I just came back to the game yesterday for after a year. I went 1-27 in like 4 hours, and Im a DE assassin at the moment.. Now Im just wondering which class is better in pvp, and levels faster now days in l2. thanks Play style doesnt matter to me Ive played both dagger, and archer b4,. but just wondering whats better now days.
I just came back last month, and i went aw instead of pr, and I think it was a mistake.. aw is just fine, but it gets a bit boring and less challenging to solo, and in any duels i've been in, i did better just kiting with a bow than getting up close anyway.
If i could go back and do it again, i'd probably be pr.. but either way, when I can sub I plan on being pr as first sub anyway so...
In my opinion PRs are pretty fun to play. Its not just shooting arrows, you need to be carefull what you attack since its not wise to agro too many mobs, know when to cast certain spells (ok mostly hex... :p) Well, you either like it or not I guess.
In pvp... well... I cant tell you what class is better. As I've seen PR being awesome in PvP, aswell as AW. I think the better option for pvp depends on the person playing it. Some people are just awesome playing a dagger class, while others are best in being archer.
If these classes were to compete in a fair fight, then the outcome will be descided by the players. (as it allways is)
So in my opinion asking other people what DD class would be better for you to pvp with isn't going to help you much, I can't tell you if you'd make a good dagger or archer, its really something you must find out for yourself. And with enough time, you'll learn to pvp with the class you play, and at that moment, it doesnt matter what class you've chosen.
dagger is fine, dagger + ranged were always my favourite class..
but to start out with i think i would have preferred to be pr instead of aw. I lvl better with my bow as an aw almost than I do with my dagger as it is now
I like both classes but I started with AW (lv 55 atm) and I'll sub a PR.
IMO daggers are more fun to play than archers. As Smittie said, shooting arrows into mobs gets very boring after a while (and yeah, I've played both classes at 70+ in other places :p). For mass PVP I would say archers are more useful than daggers, sadly.
