I mean why would that be a bannable offence? Is it an exploit? Was some game function bypassed to do this? I mean this is a PvP game right? How many people go to give Antharas a slap down? 75? 100? I think that is enough to destroy a single heal griefer.
I will look into it, but if someone was banned for doing that I would be very surprised.
It was basically some TJ and UR cardinals and EE's that were able to get in before Anthy spawned with salvation up...and then they laid there dead until salvation was ready again and Anthy's HP was about half...at which point they all got up, salvationed again, celestial shielded and ran to anthy to either use blessing of eva or restore life...got him back to full HP before they were killed again.

Oh ha ha, always forget about those tricks with salvation. Seriously I could have sworn it was a problem at one point, because I remember lamenting about not being able to use restore life to 'grief' ages ago, like C4.

And im pretty sure if Spam goes back and checks what ncsoft has stated in the past, it falls under some certain part of their rules and that the "closed zone" is created for epic raid bosses for example to prevent such things happening
Like I said, if she was banned for some other reason you can laugh all you want and I wont defend it, but if healing a RB is bannable, I'd sure like to see it written somewhere because I have never heard of anybody getting banned for it. And from what I hear LP or BOSS or whoever did the same thing to another clan when they were on Bartz (these are the same people who are butthurt now), so maybe the GM's should go back and ban some of them too...
Either way and whatever happens you HAVE to admit that that is a pretty cool strategy...if I were in BOSS I'd at least give TJ some credit for stopping an entire raid with a few healers :)
Lomg time ago there was a glitch at antharas .... u could fly to where the cave was (on a wyvern) and heal Antharas ... and attack the ones inside ... from the outside ..

Well their only guessing this was the reason is what i heard from a TJ member today because emoelder character hadnt been afking exping since sunday at least lol so basicly they are blaming that, and that it wasnt the fact her character was owned by raina who got banned for afk botting and her character was logging in with that group for the last 6 months at ufo....

But yeah I agree with Drakonz and Spam..this is a PVP game and a hardcore one at that, not some wimpy crap like WoW...you are SUPPOSED to grief enemies, you are SUPPOSED to make life hard for them and keep them from doing just about anything if you can. If a clan can lock down Hellbound or kill all the epics, why shouldnt they be allowed to? if an ally can take and hold all the castles, why shouldnt they be allowed to?
I warder people a few times a day on a low level dagger. Mostly AFK botters but I'll kill some people I know are or have been in enemy clans. Am I being abusive? Can I get banned for that? I'm actually surprised how easy GM's goes on mass petitions(aka mass QQ). I think firstly they should invest, because more or less it's strange why XX number of petitions were send.

hi mr. spam, I have this issue. when i am at server selecting screen, and i click on the server i want and this pop up appear. "FIle are corrupted!!!! Please, full check.. [../SysTextures/BranchSys.utx]" so i closed the client and open up again at the main screen (auto live update). I run a full checking files but when it gotten 80% finished the bottom meter then a pop up "connection to the update server has been terminated" and now it keep showing that message. help?

Although you do know with TJ unofficially dead, that will basically leave Aria a 1 sided server with really nobody for BOSS to fight against (BW are pretty much nonfactors, UR is leaving I had heard..not sure about that though..Bregan still around I guess). If so Aria really will end up a carebear RP server.
btw, and more seriously, i heard about program used by some clan (on aria) who are making ennemy laggin/logoff (you'll say there's not need of special program for this xD) during siege and pvp...

Could you really do something like that? I've seen the videos and the forum posts here where some guy made himself invisible by sending lag packets to the server or whatever...I can see that but sending lag packets for some other player sounds pretty strange...I dont know much about that level of networking though so maybe it isnt as hard as it sounds. I certainly haven't experienced anything I could classify as strange...just the normal disconnects and lag you always get in sieges with lots of players or crossing certain zones.

some of my mate report it a few times, but it's hard to see the difference between "normal" crash, and "provocked" some. Btw, seems it's really possible to do when you saw what cheating soft are able to do.
This Spam activity is absolutely amazing. I'm skeptical, but if you keep this up (and mirror such activity in the game also), I can see sweeping change slowly happening in game.
It's nice reading "GM's are on a RAMPAGE these days" and, "... there is no escape. Rest of you wanna keep your chars, stop botting RIGHT NOW not even kidding..." and no one even challenge it, is absolutely fantastic. Keep up the good work ;)

Whatever the long goal of the banning is ...its still removing cheaters from the game, and as long as they do that ... i'm happy ... even if it leads to 1 bot-free L2-server in the end.
pretty sure for all of the botting you have done in the last 2-3 years you (emoelder) 're deserved to be banned anyway.

Not to mention all the money they get from all the server transfers that usualy occurs right after a small banning spree.
Some create new chars and others just buy a char on the server it's cheapest and transfer it to theyr server.

I heared that a intire clan from franz joined Teon. Also many heros shouts are about QQ banning. Catas got visited by gms very often. I think they are doing a good job. For sure they cant ban all or never will. Bots always will appear. Its normal...but the important thing is to control it and not let it get out of control.

They were botting 16+ hours a day, hero shouting with links to 300 divine stones in their inventory, they deserved it.

Yesterday I was speaking to a player that returned to L2 after C7.. and briefed him in. Chat eventually went in the direction of bots.. and I said that bots where getting sacked..and that he had a new button to press. He was so glad that he said that he was going to try and convince some people to get back... after all they had left because bots were too much. ^^

So, I like it here..sure not every bot will get banned..but progress is made..bots really get banned and i already saw it with my own eyes in the catas. Hero shouts QQ about bannings and so on. You dont realise, these people had been around since beta, botting since hmmm around c3, because ncsoft were not banning active players, they were only focusing on the blatent afk botters, and generally these people wernt afk botting and were restricting their actions to "active botting".
It is only recently these players got lazy and stupid and "didnt care" so much about the game and said "85 or bust".
They got dealt pocket aces but feel in a River of tears when DrSabre and Spam flushed them off the server :>

Before it was when calculate best spot for exp you had to keep in mind is this place favorit for bots or not. Now it is much easer to find bot less spots.
As some one said that there will be no time when no bots will be in server, I would dare to ask "what number of bots is acceptable on server?"
And one more suggestion :) .... IIRC to open new account is possible only through referal program? In case bot account is banned referee should be informed for this, and also warned that if his refered friends bot counts will reach number 5 .... his account also will be banned.

whether someone quits due to being banned is an individual choice. some people will actually quit the game, but many (most) people are so addicted to the game it doesn't matter how much they get banned, they will just buy or bot another toon to play. others will maybe not run a whole train anymore but one or two, others will borrow support toons from others to play so they can still hang with their friends in clan.
Banning doesn't always cause people to quit, in fact I would guess most people who get banned don't quit. Banning does, however, remove that particular char and it's gear (good for rest of server if it's rather overpowered from the 24/7 botting and ebaying). Like the current Arcana Lord hero of Aria, it farmed olympiad and no one could beat it, lvl 81+ with lvl 83 pet, had 400+ points, then banned before the end of the month and couldn't even click for hero status. And, in recent cases, banning also removes a lvl 10 clan and a +16 drac bow...

i think blizzard wants all the $ they can get and banning in wow is just lol... you can max out legit in a month and buying gold doesnt really change the gameplay much since wow pvp is a joke.

Yeah well, if you compare L2 with wow in terms of bots and cheaters...wow is in a much worse position than L2. I just cant understand why so many play it and why it is so much popular. "Do you play lineageII? line....what? haa you mean wow!" On TV they always say "the greatest mmorpg wow" or when they talk about mmorpgs they always mention wow and never l2...its a shame because that game doesnt has NOTHING to offer. Just good marketing blizzard...NCSOFT do more adverstising and you will see that L2 will overcome wow in seconds.
L2 is a niche game with very little PvE content. (raids and epic bosses ? mildly)
Just mindless grind for the most part.
Most people want also different content not just mindlessly killing the same mob over and over again for weeks/months (70-76 in fotd?)
PvP in L2 is epic, and can be insane-fun if you're into pvp, that I give you.
However wow pvp can be very fun too even thou of a different type.

He was talking about the ES that was banned...and somebody said Pwny...MyLittlePwny, who is still around. The ES that got hero last month was XxMasterxX and he was banned.
I love everyone's enthusiasm for forum discussion, but this post has gotten pretty derailed from the original topic. I think GM Spam's comments in the first page or 2 answered any relevant thread topic questions regarding healing Antharas.
