I recently just made a kamael and I was wondering what gear and wep's I should aim for at D grade, B, C, A and S grade. Any advice and tips will be appreciated!
P.S, I plan to go soul breaker.. not sure what level you can but I think it's 42? Anyways, thanks again! Cheers.
May not be much help but I just leveled mine to 45.
For D grade, I had a Manticore set and Mithril dagger (exchanged with Mammon for Evlen Longswrod and converted). I did Kamaloka quite a bit and hunted in Fortress of Resistance for awhile, then moved to Death Valley, doing Wyrms and Ratmen.
For C, I had a Drake set and I've been using the C grade Shadow Rapier Binzslasher (spelling?). I've seen it recommended to use Plated Leather. I've been hunting around Hardins Private Academy, concetrating on Fettered Souls. I just spent some time around Ivory Tower last night, she seems to do well there.
Not too sure about grades above C.

P Leather is the best bet for c and b grade, though you don't 'need' it if you already have something else. Focus weapons are the best although cit damage is pretty amazing if you have a good +crit rate augment and a Focus 3 buffer. It also buffs the damage on Shining Edge meaning more 1 shot kills. Whichever way you go, Rapier leveling is pretty easy.

A grade, all 4 sets are pretty decent. Tallum gives you more mp for skills, DC gives you that nice damage and attack speed bonus, the VR from Nightmare is decent since you have a fast attack speed to begin with, and Majestic is nice for the extra dex, carry limit and stun resist.
As for weapon you can almost bypass A grade and stick with a B grade weapon w/Focus(no A weapons you can turn into a rapier has it...nice little oversight). Get it +4 or higher and parties will love you, especially healers and Titans in Frenzy. Only A weapon you may wanna get is a common caster weapon for nukes and debuffs.
Don't bother using the S rapier until you got some element on it, 75 or higher, else you're mostly wasting money, unless by some miracle S crys on your server are not stupidly higher than A crys. Once you got your rapier and drac set, you may wanna get an arcana mace with acumen or imperial staff with empower, depending if you want your magic skills to get off quicker or have a better chance of debuffs landing.
Yes, bypassing A-grade weapon-wise isn't a bad idea at all, since there's no A-grade sword/rapier with focus. And focus will work much better for you then the bit more atk you get from an a-grade weapon.
I also agree with holding off on the S-grade one until you can put elementals on it, for the simple fact that your shot-usage is pretty insane. And yes, you will want Dark on your rapier as it will boost your dark nukes considerably.
When I got into s-grade dark stones were a lot more expensive then they are now, and depending on the market you might want to do the same thing I did: I got a FB, oe'd it to +4 ( I actually made mine +5, but that was luxury :D) and put w/e elemental is cheapest on it (fire in my case). Then, when you have the funds to get dark, sell that sword and get a new one (preferably with more +) and put dark on that. That way you can become competitive in pvp and efficient in grind earlier.
Gear wise you want... anything for D-grade. D-grade is just too short to really matter, although I LOVE the way manticore looks (or Clan Oath for cheaps and functionality... doesn't look horrible either). PL for C-grade (or Rind Leather for looks.. yes, RL is crappy, but it looks great). either keep PL or go Doom for B, and A-grade... go DC if you can live with how horrid it looks. I couldn't. I had tallum (which looks best) for grind, and Maj for pvp (yum stun res, yum dex). For S-grade, there's only one set -Drac-, and even if the bonus isn't really worth your attention you'll NEED the elemental resistance it can provide for pvp.

You should use a dark elf long bow, it is cheaper than the bow of peril and has almost the same P atk. Besides if you grind properly you will not be in B grade very long anyway :)
