Events in game can be Fun, Annoying, Lame, Boring, Exciting, and a Great Way to meet new people. Throughout the years there have been many types of events. And yall obviously know where I'm going to take this... right? Welp he we go... what was your favorite in-game Event during your experience in L2? You can list as many as you like or not list at all and say mean stuff x.X your choice. But lets keep it Non-Counter-Productive ^_^
Well i think one of the best was the one that u could get an AQ, although can't remember which event was it and despite the fact that i dont know anyone that got an AQ from that event, at least the top prize was a decent item that it worth the try :p
Overall the one with the pumpkins had kinda good (and many) items u could earn from a pumpkin, so yeah i think that was one of the best events...;)
I like the pumpkin / squash events, except they need to give better rewards. Bunches of D enchant scrolls, plus a few C grade, doesn't really cut it. I also kinda liked the one event where mobs appeared randomly, except there was a lot of lag with that one.
The event(s) I like the most are the ones when the bots stop working for the day.And I was able to exchange the crops and buy seeds...another thing I liked about those events was the availability of all hunting areas and the feeling that I'm not being screwed for my money by NCSOFT.
Oh yeah and the event with the pumpkins when they were keep resurrecting and killing the pumpkins, over and over and over again. God job NC :|
Leaving aside the bitterness the one with the pink pigs was the best, the rewards were crappy but it was so much fun shooting at those beacon providers. The big one with the fear cast was hilarious...a destro running away from a giant pig, you don't see that every day. :)

The first pumpkin event when enchant scrolls and A crystal were worth the effort.
The bunnie event that gave the treasure sacks. Best rewards ever from an event.
The last xmas event was the best xmas event. Thank god for no more xmas echo crystals.
The reason why I put first for most of those events is because all of them that have been repeated have been nurfed so bad they are barley worth the effort. All the events listed were good enough to make me loose sleep during the week and lock myself in the den during the weekend.
After the last xmas event I regained a little hope for l2 events. Of course that didn't last long the dashed those hopes with the last 2 events.
What was the event with spawning odd collections of mobs en mass each with their own drops, and random raid bosses about that masses of people raced to to kill?
Bunny event. The one we had to go FI and chase chests as a bunny, that was SO FUN. I loved it. OMG Raid Boss event on C4. It was so neat, and it was my first event ever. The Valentine's letter event wasn't bad either.
I hate ALL of the Zaken's Curse events. Killing those pigs was very, very annoying. I don't like events where you're forced to stop hunting to take part on it. Bunny event was fun because you could stop for an hour a day to be a bunny and chase chests with your friends, then go back to hunting and still get event items. You had a choice there, which was good. Not like last Zaken's curse where you had a chance (TM) of getting an item from mobs. Like the +10 real A yes? Yeah...
Santa Event was very fun. I found myself excited to go to Dorf Village and try to save Santa. It could have been better if everyone got a gift, and not random like it was, but it was very fun.
Gatekeeper Event was WONDERFUL for me and I wish they would bring something like that back. But I'm a nuker, so it was everyday's job for me. I can understand how people that hate nuking were not happy with that event. They could have given a choice on whether you wanted to be a nuker or a melee. Give a melee transform as well, so those that hate nuking could take part on it.
Valentine's Event was a joke. I won't even start commenting about it.
Let's hope they'll bring something as fun as the bunny event this Easter. Or like Santa's. Or gee even spawning Valakas or Baium in the middle of Giran and letting everyone kill them! How fun would THAT be? :D
Actually it was pretty fun killing the pigs for me and looking around for one of the big ones, but it was getting tedious in the long run especially because the event ran for...2 weeks or more and i had 3 accounts to play each :D.
My love for that event was also the fact that you could roll for the rewards a GREAT number of times without problems in a pretty short amount of time. I made a killing then with adena, talk about hundreds of millions :).
i was always a pumpkin fan myself since everyone could participate and everyone walked away with something for very little effort
gotta say though the santa event is my all time fav, if i knew then what i knew now it wouldn't be such a big deal but at the time it literally doubled my xp per hour

I agree with your event listing. Though I'll have to say that the last two events weren't too bad either. I love the events no matter what...even though every time, rewards being easy or difficult to get, bots/farmers find a way to spam the event. That always makes me LOL. ^_^
I can't wait for a new event to come out. I like how their latest ones are so unique! I hope they bring the medal event back sometime soon...

I always love events with cute little critters...lol. :) I sadly missed out on most of the bunny money event, but being a bunny twice was really fun. The mouse hunt was a blast...I farmed that one more than anything. Got obsessed with finding those pink mice. Why? I don't know. But the mice were so darn cute!

Crazy as it sounds, the first event where you spelled "Lineage II" was the biggest hit for me. It happened that I was trying to level many hours per day in Wastelands and the letters were falling like rain.
At one point I had 120+ of them including multiples of the couple that are always more rare.
I sold them all for millions of adena and it was the biggest adena increase I'd had since starting to play the game.
Went from like 3 million adena to 14 million adena in 3-4 overnight sale cycles. That doesn't sound like much now but at the time I was flying high! (lol)
I used some of these funds to start my "top D weapon sale shops" which actually took me to 50 million for that first time.
That stupid letter event (which I didn't really like so much from a playing standpoint) will always be one I remember fondly.
Otherwise, the squash/pumpkin one usually makes me laugh :)

So far my favorite event, hands down, was the Santa event. I loved the weapons, the buff scrolls, and I still love my Rudolf.
The other event that was pretty cool was when the Raid Bosses spawned outside of towns and dropped all kinds of good stuf.. One time I think they dropped complete mats for crafting A grade stuff... including the common mats, like stems and metallic fibre, etc.
Hands down favorite in my books close second is the one with the grouping of mobs summoning every 4 hrs or so that dropped mass materials!
Oh my gosh I forgot about that one. I was such a newbie back then though that I never once ran into that group (I think I was avoiding it out of fear, lol). I think hubby caught it once or twice. Seems like ages ago.
