Is it almost impossible to level Kamael Male Berserker w/out a 2box buffer? I prefer to not pay for a 2nd account. Is it a versatile class at all? How bad is downtime? Does it have anyway of healing itself?
I have no long-term playing experience with a berserker yet, but after 6x it should get quite a bit easier if you hunt in a herb area. Clan hall buffs or alternatives (like the current event buffs) would suffice if you monobox. And yes they have means to heal themselves at times, with Blood Pact (sort of like Body of Avatar from bishops, increases max hp and restores that amount), or body reconstruction, 100% heal with a pain in the *** cooldown ('round 30 minutes?). Your downtimes will be mainly determined by your luck at catching mp herbs after level 60, when you will begin to pretty much one-hit 1x hp mobs.
Live in Garden of Beasts(area just outside Goddard) and you'll be fine with no buffs and can take you to 75. You can stack up on Healing Pots just to make sure.
you will be fine if you solo in herb dropping areas. You can go to 77 outside goddard as well, don't think they turn blue till then.
buy tons of regular heal pots in the store and spam those as needed. berz has UD and self 100% heal for emergencies anyway but that should be rare in herb area.
and Blood Pact does not heal up hp, it increases hp regeneration (not very much tho).
