Oh i report bots as often as possible call it what you want i could care less about you opinion,nor does it really matter. What matters is we the honest players are taking it into our hands as well as the gms and if you dont like it ,well who really cares if you like it or not rofl.
Wow, really? You're actually coming on official forums and insulting a whole server for reporting bots - as if that's a bad thing?
I'm hoping they'll ban not only your forum account but your in-game account and your ip.... but I know that's a lot to hope for. :p
And really - if the whole server was outraged enough to report bots then there wouldn't be any bots to report, cuz everyone would be against them.
I usually only report bots if they're very obviously botting and in or near a space I want to xp. I don't go looking for them and I doubt many people do. Some of us have better things to do w/ our lives. Then again, some of us having nothing better to do than make ******ed QQ threads like this one. GJ

Every bot I see on my way to a hunting spot or RB I report. Doesn't matter if it's a single bot or a full train, one live char with buff/heal bots or if it's a single bot/bot train that starts to chat with me to try to cover their ***.

I believe he was talking about those that automate their buffers with a third party software.
Believe me, once you've seen a couple of them, it's rather easy to detect when a buffer is automated with a third-party software or when it's just a macro.
what i've wondered is how bots work so well in closed spaces like in cata's cause I can understand the open field auto follow works outside too but not so much indoors
you have never noticed the difference between a bot and a boxed buffer?
bot programs click on the ground at the same point where the person they are following has clicked. they dont autofollow, they can follow their own pathing and easily make it around corners, etc without getting stuck. Watch more closely next time you see a bot in the open field, and u will notice he doesn't follow the master. he will run right towards the target at the same time with the master.

I would LOVE for Aria to be known everywhere as the biggest "Nark" server. I don't think we are necessarily but heaven knows I try to do my part :)
I will report any bot anywhere, anytime, over and over--just because it makes me smile.
My opinion is it would be great if our server actually did become notorious for bot reporting.
We may be a minority, but at least there is a subset of Aria players who work very, very hard within the game to be legit.
So to the OP--go ahead and spread the word! If you cheat on Aria you'll lose everything cause players there hate cheaters and report bots nonstop!

If I remember correctly, was Lionna not the server that used to have perma red clans for the sole purpose of actively hunting farmers/bots? That was the reason why adena was always highest on Lionna wasn't it?
Guys look, if your willing to bot and get caught botting then thats your choice, if you want to play Legit then that is awesome. For those that bot its just saying to all of us Legit players is that you are cheaters and we hope you leave the game so us that play our ***** off and make awesome parties can enjoy the game the way its designed. I'm all for banning bots and reporting cheaters! Heck, I've had to report friends before. Sad, but true. There's no arguement when someone chooses to break rules, and they get banned. Wrong is wrong. Cheating is cheating. I'm with koster and the others in this post...I'm PROUD to be on a server that's known for reporting bots, if that is in fact a true rumor. ;)
...and yes, I agree...you've seen one bot/automated toon, you've seen them all. They're really easy to point out.

Eliminate NCsoft official support of multi-box/botting and it won't be so difficult to weedout the botters. No Autofollow, no multi accounts. It's very easy to see this type of "behavior" now, when it IS allowed. Whne it is NOT allowed then it's an instant ban... oh? but that would hurt your box... wouldn't it? Stop with the false statements. It's either there or it's NOT. You can't have a gray area with this sort of thing.

I'd have to agree with Valerie (I always agree with you Valerie! lol)...the whole 'I hate boxing' needs to stop (first and foremost, boxing and botting are NOT the same thing. Not gonna say it again). I'm an SE and I could say I hate it, because it somewhat cheapens my class...but so what? As long as they're not using 3rd party programs to operate their characters, it's completely legit to dual-box and auto follow. So is having more than one account. Technically my husband pays for my account AND his...so wouldn't that be considered two accounts? So you're saying that mine should be closed?

- Idiot #1631685461 came to Aria forums to say we were NARKS for reporting bots left and right
- Nice and awesome people we are, we told him we'd rather be Narks and report bots than to be botters. Of course, the "Are you afraid we report your bots" question came with some posts.
- Val awesomely changed NARK for NARF and Pinky and the Brain references popped up! Whee!
- Pirotesa beat a dead horse (again) and since lately she can't seem to get her foot off her mouth, she quoted Drakky's post to accuse HIM (of all people :eek: ) of having a box and being a hypocrite cause he was against botters and yet he had a box and boxed buffers (Which made me laugh out loud. Really. IRL).
- Tamoh agreed with Val again (whee, <3 Tamoh).
- Then Drakky showed his claws (his, not Pookie's!!!) and I felt like applauding! <3
- Then Jay made the most wonderful replacement of Piro's useless post with a picture that should replace all her posts lately :D (loved that too)
- Then you asked what's going on, and now I'm doing a summary.

I have played L2 off and on since launch. I started on Seighardt until NA players started to BOT. I was frustrated with NCSoft for not doing anything so I left the game. I came back tp the game and Xfered to Bartz and Joined a "legit" clan, it was good for a while until the botter clans started to lock down Boss spawns which drove this clan to bot also, I /gquit and transfered to Lionna and found the same thing was going on there so I left left the game again.
I have just recently returned to the game after reading about the recent bans of some Heroes, do I think it is too late? In some ways I do since most botters are level 85 with multiple 79+ subs. I can say that least some of these cheaters are paying the price for driving so many great players away from this game and Aria KEEP REPORTING THESE SCUMBAGS and mabey we can have the cleanest server out there.
NCSOFT Ty for banning these cheaters, many many more feel the pain.
Yes, every little bit does help. It gets frustrating to see so many people cave to botting to keep up with the botters (that's just so rediculously ironic it's funny)...but unfortunately every game is going to have its cheaters. That's just how life goes.
As much as people say they don't see it happening, I have faith that people are getting banned for cheating, as I have seen it happen in select places to select players. It might not happen when it needs to or as often as it needs to, but NC does have a lot of work on their hands as it is with how much cheating goes on. I don't envy them their job. ^_^
Keep your chin up and don't give in. Enjoy the game as you can, and I agree...we just need to keep reporting botters. Every little bit counts. *wink*
