Fx 3.0 = Firefox 3 -- 3.06 is what I am using and it blocks the site. Only thing I can assume is that either you have some kind of add-on that is interfering with the script or you've manually added an exception.
I use AVG anti virus. I clicked on the site and that warning came up instead of the site.:cool:

It's a Firefox/Google thing. I have no antivirus running on my machine at all and it comes up on 3 different machines (2 work and 1 home).
Not sure if it happens on Fx on a Mac or Linux though.
well then use IE or just tell firefox to not block that site...easy.
You can click through and go to the site anyways, but the site has been blocked for a reason. If you read the report posted in the first post, you will see that one of the computers was infected from a trojan from that site.
Now the error also says it has been clean for 90 days, but there was something on there that they were protecting you from.
theyve been really good about rebuilding their DB, particularly with CCQ's.
but since nobody really ever volunteered to get 3rd class quests done, they dont have many.
stratics isnt done or down, by far. i know the guy running it, and he's a dedicated guy with considerable backup data should the worst happen AGAIN. afaik, their wiki is coming along nicely too. since LC left, however, the new content manager (Jkoster) has had to sandbox everything privately to get layouts right, and content handled properly.
its not ane asy task rebuilding what once was the greatest site ever all from scratch with 1 help for quests and 1 help for wiki stuff.
I'm not knockin Jay or anyone that is willing to put time and effort (unpaid more than likely) into a fan site for a game I love. There are however some decent alternatives that have just as many (if not more) guides than Stratics.
In reality I tend to use all of the L2 sites I can get my hands on for quest/game information. I just take a little bit from each and mix it all up in a spicy mix.
The only thing better than 1 good fan site...is 3.
Just as a piece of info, the Stratics upper people are already informed of this problem. I'm not sure how long it'll take to be fixed, what kind of problem it is, I'm just a guide writer, really. But the upper people were warned.
There's not much else we can do, really. I'm just a quest guide writer with limited time to write those guides, so honestly, I try my best.
But I can't possibly cover anything, and not many people volunteer to help with quest guides that I cannot cover, so it goes slowly.
Oh it's been downhill since that data wipe disaster when LC and I left anyway.
I feel for any of you continuing to work on that dumb site though, better hope someone doesn't slip and wipe the server again, forget to check the backups before that, then tell the content creators that no one gives a flying pellet that their work might be irretrievable.

Has nothing to do with the Anti-Virus program, the site is just not safe according to others' experiences.
Which doesn't bother me. I stopped using Stratics around Interlude when they went into the toilet...
For what it's worth, the problem is not directly with L2 Stratics. There was a trojan suspected somewhere in the network as a whole, and that is what is causing the google alert to pop up.

There are certain things on the Stratics site that aren't on other sites but I'm not going there with that kind of warning popping up.

The problem with this site (and with some more else) is they use copy-and-paste scripts for consoles popping and those scripts are compromized. Add to it they use cheap and unrealiable hosting and voila the problems.
The good news is Stratics for long time is useless as a lineage 2 info site so you simply have nothing to do there.
