It's not hard ot know 'bot's in the game lol. You don't know how many clans I've had to leave in the past just because I've never liked botting, and when you can't join into parties because you don't use walker, it kinda' sucks. ;) I'm still cool with most of those people though, I don't blame them for the game they are in. I won't cry a tear for them either :P

LOL you rely believe that statement? So a dude with 101 acc loses 6 of them, low lvl and decides he will stop the other 95? Ok he might stop to avoid more bans in the near future but i bet my earthly possessions he will be back in lest then a week:mad: with the other 95 and at first adena sale he might choce to buy 6 more and remake his lost crew.
BTW i don't believe a farmer boss with over 100 accounts would cry about 6 acc ban so this dude statement is fake 100%

And yeah.. I have known bots from Devianne on my MSN... some in my clan, some in other clans... tired of making fun of them, though... some of them were even reported.. but no bans so far.
There is, or was, a person who ran similar numbers of bots on Seighardt. I heard, via PMs, that he was a person who got injured and disabled in the military. I can sympathize with such a person's situation. But even I had to report when he *completely* took over CoA. When the live players can't play the game because all the player areas are taken over by bots, something has to give.
It looks like NCSoft is now really taking care of bots and adena buyers. Maybe they dont can ban all, but they are on a good way and doing a good job! I like that :P
Yes, but I believe fear goes around botter. Account creation, run character to high level when they start give profit take time. And banning bots even on middle levels is very good step.
Actually I was suprised: per 3 days at Apostate cc I have seen only two real bot groups, others were live players.
At Teon I heard that some known clans leaders prohibited to use bot/snifer programs for clan members.

after 3 years the bots in cata or necros arent that problem anymore i have learned to live with them
the "bots" u need to fight on siege weekends that brag about their ebayed gear and hb farmgroups making fun of u for being low lvl are the ones that annoy the community
once i asked a gm whats the reason in staying legit anymore and he answered we ban hundred accounts a week
pff they know a farmer will replace his lost accounts in days cause his turnover goes down a hero banned with daddys maxed out cc and 82/80/80 will emo quit and shout how unfair nc soft is QQ

btw raising the adena limit to 99b *rolleyes* imho only 20% would be able to have this wast amount of money gathered without bots ingame so another step in the "right" direction

Me a little bit out from high areas because now working on sub. But when I compare current situation with situation when main was same level. Now bots at least 2x-5x times less. At least on 45lvl - 55lvl places (maybe me just lucky). There are some, you can even can find bot parties from 5-7 bots in it, but now it is not so common as it was before.

Yes. although not for botting.
the Bartz January Storm Screamer Hero was unclaimed because a certain person got banned. I can only speculate, but he had a pvp video up that very very clearly showed him using some sort of zoomhack. It would make sense if that's what he's been banned for.
ofcourse. there is now a 80+ stormscreamer (hero) from the same clan as the banned one. Wonder how much money exchanged hands for that plus jewels/+6 MA set.
It's not hard these days to know some botters. They are everywhere. A clan I tried to join recently, the leader told me that they pretty much expected that I would bot myself up to 80+. I quickly decided not to join. Also found out later the leader has large bot trains in catas to get S80 and make real $$.

101 canceled accounts = $1,599 less income per month for NCsoft...
if you want lineage2 to become better and have more active GM's NC has to make money. So in my opinion make places that NC can let bots hide that are not of value to a regular live player so they are out of the way and most ppl are not bothered by them so that NC can make more money per month which in turn will allow them to take better care of the regular live players and allow for more advertising.

Kick GMs that have less proactivity.. and you'll see the rest spring back to life. And IMHO.. ban all bots. They should be playing WoW if they think this game is too hard.
