You understand that when you come here to the forums you open your story up to criticism? I then have to defend why things were done by CS in public. This never ends well for anybody.
Why was your friend banned? He was fading in and out during PvP. We have vids. But the vids alone were not good enough for us. So we matched up our logs with the time of the vid. Yup, sure enough there he is coming and going.
The point is… the GM team does not randomly ban accounts. A lot of work has to be done to ban an account and if the proof is not there, we don’t do it. If just so happens recently we have become a little faster at our job. So, people that thought they would never get caught are now screaming.
I understand you are a trusting person and can’t believe your friends would cheat. I suggest you sit down and take a deep breath and really think back to all of your friends that got banned. Can you say for sure they were ALL 100% legit.

I'm not a fan of Spam, but I am sure he will drop what he is doing to upload a video in hopes of appeasing you. By the way, you should have gone one better and claimed that you and your friend have your computers right next to one another. Granted, that doesn't mean that you were watching him 24/7 but it has been used before and it seemed like a nice touch. I mean, if you're going to make one of these threads at least put a new spin on the same tired line or spice it up a bit.

Hmm, there just might be a forum rule that is written specifically to dissuade people from doing exactly what you're doing right now...
I have yet to hear of any 100% mistake ban's that a person remained banned for. If they made a mistake, it will get corrected... but going by the GM track record, I have yet to see a permanently banned account, that did not have a valid reason to be banned.
The only thing I'm 100% sure about, is that right now you appear to be nothing more than upset about your gear getting lost. I have a feeling this has nothing to do with your friend honestly, it's more about the gear you lost as a result of your friend. Sorry you lost your gear, but unfortunately I'm willing to vouch the the GM didn't make any mistake here, and really the only people to blame here is yourself for lending your gear to someone, and that someone who didn't apparently respect the gear that you lent them.
Either way, IF they did make a mistake, I would encourage you to be patient, because the GM's usually correct these kind of mistakes.

Also from reading your reply it seems you are assuming that your friend was banned for what they were doing that exact moment. I can tell you they were not banned for doing stuff in the Oly. I said we are quicker... I did not say we were instant. :)

U should know that only saying "i got vids and i've seen logs" its a bit not enough to be a serious evidence, if Spam told that he got this "vid", he should post it to proove.
But I just want to know what kind of vid he got, Amneziya wasnt in clan, he never went to pvp, he was just exping and going oly, so who made this vid and where? Some1 was sitting and watching how amneziya is exping untill he is going to fade? Or Spam went to fraps this "vid" himself?

How do you know this even has anything to do with the Olympiad? He said he received videos, and confirmed logs... That could have been from Days/hours before you even lent them the gear for Olympiad.

Why would you lend your gear to anyone you know who bots, not expect that it will get lost at some point, and then get upset about it and say your quitting the game, and play it out like NcSoft is the bad one here... I mean, what sort of Logic is that?

this right here removes all sympathy anyone could have had. you had an unfortunate and expensive loss, and now we all know they will ban a char in the middle of oly... and as Spam and Nya said, he was banned at that moment for something he did previously (hours/days/weeks ago) not something he did right then. unlucky moment of banning for you...

but i agree with whoever else said it...if you *knew* someone cheated, why would you lend them anything? if they're disreputable enough to cheat, they're more likely to just keep your gear.
oh, and by the way...spam almost always replies to my private messages even if it's just with "ok. --spam"
You should be able to get into another clan if you're a high level & they will probably help you out with gear! You should be thankful that you still have your account, if I were Spam, I would of banned you just for associating with cheaters!

You don't have to prove anything to this customer as they are not the person who's account was banned, even then you've always said you'd do it in private.

and even when i did do something wrong, it was because at the time things where looking bleak to me, cause everyone around me was cheating, true i tasted the water, but i stopped realizing it just wasnt something i wanted to get known for.
a week later i was banned. i was so mad. at myself at other players and at Ncsoft.
so, i started over.
I was a clan lord, I had an active clan, and when the updates to have a level 5,6,7
leveled clan. we where one of the few that was ranked 6. it happend right when i was banned. we had ebnough to go to 7.
I let down friends, clanmates and myself. even though at the time i wasnt doing anything wrong.
But I had...just not at the time.
so yah i can see people getting caught that thought they couldn't.
i can see people who go legit getting caught
it was our fault in the first place.
and its not like L2 officials cant just see if you subscribe to one of these programs
they dont need to see you doing it if your registered using it.

- ttshe4ka (or something like that) was botting on IOP and got a ban, ra*** was on that char too from time to time
- still have a couple of bottrains in IOP/Chromatic
- and both were botting themselfs before
So from now on we must not trade any of our gears because we can never be 100% sure that the person we trade the gear is "clean"?

If you want to be fair, you must return items to the original owner or at least warn players that they might have this kind of problems so to stop making trades of their gear and losing items they worked hard to obtain.

What the hell is he crying for anyway? It's a frikken botted and bought account. localhost, system32, loginsomething (we named them windows bots ) along with bunch of other idiot bots were always botting in N Cemy. I am amazed they survived C3/4 all the way to this year.

You do not need to know how other people run L2. You have to know that when you give an item to someone else, it is theirs; not your anymore. If you have some sort of deal to get them back from that person... that is your business. NCsoft will not keep track of your personal deals in game. You do that. If you do not want to lose your gear, do not give it away. That simple.
On the other hand if you do want to make a deal and let someone borrow your weapon please make sure to have the deal written on paper signed by all those involved and then notarized. If your deal goes south you can then send this documentation to our lawyer who can ask me to set such deal straight. Naw not really. Just don't loan your equipment.
