaly - yes, you must invest some time in managing your finances if you want top gear. Earning money by one or by other way is an important part of any RPG - either online ot just single player. This is among the basic principles of any game like this.
If you want only an action then play counter strike or some other game like this where you jump directly in the action from the very beginning. Because removing the money earning/management part of the game and letting everyone have the same top but easy attainable gear will make this game just counter-strike with swords:)
"I'm going for hunting site B, cover me."
"Roger."
"I'm taking bow fire!"
"I need back up!"
"Enemy is guarding the mobs."
"Mob has been rescued...err killed."
It is possible to make over 100 mil a week on a single account, but it does require a bit of research on your part. The A and S grade shot selling is perfectly one of the better examples of how to do such. Manoring is a bit more tricky since you have to contend with everyone for daily crop turn ins, on top of that you have to manor a considerable amount just to get enough mats to buy said thing. But learning how to earn the money is actually one of the more enjoyable parts of the game and keeping up with what's selling and what's within your reach makes the process even more fun.
The game itself has very little to offer as mindless grinding is one of the primary activities in the game. PvP unfortunately doesn't really begin until end game and that gets farther and farther back as the core playerbase who participates in it gets higher and higher in level. There's been a few attempts to bring lower level pvp into the game such as the Underground Olympiad, but it requires at least two 7+ parties to even get started and most of the playerbase isn't even aware of its existence, or Fantasy Isle's for that matter. So that leaves the market as one of the major interesting things that you can participate in at all levels. You'll not be able to avoid it at some point, common equipment can only get you so far, much like trying to stay out of server politics, you'll have to learn to use it or quit the game.
And just to let you know, it's alright not to like the game and leave it, there's lots of others out there even though the L2 core playerbase would have you believe L2 is the be all end all of gaming.
One of the problem is NCSoft destroyed the economics up to the middle B level (and SB included). This forced the players which were earning not bad adena with C items and spellbooks to look somewhere else. So many of them started to craft shots because this is easy and without any risk. So the market of shots is kinda oversaturated now. The indication of this is how many ppl are buying S crystals in Giran. Before the last changes there were (usually) not more then 2-3 buying shops. Now they are 10-15. The same is with AA shops. Many of those players are now buyng AA and then just reselling BREZ, BSOE and gems from Mammon.
PS. The official reason of NCSoft for destroyng the economics was to help the new players. But actually the really new players are very few and most of them have friends which help them. Who benefit most of the of this are the botters. Before banning a party of bots cased at least some expensive gear loss. Now they registrate new accounts and restock the lost gear for nothing. So this makes the botters happy and NSoft is happy too because the banned bots are registering new accounts ASAP.
lolspellbooks... go to dino island and sell spellbooks if you want to make money from spellbooks. We're speaking about S-Grade, not C or B.
If you don't know how the economy works at lvl 76, you've been afk in cata for too long.
Nobody said it's easy for legit players to gear up in S-Grade. That's what makes it interresting. It doesn't fall from the sky. Also, clan based game doesn't mean clans give you free gear or that it's just to have people to chat with while you grind solo. A serious clan (and you strongly implicated in the clan) will help you to access to money making parts of the game.
But saying "omg legit players can't afford S-Grade!!!!" is totally wrong. Since gear doesn't drop, it is possible.
1000KE from farming fortress for two hours? Do you farm the bosses with only 2 people, or what?
A couple of months ago when I did a fort for an hour with a friend, and only killed guards, we got maybe 150 KE to split between us. We killed tons and tons of guards but they only dropped 0-3 KE each.
As for the shot selling idea, what server do you play on? On Sayha sitting in giran 12 hours a day selling B,A and S shots, I'd be lucky making a 20m profit in a week. There just isn't enough people buying.
Manor, ok maybe possible if you're willing to seed mobs 10 hours a day and keep all the crops to yourself. Great fun.

What level were you? Cause unless your find yourself in the low 6x range, your not getting many KE at all.
It is worth to be said there are soem extremely usefull quest for materials too. They are not many, but nevertheless they do exist. For example the quest in the Frozen (the second one - and you have to make the first quest to be able to get the materials in the second, if not you get only sh*tty adena).
So with this quest a party of 2 can easily gather 500+ CBP per sevaral hours casual grinding. Providing you find a free the bots spot of course.
The reason prices have gone mad and pushing the boundaries of the variable limits is not due to problems of the game but ridiculous inflation in game. Try and sell an item to a shop that a player offers for 1 bill adena and you'll see the true price of an item.
I love the market and its a great part of the game for me but the inflation is crazy.
NCSoft need to tweek drop rates of items and maybe even add some other items to the shops to remove some of this madness.
Because everyone is pushing for A and S, these items or their mats are the ones in need of adjustment.
It won't take a lot but something needs to be done.
I know... but farming 150(200?) splendors to get that little amount of mats is stupid.
Quests like that are more of a bonus to your XP than a quest to do for a reason. Most mages are there for 5+ levels so getting a few extra mats for nothing is always worth it.
Same with the SP quests at Gludio; it's not worth doing that quest simply for the additional SP, but it's a great place to hunt so it's considered a bonus.

Actually my necro got 14 lvls in VOS:-) Even when they become purple they are worth the XP because the mobs die from 1 hit mostly and are plentifull - almost no need to run at all.
As for the inflation - most of the time is not due to NCSoft playing with drop tables. Right now the price of SOP is going through the roof in Teon without any change of SOP drops and spoils. But sometimes it is due to the new owners of the castles playing with the manor. What happens is the new owner of the castle changing the reward from 2 to 1 or vice versa and the mats go crazy.
Yea, most of the things in this game is based on luck. For example, hunting in silenos for varka manes (ofc after compleating a long and hard varka alliance level 5 quest). You exchange the manes for horns and buy a cabinet. If you are lucky you get a S-grade armor recipe, else you get a small amout of adena. If you are lucky and get the recipe you can craft, again ofc based on luck. In the end you might stand empty handed.
A post there was about "doing research". That's right. To make money from the market you must know what you can craft, what and for how much you can buy the mast and how you are planning to sell it.
But some people just don't have a clue. They either put ridiculous prices and stay for months hoping a lamer will buy it (but the lamers usually don't have the money), or are blindly trying to copy what the others are doing.
I remember once I bought very a large quality extremely cheap crystals. I wanted to get the profit ASAP so I crafted 600,000 shots in Giran for 2 hours and sold them for 10 minutes in MDT practically at the price of the "normal" crystals (as if I just sold the crystals at normal price). Most of the shots were bought by dwarves at quantities of 50,000 - 100,000. Then suddenly a dwarf came and opened a sell shop right behind me putting on his measly 20,000 shots the same extra cheap price. Why the hell he did this is beyond any comprehension.
Or just today I needed for my craft large quantity of certain material. I bought all material from the sellers with reasonable prices and opened a shop for the last 4000 pcs at a market "sell" price (the price at which the normal sellers usually sell this material). And just 5 minutes later another dwarf came and opened a shop for 4000 pcs of the same material and a price with 100a more then mine. Why the hell he decided to beat me giving actually slightly higher price then tomorrow sellers will sell this material is something I bet no one knows:(
