That is the worst written post I've seen in a long time. Don't attack him and he likely won't kill you since he'd go red.

I've always loved how people can heal mobs; it adds a little fun to raids... godda love war tagged Cardinals healing RBs... :p:p
But... doing it to someone who's just out there playing is a little annoying. Unfortnuately, it's part of the game's mechanics so we have to live with it. I'm not sure what I'd do if someone healed my mob... I guess I'd finish it then chase him/her... I don't tend to fight mobs (solo) which stand a chance of killing me... I guess I play in the safe zone.
We used to play this game on the mobs in Cruma tower, back in the day of course. Give every mob you saw full buffs and watch the hilarity as porta's/krator's were suddenly catching up to (and eating) all the mages kiting them.

I used to do that on the golems north on talking island and watch the nukers run off the cliff as they tried to kite them :p

LOL, where do you see anything relating to botting? I'd think that someone had a healer healing the Mob (causing the healer to flag) then that person had a higher level toon (the orc that killed the OP) waiting around for the OP to try to kill the healer - then the waiting Orc would kill the OP. -- which is exactly what happened from the post that the OP made.

I used to do this with an SK that I had on Sieghardt ^^ I would run up to a war tag that was fighting a mob and try to land lightnight strike on the player and watch the mob kill them. That's when LS lasted 2 minutes. Other times I would see a war tag running from town to town and LS them and when it landed I keep going and let them stand there for 2 minutes. hehe, was funny - and had nothing to do with bots.
I don't know what post you read, but I didn't see him say anything about the OP botting or not.
Thats just pretty common practice for killing botters without going red. Thats what it sounds like these people were trying to do. But clearly this guy wasn't a bot, he was just dumb enough to flag back... Twice.....................

I would recommend you find a way to deal with getting rolled in this game. Outside of safe zones, anything not assisted by 3rd party programs is "fair".
I think we forget this and we fail to remind new players that "open pvp" means OPEN.
Other players don't have to have a good reason to kill your toon. If they are able to kill you then they can.
One reason this is important to keep in mind is precisely this circumstance, where the other player was smarter than you.
Idk if he/she wanted that hunting area or was looking for some no-karma griefing fun to pass the time. But getting you to attack and then killing you isn't exactly new!
You should understand a couple of basic concepts concerning L2.
1. Don't hit other players while you're leveling
2. Stronger and smarter players will virtually always roll others without much difficulty.
3. It's a really, really good idea to read and study the game and its systems
4. Deception is fundamental to L2.
Cause in answer to your OP? If you swat everyone who comes by that ticks you off you are going to lose exp on a regular basis.
At this point in the game's life that other toon is allied with some serious power. Even if you somehow beat that one toon--you may not like what happens next (and every time you log in for a few days).
This approach of yours (swat first, think second) will also not be appreciated by your clan!!!!
Were you griefed? Probably. Is there a remedy for you? Yes--get smarter and stop initiating pvp on other toons.

When you go to the adventure guide to get newbie buffs, you can get a protection buff as well (as long as you're lower then 39) & it will protect from any one who is 10 levels difference from you. (this is free)
It might help you a bit, if the character is above 10 levels.
If not, don't flag back, die & let the other character go red!

I thought protection buff only stops a chaotic character from attacking you? If the other person doesn't have karma he can still kill a new character.

Even if you do not know English well you could always ask someone to proof-read it. Grammar mistakes are fine but when it's hard to even understand the post then the poster should try harder. That entire post was a single run-on sentence which was not finished by a period. I also did give him advice, not just criticize in the post. I guarantee you it is not that the post cannot do better but he was simply ranting and not even trying to make it readable.

The buff won't help the OP if he insists on hitting players who annoy him. It's a good idea and reminder to him to get it, though.
If a player 40 levels above you hits you while you have the protection buff nothing will happen, but if you return the attack, then the higher player is free to roll you.

This is not correct. You can flag while the protection buff is on you and it gets cancelled when your shot lands.

You imply that people use something against the EULA a lot of this forum. Your choice of course, but those types of comments do the community an injustice as a whole when someone is trying to get a question answered or help to a problem that doesn't include something against the EULA.
