Swordsinger lvl 62...what now?

Elf Classes Started Last reply 10 posts
Hya!after 4 years struggling against mobs, time, perseverance and patience, i got it!Now, im in search for A gear! Already got Tallum armor common, but still got my wonderfull B weapon! As the way to reach here was very hard, and most of the time, doing solo, never planned to reach this point, so never planned A gear too!

My question to you all is: what gear you recommend for me? Dual sword for fast exp, or get a sword and shield for live a bit longer to help my clannies live with my songs?Majestic armor, Nightmare or Tallum? I think Maj is better cause Stun and Elfs dont get a long quite well, and it gots that 4% p.attack... Thinking in getting the dyes of +4 Strenght/-4 Con...
As this is a new chalenge for me, i look for advice, and to get my mind focus on what materials i should gather to craft...

So, can you help me?:D
Enjoy your last level of Newbie Buffs.
Majestic Heavy & Jewels
BO with Focus for PvP and PvE
Tallum Blade /w Haste
+4 Str/-4 Con
if you have vr bufs attack speed is a factor worth noting and tallum hvy & tallum haste blade would work best, a dama w/focus is still ok to use as well if SS/adena is an issue

if hunting in area's with stun mobs and/or pvp on regular basis get maj hvy

common maj jewels are good enough for a long while

swords with either focus/haste & shield or a high oe dagger w/ focus are best imo and a 2 handed sword is a decent alternative (saves money on SS while still doing ok damage)..

do not use duals for xp on a sws if you don't have to plz..
Hello,

My recommendations are....

* +4 STR +4 DEX/-8 CON dyes.

If you find yourself soloing most of the time, I would suggest you go with the +4 STR +4 DEX/-8 CON tattoos. This can increase your DPS by about 20%, helping you level up faster. Admittedly, you will have fewer hit points and are more susceptible to stun, but to be honest, I never found it to be that much of a problem.

* Tallum Heavy armor.

If you can afford it, go for Tallum Heavy armor. It increases your DPS by about another 15%. In combination with the aforementioned tattoos, you notice a substantial improvement to your killing speed, and hence your levelling speed. Stun and lower HP is still a concern, but so far, I have not really been at any risk of dying from the PVE mobs I have been fighting. In fact, because I am killing faster, I mobs have less time to damage me or attempt stuns on me.

* Use a 2-handed sword.

As a SWS, you get (and continue to get) Sword/Blunt Masteries. Sword/Blunt Masteries do not work with Dual Swords though.

Also, 2-handed swords are cheaper to use, in regards to Soul Shot, than 1 handed swords. And swords in general are better for critical attack rate than blunts are.

I highly recommend you go with a Dragon Slayer w/ Health SA. The +25% HP from the Health SA helps offset your lost HP from the -CON due to that tattoos and Tallum Heavy set bonus.

* Majestic Robes.

If you are more team oriented, working as a song buffer rather than a real damage dealer... I kind of liked Majestic Robes. It gives you more MP regen, which can help you squeeze out that extra song. (In my case, I can maintain 3 songs in Tallum Heavy without a MP deficit, but 4 songs drains me. In Majestic Robes, I am able to maintain 4 songs).

You will still be swinging your Dragon Slayer w/ Heath, but you will be relying on your team tank/meleer to keep the mob from pounding on your soft, squishy, robed, elven body. In exchange, you make your team stronger.

NOTE: I only recommend this if you are on a large team, where that 4th song of yours is benefiting many people (enough to make up for the fact that you are no longer in Tallum Heavy). On a small team of like 4 people or less, you are probably better of staying in Tallum Heavy and doing 3 songs. But in a full 9 person party, the net benefit of 4 songs versus 3 is better realized.

My 2 bits.
Good job getting to A-grade man. If you want to solo, then you should try to get some good equipment. If you always have a party, it doesn't really matter.

Anyways, my suggestion would be tallum heavy with infernal master focus. Like I said though, being a sws you can get by with a lot less if you choose to party.

My best piece of advice would be to make friends with as many archers as possible. You and 2/3 other archers can pretty much dominate anything.
I won't create a long reply since so many ppls are, but still I will tell u my opinion. You are swordsinger!! dont forget that! you are support character no matter what cut the crap with solo exping and if ur isnt find clan with many characters in ur lvl range wich u can party with. From 63+ when there are no other newbie buffs soloing becomes diffucult even for dd with boxed buffer, so play ur class dude, join parties sing and enjoy the imba exp :)

Tallum Heavy Set
Inferno Master w/ Focus (more dps than dragon slayer)
Majestic Jewel Set (common works fine for budget)
+4 Str / -4 Con
Thks for your suport guys...You help me a lot! Cya soon in the neighborhood...
For PvP Shyeed's Bow w/ Focus and Maj Heavy if you got the cash =p

SwS w/ bow work really well for group base pvp cause sws can't hold toe to toe with any other melee classes besides BD. plus if you fight a caster you can get out of his range fast enough to CP pot up. well, unless you get vortex slugged or something hahaha
