RR will surely try to retake the server, the frenchies will surely try to establish themselves as powerhouse and IS, PC and Figs have proven to be a strong alliance. First is rebuilding and Catalyst too, DW is still around so who knows? Also expect to see All4one, KK, EoF, Lider play some role.
as purp said.... Paragydm has been recruiting and making offers to clans to become an alliance... RR did not want this alliance... so I think as well RR will be on top but Paragydm is not going to give up easy there will be a big war... though Para has been small we dont all know who is allied with them and who has joined in the last couple weeks...
Just to let you know... who ever is on top will be in controll of Hellbound and that is how the cookie crumbles...(sorry just watch Bruce Almighty recently again the other day)

S Crystals are available from Merchant of Mammon. Some enterprising dorf will make a tidy profit in non-Mammon weeks by buying and holding. Not sayin' who...
As far as S-Mats. I have lots in my wh and when the time is right I will be sitting on my cute little dorf butt and providing a service to my fellow gamer (at a fair profit).
I have praised Nova for organization in other threads here and really mean it. Though I can't honestly say I will miss them...
I personally don't want them to leave. Am I a fan girl, no, however I do talk to a few of them and have found that they are nice in their own ways. I think there will be a change. Whether it's in mat prices or crystals or who has what castle. I will personally miss the seiges where I knew that if I heard in vent "nova Incoming" I would be kissing the ground soon enough.
Whether good or bad in the next few weeks, I will be there with bells on and will truly miss the 5 minutes of excitement ( was dead before 5 minuntes ended) when Nova showed up to Castles.
I will miss nova myself. They are not like the Fob that I remember or even like the RR before Shogs. So as a dominating clan they were better than some of the ones we had in the past.
The market will have some good deals when they leave, but will balance soon afterwards.

1. people can now go to IT without being PKd as soon as they enter (by nova) so ppl can farm recs and craft themselves... people can go to catacombs and farm AA buy crys from mammon...
2. fewer elemental stones???? nova have had HB locked down for months, when they leave everyone can go and quest and farm stones...

I totally agree with Samaya. Sorry SweetKnight, all of your arguments are just wrong.
1.S crystals come from Mammon, so it is not a problem for anyone who wants to get some.
2. Elemental stones will be available to more people through hunting in HB, so fewer people will need to buy and more people will have things available for sale. If you mean that nova botted the hell out of HB and thus created a big stock of stones, then ok you are right, it will be hard for anyone else to step up, though some will surely try:)
3.Hmm about shots, I doubt nova used much shots in pve......

The only thing I see as a problem is that a high number of active players will leave. Those players moved the market in various ways, since they had a lot of adena, so I don't know how that is going to affect the market overall. But it is not much different than what would happen if say 30 other active players quit or transfered.

I really dont see a need to worry at all... sayha will be a much better and more fun server to be on once nova have left. Ive never seen a clan so greedy in all my life in L2, all they did was come to a server where they knew they could take over and make the game no fun for anyone outside of their clan!

I think SweetKnight is referring to S crystals at a price to make decent profit on crafting shots maybe. Sure I can blow my aa on s-crystals for what 25K aa per. On Sayha with a x5 multiplier making the opportunity cost of that crystal 125k adena. Or I can buy at a discount from blown up OE'd weapon attempts provided by a high level clan crafting lots of s80 and s gear. Not to mention the sheer volume that Nova can dump on the market.
I'm going to stay out of the clan discussions since that always gets too heated and people are defensive. Don't want to make comments that will get me pk'd down the road. :-D

Actually, regarding my #1, I view some of the S crystals coming from blown-up enchantment attempts. Since it looks like Nova has alot of OE'd weapons, I kind of imagine that they also had alot of blown-up weapons along the way, producing S crystals that end up on the market.
But I could be wrong on this regard. (I know my opinions might be wrong, and I am not afraid to admit it)

Urm... Nova never actually signed up to any of our sieges, but they still turned up. One member of Nova actually told me that when they arrived at one of our sieges they were quite surprised at the numbers we had. I counted over 150 defenders in CC vs their 2 or 3 groups of S and Heroes.

I totally agree. Quality of gameplay is what is important. Also, don't forget that with the next update (coming in the next few months) all castle raids are going to be on the same day, which will change the dynamics of the game as well. Sayha will be fine with or without Nova.

Erica history is part of Sayha history and so is Sieghard history. So what happened in the past gives us a clue about what will happen in the future.
I can telll you the former ally of Fignuts (Gaia alliance) gave a hard time to Fob at some point in Erica history, so the old members of Fignuts are quite experienced in pvp, some of them even are now or have been members of nova.
Only time will tell which clans will be able to play a big role on this server. The fact is that except RR no other clan has much experience in pvp. All have pvped at some point, but RR has pvped for most of their history and is the last clan of the big clans of both servers still existing in big numbers.

it might not be super top secret but just because you have gotten email about it on the past doesn't mean that that player is in that clan...

I never understood well the balance of power, nor in sieg, nor now in sayha! and for, i dont care! haven't got lvl to fight for a siege (but thats a objective, a strong one that all players have!) and for now, im just enjoying the most of playing a great game, in which i have found a couple of friends, and with them just wanna lvl and take the most of my toons, all of them, trying to seek which one will give me more pleasure, and of course, the one to fulfill my objective: be in a siege war and win it!
For the clan and allies that will fight for the command of sayha, that they dont forget this a game for pleasure, fun, friends, and yes, with some fight too, but a healthy fight in the right time!

I also noticed similar declines in Rune.
Rune is empty because Nova had a clan hall there and that is where they chilled waiting ...

I did notice somewhat less shops in giran (but still plenty) although I have also noticed alot of lag this past week and I would put it down to diconnects not just nova leaving.
Dont forget while nova have left alot of people resurfaced too.
But yes, everyone go elsewhere and we'll have all the castles n epics please ;) I'm happy whatever the populations is.

Goddard was an interesting Siege and lots of fun for everyone I think. Castle was in All4One hands 3 times, but we could not get it back in the last 20 minutes. Numbers were somewhat high from both sides (RR and friends around 40 people, including a few heroes, and on the other hand All4one and friends around 50 people).
Bad news for me is I had to fight against friends for the first time, since Lider was assisting RR and some Fignuts had joined RR as well. No hard feelings on my side :) I was dissappointed though that Lider did not get to take the Castle in the end.
Well I had fun at Giran in any case :D Was fab to be on the field with the rush. Regardless what most may say or think, we had lots of fun, good pvp and no trashtalks :D

I watched both goddard and giran and great pvp fun on both seiges. All4One was very impressed they never backed down and kept going nice giong guys. But then again they always seemed to hold it together... Giran was full of pvp too and good fun.. I watched but they were all having fun and kept going back for more nice job DeathWish and Wolveneye. RR and SG did good holding it down but would that surprize us with their numbers and levels.
I finally got a siege golem up at Goddard, only to learn why we don't ever see them in other sieges. Expensive and pretty useless. Cool to get it up and see it start to work on that wall, until All4One took me down.
Galendal, I guess I was right about your wishing for that hole in the wall after all. I bet it would have been quite interesting (and beneficial) in that last 30 minutes. Too bad. Good luck in 2 weeks, you wont have to "worry" about me showing up again.

as far as i remember IS tried to help RR against nova and as soon as nova put some pressure on they ran as fast as they could with their tail between there legs and staye out of novas way.
Peacecore are just now deciding they wanna be part of a zerg army so wen nova leave they stand a chance when they decide they want pvp.

my point in posting on this thread is just to say, dont worry about the server after nova leaving... it will be a better place for all.. prices of things may go up and down to begin with but once the dust has settled the calm will come again... no matter who the 'powerhouse' is it wont be half as bad as nova... ppl can actually fight for epic bosses and stand a chance IF they pull their **** together and learn how to do things properly!

Well I had fun at Giran in any case :D Was fab to be on the field with the rush. Regardless what most may say or think, we had lots of fun, good pvp and no trashtalks :D

I agree with this. Last weekend was the most fun I have had a siege in a long time. There seems to be a lot more commroderie (sp) with the people that are here. Maybe its just us sentimental old timers?

I finally got a siege golem up at Goddard, only to learn why we don't ever see them in other sieges. Expensive and pretty useless. Cool to get it up and see it start to work on that wall, until All4One took me down.
Galendal, I guess I was right about your wishing for that hole in the wall after all. I bet it would have been quite interesting (and beneficial) in that last 30 minutes. Too bad. Good luck in 2 weeks, you wont have to "worry" about me showing up again.

Different tag still looks/feels strange after the first evening...
I went PeaceCore. They/we have a view of the game that is directly in line with my own, i.e. it is a cooperative game where you help put your friends and have friendly rivalries with other allies/clans.

Note that this thread shows this philosophy, the sieges were fun and lively across all castles, yet everyone can come here and say how much fun they had without anyone really getting bent out of shape.
Could it be that this was the least drama filled siege weekend evah? Drama was there, but limited to who won the castles, how many times the castles changed hands and how close the contests were across the board. Not the drama of who could perform ******** on Nova best in order to be granted a castle.
Did anyone miss Nova and their junior high school mentality (not the mention *****es)? Did we need the Nova zerg to ally-wipe everyone out to have "fun" (not that I ever thought that was fun).
Is it possible that the server is immeasurably better (more fun) that anyone could have imagined without Nova and with good matured rivalry?
Did anyone else have the thought: "Wow, this is why I play L2. I forgot how much fun it could be!"?

I watched both goddard and giran and great pvp fun on both seiges. All4One was very impressed they never backed down and kept going nice giong guys. But then again they always seemed to hold it together... Giran was full of pvp too and good fun.. I watched but they were all having fun and kept going back for more nice job DeathWish and Wolveneye. RR and SG did good holding it down but would that surprize us with their numbers and levels.

We will see what brings our way to sayha today ... If anything like hero chat think ill turn it off... This last weekend was some nice seiges though with out nova in them too, so it can be done with out them.
Heard they turning phoenix to a sayha server... as some call it, but then sg is on way back here so nova maybe in 6 months be coming back.
What is it between them two that they keep chasing and running or vise versa?

firstly good luck with your new clan. Although I don't know them well (apart from a few friends), I liked the way they rose slowly and have come to be a big clan.
Now for the server politics analysis, I would disagree with you. Yes this weekend was fun for everyone. Yes it is the first time in a long long time that this server is not monopolized by 1-2 dominant clans.
But realisticaly that is the way we are heading again. RR took control of most castles with alt clans or by assisting/giving them to allied/friend clans. Sure we will fight for another weekend. But after that I expect to see a dominant clan or two taking all the castles and keeping them except for 1-2 that they will give to their friends. Now that will not be interesting.
At least Nova let us fight over most castles, keeping the significant ones for themselves and making the game interesting for everyone else.
Ofcourse I hope I will be proven wrong, for the sake of rivalry and exciting sieges:)

All I remember is Nova siege-wiping every castle and crowing about it.
Sometimes they would go away, leaving the castle defenses gone and ripe for "someone" to come in and take a castle they could not take themselves. Other times they actively escorted the preferred clan leader to the scribing stone.
If you had a castle, it was because Nova didn't have a client that wanted it.
I hope you are proven wrong as well.
It remains to be seen if RR will go back to Nova-jr mode like when FOB left for Bartz or if the influx of new RR members (I'm looking at all you ex-figs over there) will change their behavior to something a little more constructive.
I don't really hold out much hope for that, but then again maybe it will finally sink in that locking down the server, even if you can, and holding down the other players/clans isn't going to lead to "fun" or "competitive pvp".
Seems like such a simple concept, but maybe I am old and wise enough to have better insights. umm... but young enough to still be "HAWT" (as DarkRich would say)

But, I certainly agree, good riddance to bad rubbish. A classic case of addition by subtraction.
By that you mean Fignuts, PC, IS, EoF, DW, Outika, All4one and other clans held castles just because they were nova clients? I don't think so. At least All4one and all the clans we helped (PC, IS etc) surely were not Nova clients and we fought a lot to keep those castles in friendly hands.
Yes I agree with Leyanire and mgz, it does get old to keep hearing that rumors still going with that subject. It does not take brains to see that they killed us just like anyone else and sometimes we were the first they killed. If anyone noticed it seems that nova came in knocked down our castle doors almost if not everytime they attacked to open it up for others, unlike some they did not knock doors down, that to me does say they were not helping us if anything weakened our defense.
Mae, i too got killed the 1st 2 times by friendlies aswell, because not everyone knew who was with who, but forgot about it for the rest of the siege ;)
Nova did not play favorites. You had to know which way the storm was blowing at any given time to know whether you could safely run past them or not. Your Nova storm doppler radar must have been on the fritz on siege days. :-P

Nova, as is the case with all large dominant clans, did what they wanted to do when they wanted to do it. It takes intelligence to play politics. Something that I would say at least 3/4 of the political players seem to lack. lol
