I just subbed Destroyer and am just looking for advice on where to hunt, gear/tattoos to wear, general hunting tips & anything else.
So yes, I'm level 40 atm... is there any specific spot that is works really well in a Destro's favour? Hunting spots please! :)
Tattoos? I'm guessing I should go for +CON -DEX?
Gear? ATM, I'm thinking this: (correct me if I'm wrong)
C: +10 Berserker Blade + Full Plate
B: +10 Berseker Blade + BW Heavy (not sure if I should keep using my +10 for B grade, or if a +0 great sword would be better?)
A: Dragon Slayer+Tallum Heavy
Before the vitality system and herbs, multi-HP mobs were generally a good way to level on a Destroyer (white or even yellow if you had buff/heals, probably green mobs if no buffs / heals).
With vitality and herbs, 1X mobs in fields will tend to work better. Secondary to that and the matter of herbs if you don't have buffs and heals, is the spacing of the mobs. You run slow, so all other things being equal, closer spacing will help.
Finally, I will note specifically two places outside of catas that are super:
1) Pavels Ruins - try to get your hands on a common 2h blunt if you choose to go there, it will be cheap and worth it, and the mobs drop herbs.
2) Enchanted Valley - if you have buffs and heals, you can also level very fast here.
Beyond that, Outlaw Forest, FP, VoS and Garden Of Beasts are very good places at the appropriate levels.

Oh, and on gear, Alexis, what you suggest would be OK. Be aware, most people that play Destroyers seem to fall into 1 of two camps as far as weapon choice, and it lines up by SA:
1) Health, to make it easier to use the 30% HP skills.
2) Focus, to get more crits.
I'm sure you're aware, Frenzy has already been nerfed, and it's said that skill re-use will be changed in the next chronicle. Those changes would tend to put more favor to the choice of Focus for SA.
