There is so much Ignorance in this post, It's amusing honestly.
Either way, the Lollipop event again would be nice, but the large number of more recent events have not sucked, and a large majority of people have enjoyed them. There is more to the game than an XP bar, and finding ways to make it go faster, so I don't think every event needs to always be about XP'ing faster. People have enjoyed the variety of the events that have been happening, so by you saying they sucked, then that's your own personal opinion, which is not really shared by the vast majority of the community.

It's also a bit pointless to play this game, if your always depending on NcSoft getting involved, and speeding up your gaming experience. If you can't handle the game currently in front of you, laying all the blame on NcSoft is a bit pointless. I mean, I don't have S80 on my EE yet... Should I start complining that NcSoft dosen't care about me, and it's playerbase because I don't have S80 yet, and it's really not fair... Cause that's pretty much what your doing.

#1.) botting and the failure of ncsoft to take action removed the "challenge" of levelling. Sayha finally got rid of one of it's "finest" 85/85 toons. That's what you get for using the Unreal engine.
#2.) chess is challenging, pressing the same combo of buttons over and over again as all MMO's are, is mind-numbing.
If you do not provide what your customers want they leave. ;-D. Let me know the numbers of L2 please.
With content being released for 76+ it would seem that the most valuable thing you could offer your player base is xp to be able to take advantage of it. Can you point to an event that people responded to as well as the vitapops they received? I doubt it.

More lollipops are out of the question. There are several heavy built dwarfs out there, and i would suggest an exp sallad just to be on the safe side. :D

The grind in the same place, for 20+ levels is boring!~
However, the exp isn't hard, just kinda boring!
Sure I can get into a clan with characters the same level & spice it up a bit, but when no one is EVER on &/or you switch clans numerous times, looking for people who are around your level, but that doesn't work.. Then I'm back to the boring looking desert again :(
So, I now drink when I solo (which is all the time) & slowly on my way to become an alcoholic! Lol jk ;)
I had to use the vitapops at 2 bars because I don't often get below 2 bars to use them to their fullest. One of my characters still has all 5 left. I pretty much end up having to force myself to use them, otherwise they just add clutter to my inventory.

I play on Phoenix and I know who they are. That still does not change the fact that there is no proof that he botted. Guilt by association doesn't cut it, show me a fraps or at least tell me you have seen him bot. If you can't do either then keep any assumptions to yourself.

I love it. Sure, I control a couple of toons at the same time usually... but I prefer to just play one its more relaxing. I'm a tank and have no attack skills - having those I think would be even more fun :)
Smack...smack...smack.... love it. Love the sound of it. Love the xp. Awesome fun and never dull, the only bad thing is I dont have enough time to satisfy my grind hunger..! I'm kept busy doing all sorts of things ingame.
So maybe if you find grind boring you either:
a) Dont do enough of it to keep addicted
b) Do too much of it that you get sick of it rather than lust for it
Oh, and even though I just have my attack button, I find myself repeatedly hitting it (incase get stunned or such and just plain out of habit), and I'm busy lining up my next mob and such or scanning drops with the mouse. Or chatting of course.
But yes mashing that attack F key might help make it more fun too. And oooo dont you guys just looove the sound of crits..?

what about more recent Valentine event?
to me, that was hell of a lot of XP event than pitiful 5 lollipops.
I mean, really..
even if you got 3 day agathion, (I think most people got at least one), you would have had an analog of 5 lollipops if you used your brain a bit... that's easy -
1. at 0 vit, go to cata of sacrifice or some other place with lots of mobs where you get at least 1 xp, buff agathion buff, kill mobs with mass skill for 20 minutes, voila - you have max vitality.
2. after 12 hours (after getting your vitality to 0 again) go to the same spot and buff the buff, logout
3. in the evening login, buff still on, get vit to max, go get vit to 0 xping
4. goto 1.
that's it, you get full vit 2 times a day for 3 days! Ok, the above applies more to the 76+ players because before 76 you can't get your vit from 0 to max in 20 minutes, but still you can get to level 2 vit, buff, xp for 20 minutes to bring vit to max, then 20 minutes to undo that - actually you're getting extra 40 minutes of xping at no vit loss. Or 80minutes if you can use both buffs each day.
imo that was MUCH better than 5 lollipops. I mean, with 30 day agathion, I got to 78 from 68 in a month. with lollipops, well I don't even remember, probably got from 5x to 5x.

I miss the old town songs :( especially the one of Dion got me, they were simple but i have good memories from those times, now some of them are used for certain shops in towns, i'll have to chk which shop has the old Dion song again, then i'll stay forever! :D

oO this thread was made in the "General DISCUSSION" forum. It claims that all recent events sucked, and that "the playerbase" wants more xp lolipops. Since this is a DISCUSSION forum, what's wrong with DISCUSSING the claim the thread makes? If you want to give people the "I don't care about your opinion, I just want to tell NC my opinion" go to the suggestion forum. This one's for discussion, and eventhough you might not agree with what he has to say, doesn't make it less a discussion. Discussion =/= everyone agrees.
On topic: I wouldn't mind more pops for subs and alts, but I have to agree that past 79 they get pretty useless. Regardless of people's accusations, there are more then enough legit 79+ people to give them the opportunity to benefit from an event as well. I'm not saying "boohoo, no more pops pls", but I don't see anything wrong with not having the same event over and over again.
I've personally really liked most of the past events. Not necessarily for the rewards, but just for the thrill of opening those sacks (and getting juices, juices and more juices). Event = free stuff. I really fail to see why anyone would complain about this. I can see why people want NC to spend more resources on removing the bots, and I agree with that. Not making events that let you make money so bots won't benefit however really isn't fair to people that need funds to gear themselves, or have simply no use for pops. Bots already ruin the game enough as it is, I don't think people that legitly level their toons deserve to get events taken from them because of bots

We group, but it's not till the weekends. Mon-Fri, I'm soloing for a few hours a night! Certainly there are more then one place, but for a nuker to gain max exp, almost everyone (not per say everyone will) tell you VOS is the place to level your nuker. At least from 50-75, so that's 25+ levels of grinding in VOS, when you aren't in a party with clan! (Mon-Fri) Lol

That's a down side to the lollipops & having to many of them (as you showed in your calculation) You can kind of control that by either each character carries a max amount only, or you only give a certain total per character/or account.
Its like ncsoft is penializing players 76+ and trying to slow them down even more.
Now with that in mind, to me it would be a better idea to push for the vit rate to be changed to 1x across the board instead of the higher lvl players being punished by the rate going to 1.5 and 2.0.
Now correct me if i am wrong on this, but isn`t it going from 77 to 78 the same xp as lvling a new char from lvl 1 to lvl 77 xp wise.
I don`t think some newer players understand that, so to explain it futher say u hit 77 you will need to farm the same amount of xp to get to 78 as it would take you to lvl a new char to 77. That my friends is one HEXXVA xp wall.
Now lets look at the high lvl player for a min:
1. You grind your main to 76
2. You then have to grind 1 sub 40 to 75 for noble(corrected ty val)
3. You Grind a total of 3 subs 40-75 for the sub bonus passives to be competitive in pvp
4. You grind your main then to 78 or so to be more competitive esp for oly`s.
WOW does that overwhelm you yet.
From what i understand xp needed:
77 to 78 = 1-77
78 to 79 = 1-78
So from 76 + your penialized on your vit, the shots u use are 4x higher then A shots, the xp reward per mob is not linear in regards to the xp needed per lvl and the adena drop per mob really isn`t that great either, gee did i miss anything?

So the new content is directed towards "average" Korean players, but is far from average from us. I guess the only way to "adjust" this would be to even speed up the grind (though vitality isn't the way as stated before - it becomes a non-factor after 79), or make these sets s-grade (with several adjusts to stats and boni of course).

Well, the really cool thing about L2 is that the players are almost given complete freedom in what to do. You can run around, be perma-red and try pk people almost everywhere. You can be the biggest a-hole and grief your enemies through the roof if it's that what you're into. I mean sure, the fact that you can even CHEAT and get away with it is taking it too far, but with the clan-structures and the pvp system, the game is basically set up to govern itself. That lack of "government" makes out part of the charm of the game - a lot of people love it for the drama and the pvp that results from it. I have to agree that the paying customer should be provided with an un-broken game, but it really isn't like the game doesn't give the players the tools to take care of the situation themselves. If players would stop to eBay and bot, or start to pk the hell out of eBayers and botters, or even stop clanning/partiying eBayers and botters, the game wouldn't be in the bad situation it is today. The truth is that the game relects the "character" of the playerbase. Of course it is NCs job to keep the bots out, and they're not always doing a good job, but the REASON the bots are there in the first place, are the players. So yes, it might not be the player's job to fix the game, but considering the fact that "we" broke it, gives "us" at least some responsibility in the whole mess.

"we" meaning the playerbase. Not everyone in the playerbase cheats of course, but we all have the tools to outlaw cheating. Of course NC needs to keep banning botters, and start to check on "heroes" more, but that doesn't mean that there's nothing we can or should do. Just partying or being clanned with botters is "supporting" them imo.

2) enforcers are normally solo daggers. Get a decent party together and it won't be a big deal to take them down.
and I'll repeat it for you, since you missed how the above is ON TOPIC: if people would actively do something against bots (like the above stated) instead of whining and crying, we could have all the money making events we want. You seem to forget that not only bots will miss out if we get rid of these events, but also perfectly legit players. You seem to forget that it doesn't only take high level to compete in end-game, but also expensive gear. Making money to get that gear is just as important as making enough XP to reach high lvl. Or do you think you'll be a match for a lvl 83 nuker/dagger/anything in full s80 with full elementals and boss jewels, if you're lvl 83 and in a-grade gear?

Tbh, I haven't needed them as at higher levels the vitality is less useful. I may use them to help get my sub 73 to 75 quickly or maybe use them on second sub as it seems that the biggest boost that you get from vitapops is between level 65 and 76.

i don't have problem with farming adena or mats at high levels but i do have problem selling these shadow rewards from recent events. so what are you trying to say? that recent event rewards suck because they are not helping anyone? that the richs don't buy these overpriced buff scrolls (most have own buff bots) while the poors can not afford them? exactly.

there's always legit players on, just like there's always bots on, so that point isn't exactly valid. And no, I don't run bot pk parties. You don't need a party to take down a party of bots. Maybe for the enforcers, but even for those just one well played perma-red toon is good enough.

It doesn't take long to run through catas/gob/hs/ect once a day and kill a few bots. I can't respect people's complaints if they have a solution right in front of them, but chose to crycrycry instead of doing something. That's just lazy. If just 10% of the people that were legit spent 15-20mins a day (and you can assume that way more then 10% of all legit players play 5hrs+ a day) on pking bots (with a perma red toon), the popular hunting spots would be bot-free.

you can't sell the shadow items from the event, so yes, I assume that you - just like the bots too btw - have a problem making money of those. What I'm saying is simple: By the amount of times bots play every day, I think it's safe to assume that they'll never see bar of vitality, they'll spend 2 or 3 times as much time you xping/botting for the same amount of xp, so that gives them 2 or 3 times as much adena, mats and item drops. Taking this into consideration, it's easier to catch up with a bot lvl wise, then it is funds-wise.
And what's that example with the buff-scrolls about? oO A price is determined by supply and demand, you learned that in high school I hope? You're saying that buff scrolls are already too expensive to afford for "poor" people... but not having events with buff-scrolls will shorten the supply even more, and make them, in turn, more expensive. So while a "poor" person might be able to obtain a few buff scrolls via event and use those (or trade/sell/buy them for ones that are useful to them), they'd become un-obtainable for them. Likewise, if you somehow found a way to exclude bots from getting those scrolls (or got rid of the events, and therefore new buff-scrolls), they would rise in price to a point that a "poor" person would never even /see/ one. I frankly don't understand why people spend money on these scrolls anyway. Why not just party a live buffer, or raise a buffaloe/couger/kokaburra?
I have a few buff-pets, yes, but I wouldn't spend money on those scrolls either way... the reason I'm well off in the game is not because I bot, but because I'm thrifty, and play the market.
My point remains: in order to be a match to ebaying and botting high lvl players, you'll not only need high lvl, but also funds. If you get pops your xp might double, but your funds won't, which leaves you with even less funds at high lvl then you would've gotten leveling the "old fashioned" way. On top of that, bots make roughly 2-3 times as much money/level as legit players anyway, so RATHER then more xp, we need more $$$ to catch up.
Not saying "no more pops pls" - I love them pops for my sub and alts, but for my LEGIT leveled main they are worthless, but I can make good use of the money I make off events. So how is your propsal fair to me, or others in my position (which are quite a few. There's lots of legit players in their 79s).

As for Antibot, I guess we can see where he got his name from. When backed into a corner without valid arguments he starts calling everyone bot, much like Pirotesa does about dualboxing. Really sad lol.
I also think its funny he thinks botters get a pvp edge from being higher than the average player. The pvping bots would prolly bot to lvl80. Having 5 lollipops isnt gonna help you catch up, when lollipops really become useless after S grade.

I mean, honestly... It's not even hard to get a SH from 40 - 75 either, so I deleted all of what... 5~8 weeks of work? Big Deal I guess... I am still playing, and intend on playing this game for a while, so I have plenty of time to level another subclass.
I mean, my Hierophant is even on it's second Subclass, and I only level it when it has Vitality, and it's a 78 Hierophant / 77 Spectral Dancer / 52 Warlock ... Legit Leveling in L2 isn't hard, most people upset on the forums like to point fingers conviently at botted players to justify everything the are upset about.
This game takes dedication, and time to get most if not all End Game material, and sure that may be it's ultimate downfall... but just because someone is higher level, and better geared than you, does not mean they had to cheat to get there.
That being said, if people want XP bonuses, there is nothing wrong with it, but when it's always accompanied by a statement/justification such as "Well we need it to catch all those unlegit players" ... Give that a rest. People don't have the time to invest into this game as it demands, I know I have a fraction of time compared to what I did when I was still in college, yet I still have no problems finding ways to XP it out?
I would welcome the lollipop event again, but I wouldn't demand it... I didn't know the reason why you deleted your SH, I didn't question it either. Everyone pays money to play the game how they want to.
You will still see threads about events people enjoyed, & want to see more of! That's why you see a new thread almost every week about,

jiggie has 3 of the easiest classes in game to lvl (no offense jiggie) and they aren't even that high (again no offense jiggie)
i know i'm gonna come of sounding like a **** but i kinda expect most ppl who have played from C4 to be 79 with at least one or 2 subs, if you are a casual player fair enough you might not be there, if you are a +con pali then yup it'll take a bit longer but bot bashing anyone with a 80+ toon is kinda lame...... deleting a 77 SH before "the age of the SH" is kinda fail though :P
I know they were easy to level, but I could have gone easier... Titan/Tyrant instead of Gladiator for example, lol.
As for the SH, I never really enjoyed playing it, I would suicide with that thing all the time. Would use the Hero Mace, Self Buffs and a Acu/WW Pot and go terrorize, it was just an easy class to get Noble with, and since lived out it's use. :D

afaik he is legit but it's kinda debatable since he has been in 2 of the biggest pro botting clans on my server so even if he hasn't ran a single bot program himself he still benefits from them :/

I can respect that jyrki is legit. I'm from sayha and have had a a few contacts in nova, and i know that not all of them are legit, but not all of them are illegit. And even if he does benefit from bots being in his clan, i would like to see anyone in a poweful clan who doesnt, even if you dont intend to. Just being clanned with people seems to automatically make you the bad guy. It shouldnt be this way. I usualy judge people the same way, but who go pointing the finger?
Now, i actually agree with him when it comes to the pops and events in general. People want an event to give them a lot of xp or adena, and don't simply enjoy an event for what it is, something to break out of the normal grind session! I usually piddle away my events just enjoying the event, and hord the rewards like some kind of pac rat. I still have two pops that I was saving for the grind to 77 - 78.. just to boost that last 7% or so, lol. I really enjoyed the pops, but they are SPECIAL. They should be a relitively rare thing. I would welcome more pops, but will I ever demand them? No, of course not. If we got them to often the game wouldnt be the same.
Now I was just thinking... with the final gracia expansion vit is supposed to go up to lvl 9 right? Will the pops fill vit alllll the way to lvl 9?! :O

Hehe what does that make me then - I've been playing since PRELUDE and my main is only 77 and 80%. And only 1 sub. Although I do have a couple of alts in their 60s. And I did sorta take 18 months hiatus during C5-Interlude-Hellbound period.

I think for the 78+ players need more Quests with > 30M exp as a reward - then ppl will play legit coz we will have coise between unlimited-grinding and nice-Quests for 3-4 hours with cute storylines and awesome rewards! Ofc Q must be reapiteble with 1-2 day reuse time! Choise - thats we need... => NCSoft must inject more content in future..
I wouldnt mind a few interesting quests with good storylines and reasonable rewards. Something to break up the grind a little. Maybe something sorta like the first cc quests.... but shorter!
Not saying that. Heck, if they do that event it woul be great, just getting a bit stupid now the amount of threads about people wanting XP bonus here and there, and their reasoning is always they need to catch up to all those level 8x - S80 wearing cheating bad guys!
It's a bit repedative, and borderline stupid. NcSoft dosen't have to give any events if they do not want to, as we saw last year pretty much, but they have been, and they have been pretty interesting of late, and happening quite often.

I totally agree. And I have to add that NCSoft is hosting the botter banning event quite good during the last 2-3 months. I am seeing less and less 83+ people who got that by using cheats. I hear every day of cheaters being banned. So even if we don't get lollipops we will soon catch up with them when they are no longer active.

From lvl 76+ the vitality consumption rate is 1.5x normal. From 79 its 2x normal.
OMG, thanks for the piece of info. I was wondering why my VIT never last as long as my roomy (who is still A grade).
Now correct me if i am wrong on this, but isn`t it going from 77 to 78 the same xp as lvling a new char from lvl 1 to lvl 77 xp wise.
I found 77 to 78 to be fairly fast. 78 to 79 though is turning out to be a pain. Go to Varka's, kill mobs for 2 hours, don't make 1% (I am usually around Vit 2 on my Hierophant when I start hunting). I figure at my current XP rate, maybe by end of summertime, I will have made 79 (just maybe).
This request is lacking true insight! What we should be asking for as 70+ toon masters is Greater Lollipops. The ones from the previous event don't last at level 4 past several MOBs.
my calculations show I'd make 78-79 on 2 chars in 2 weeks if I had more of the valentine cakes :( and now I'm stuck with 78 and 77 chars and no motivation to level them. 0.22 per buff round is kinda boring
and that is only 588 mil xp
after that, 2 bil to 80, then 3 bil 4 bil etc. meh
ok i'll level them again when I get that 150 attribute arcana mace, I promise. I have learned to hate my +14 sov now. hmm I wonder if it will go to +16, maybe then someone would buy it...
