Furious soul increase your crit atk/dmg rates very good, but they lower your p.def aswell
I want to know if this skill is a good choice to use in a mass pvp (because in a single pvp it can be good sometimes or not, since you know who is your enemy)
When I played before on others servers, this skill increased my SE dmg and rate.
Extra question: does crit rate actually increase in your sucess chance of a SE?
In mass pvp, i would say hell no. You only make yourself an easier target, since you won't be using your normal hits so much. Sure it "would" be good but i wouldn't dare the loss of p. def.
Also crit rate doesn't increase the landrate of shining edge, however DEX does.
If you think you won't last long and are gonna Sword Shield anyway, go ahead and use it. In general I would say it's not helpful in mass pvp unless you are primarily going for healers or other mages, then it will be helpful.
I believe crit rate does NOT affect chance of Shining Edge landing; crit rate affects only regular hits. Only Pride of Kamael and certain dagger self buffs will affect SE landing rate I think. And how would DEX affect land rate if crit rate does not? However, since SE is considered a critical hit Furious Soul should increase it's damage, yes.
DEX has mortal blow type skill land rate increase as one of its effects. I believe DEX effects were:crit rate, run speed, attack speed, evasion, accuracy, mortal blow type land rate. I might have forgotten 1 or 2 things tho, but i doubt it.
Crit rate (or at least DEX) does in fact affect Shining Edge. It's not very easy to test but if you have dye slots you can go +4 con, str, -10 dex. As long as you don't use Pride to skew the results, you will see a significant drop in the success of SE. The only problem with this test is that str is also said to affect skill crits. So upping str could yield skewed results.
I imagine this is crit rate (the game checks to see if the 'hit' was a critical before determining the success of the skill) but it could well be simply dex. I may take my focus Dama from my latest tank and see if it is indeed crit rate. I'm sure I did this test before but anyways...
My own question is S80 gear: What the hell does the 'Weapon Master' Shoulder pad upgrade upgrade 'Critical Damage Chance' thing do? Is it normal critical damage chance or skill crit damage chance?
Additionally it's such a shame Soul Hounds are forced into this armour set. It's almost worth not even bothering to get the pads. The Dagger Master or Bow Master would be far more suited, and the Summoner or even Enchanter would be completely perfect! Oh well...
I should just stop picking up those IoP drops and stop thinking about the far (far....) future ^_^.
