I've been playing Lineage 2 for about 5 months now. I started with a Dark Elf and made a Bladedancer but meh it got tiring so I made a Dwarf which I absolutely love and easily became my main toon (70 1/2 Warsmith). I have little to zero knowledge about tattoos but I am thinking +3 dex/-3 con, however I am not entirely sure about that. Was wondering what you guys would recommend...any help would be appreciated.
I like have +4str +4 dex and i love the extra run speed i get (not much but it is noticeable especially when dueling since dwarves are slow as is). You can always take the tat off if you don't like it. Don't be afraid to try +4dex also it just depends on you'r play style. Do you wanna be a tank style dwarf or are you more of a DD dwarf. Are you usually in parties that have a tank? It's all in the matter of your play style but I personally like my set up now. If you go minus 8 con I'd suggest (when you get the adena one day which wouldn't be hard since dwarves hold 90% of in game currency =] ) getting two armor sets: Tallum for bleed resistance and majestic for stun resistance and for increased accuracy when poling. Just make a macro to switch between them when you need to. When hunting stun mobs use majestic when hunting bleed mobs (Bandersnatches at WOA) switch to tallum. I prefer to keep using majestic for now since I can't afford to buy both. That's my 2 cents =]

I'll have to give the +4 dex some thought. I went +4str/-4con for now. My play style is mainly solo..probably say I solo 80% of my time xping and 20% in clan groups, usually out in Hot Springs now so another -4 con might hurt a bit.
first and foremost, hello to all the fellow dorfZors. good to be back after such a long break.
secondly, agree with the tat suggestions here. i still have +5STR +4DEX on me, but then again i have a PP 2box to give me btb/bts to negate so much of the -CON, plus i use a Basalt w/Health so that helps too. but i also, along with the rest here, strongly suggest to go +str -con (and +dex -con if you can handle it). i'd say since you are still grinding it out, just go full +5STR -CON
dorfs who use blunts with health for anything other than olympiad make me want to cry :(
me too mate, me too, i've had quite a few teary eyes when fellow dorfzors dont listen to what to use when it comes to basic grinding. thats y i keep my FB w/focus by my side for mob hitting. and the bassalt w/health 150F for people hitting.
And lets say I start playing Smittie again, 68 BH, is there any good spot besides Beast farm to spoil (feeding gives me a headache lol), and what wep would you guys suggest?
1x hp mobs I solo with oop buffs, more than 2x hp I 4 box with extra BD/EE/WC in party.
Get Tallum Hvy and Foundation Elysian for hvy atk speed.
+STR-CON since +STR raises chance on critskills.
afaik no second class dorf skills can crit so +str while imo the best way to go is kinda a non factor there and obviously i'll once again advise a sword preferably with focus to any dorf who does't run around with zero buffs spamming skills non stop
I personally have +5 str +4dex and have +5speed from my blunt mastery skills...
And I know it's not good to have +5str (99% use +5dex) but I still hope for skill crits which is influenced by str...
AOE party requires many efforts + it costs alot and almost makes no exp boost (talking about myself only). But when soloing, I earn like 4-5% per day + I earn more adena than I spend on shots. So... I don't need to AOE...with 7.7k hp herbs do just fine...
you get 4-5% a day solo? Hmm I think I am doing something wrong... Not sure how you manage that, perhaps you can teach me the ways? If you get that much I should be able to get at least double that at 79!!! :)
79-81 are absolutely the same exping speed. in fact, it may sound silly, but I managed only 3% tops at lvl 79, and only 4-5 at lvl 81+

The "teaching" is very simple. I overhit as much as I can (as long as I don't need any SP at all) so I overhit almost every mob in Ketra. And in Gracia final, when golem won't consume my exp anymore.... oh my GOD... 4-5% + 15% ? = 6% a day? I'll love this thing!!!
So, basicaly, you take FB [Focus]. Make it +5, Make your Fatal Strike +10-15 attribute, and you will rock in PVE.... i.e. my crit rate is 290. Which is very-very cool. And crits are big.
Edit: oh, and of course you'll need POF + Mana Gain (my mp runs out very fast, herbs usually don't recover it, so I use SE all the time).

IT is easy to make AoE too imo. BD and DC or SE is all thats really needed. can get some 0.5%/h at 81 there solo, with oop support.
if you want to try solo AoE i REALLY recomend using a 150 holy spear. +5 STR - 5con is np to keep for most AoE, some areas you might want more HP though for safety. having a live healer is always nice aswell, and in most cases non says no to good AoE XP.
btw Woonaloow, where you XP singel target to get 4-5%? and how long?

AOEing with THAT set of bonuses might be usefull and fast indeed. But I don't have an oppurtunity to have bd+sws+baffer+healer (I mean I can't pay that much).
But I do have an opportunity to wear +0 "A" grade, and have +0 "S" weapon [focus] with 150fire attribute and pay for PP+SE accounts and have 4-5 (6-7% in Gracia Final) per day at lvl 81 !!
I exp at Ketra, if Catacombs are taken... generally, Catas are good to if you have 150 holy attribute (I exp there with BD to get 190 holy atack)
pretty sure most catas are blue at 81 but i have no friggn idea how you manage 5% a day at ketra (unless you are talking about 16 hour days or something) as far as single target went i was getting half the xp at ketra as i was getting at L room and L room is almost half the xp i get AOEing

BD and DC or SE is all thats really needed. can get some 0.5%/h at 81 there solo, with oop support.you won't do much with that setup even with boss jewels but with dc/bd/sws you can pull .8ish an hour there but the bad thing about I.T is it doesn't matter how awesome you are, you could have a +16 pole and full epics and still get exactly the same xp as i get
EDIT:i use a low element pole so with 150 you could prolly drop the bd or sws and still keep up with me at 80+
