I started this topic because i think the players realy dont know what will they count in the coming months and years. How i read your quartely earnings and statistic i see that u will loose your players and i feel that u dont do nothing for earn new players, keep the old players and earn back the old players. Example when the Kamael 1.0 update came out in december of 2007 than was Teon, Franz, Bartz server traffics are heavy, Hindemith server traffic is normal. Nowadays just the Teon server is normal at night times all another are light all time. While i read and heard that in asia the players number started growing with nice numbers again, here dont happend nothing.
Lineage 2 in Asia:
1.There are a lots of aviable extra items and pets
2. In same time going 2-3 events all time
3. news about the game in everyday
4. servers's avarage traffic are normal and heavy there and there are more much servers.
Lineage 2 in EU/NA region:
1. We havent extra items and pets
2. We can happy if we have got 1 event in month
3. We can happy if we got a news about game in 2 weeks
4. Avarage servers's traffic are light
5. And still we can see much bots and ebayers
6. We have to wait long time for new updates
Sometimes i feel that for you realy dont care what will happend with this game.
I have got some idea how u can earn new ppls without big money use up:
1. Aviable Trial Accounts all time
2. Atleast 2-3 creative events in every months
3. More extras in the service
4. To continue cleaning of the bots from servers (like than how u do it nowadays)
5. Advertisement in popular websites in every countries, in computer magazines
I very ask u all that help us and make a better place for Lineage 2 EU/NA. This game can earn more beautiful future for it, if u do something.
If u write to Lineage 2's box that u have got 19 millions active gamers in worldwide than show for us and for the world how to look like a game what have got 19 millions users.
I think NC need to employ you as a marketing and community manager. Your comments and suggestions are so original.
L2 in Korea is bigger because it's a Korean game. WoW is bigger in the US than anywhere else because.... surprise surprise, it's a US game!
Korea gets everything first because they develop it. We're playing with a 2nd hand game with resources much more limited than in Korea - be happy that we have Lineage II - there is a lot of work involved to get it to us... from translations to home grown events.
In terms of marketing, NCWest has bigger fish to fry. Look at all of the other games they have out at the moment... most of which are bigger in the US than Lineage II. Would you spend money advertising a less popular, older game? I wouldn't.
Teon were heavy true, than the bot banning came on many servers and thats why teon is in light and normal mode. not because players left. I saw many new faces ingame and here at forum. Also old players came back.

Incorrect WoW: Asia has 2x the subscriptions that WoW:US does. At last glance source: http://www.mmogchart.com/Chart11.html (granted these are unofficial and unconfirmed.)
Just saying its not a Country vs. Country thing. I believe the reason you don't see as much content in NA as you do on the Korean servers is cause the Developers don't have the time/resources to translate 100% of everything they make.

2. Good luck with this, they have a hard enough time with translating their 'published' content and getting it to us in a timely manor.
4. Cleaning of bots takes time and money, cleaning of bots takes money away. Miracles don't happen over night all they can do is remain vigilant.

Another WoW player talking down L2 on the official forums would be my guess. Change the name and break it into 2 posts and we've seen them a thousand times before.
This supposed player won't ever have even 20 posts on these forums and not one single player will be able to say he/she is legitimately in the game.
"anti-l2, bot-bot-bot, l2 sucks" post from a WoW player (or insert other popular MMO of choice)--this time packaged in a more positive OP wrapper with poor grammer.
Not buying it.
But to be fair, it's possible he's really a player and I'm just wrong, so since I have toons on every one of our servers I will happily meet his "65 prophet" at any time in the next 24 hours in the game to be proven wrong :)

With the current economy, I bet some staff in L2 department got laid off... so with less staff working for the already not-so-good customer service+other offical materials hm.... yea :rolleyes:
I know that now servers light why bots got and will got bann.
I know that for this game not was the first target the EU/NA region.
But i dont believe it that the NCSoft who is the 2nd most bigger MMORPG publisher in the world cant earn enough ppls for this game what is the 3rd or 4th at the mmorpg subcription rank list (around 850k active accounts) (and without russian and sea and indonesian players), cant enough ppls for about 10 servers that they will have got heavy traffics. In the MMORPG's lifes dont mean nothing that it is old or new. Lineage 2 is a great game with excellent graphic what is one of the most beautiful in the MMORPG world.
I think just need find out something that do again stronger the EU/NA region too. I know that more faster clean the servers from bots like than earn back about 50 thousand players for game who can upload again the servers. But I just would like to ask the NCSoft if u can than do something for faster player number growing in this region.
Dont worry, WoW is full of bots too and they dont do nothing against it...A friend of mine got caught botting ( LOL its so easy to lvl up in wow and still they bot!) and he just got a time ban of 3 days! Isnt that nice from blizzard? :D looks like they need the players! xD

Well 3 days is hard... u can reach max level in wow in this time ;) :D
I agree with some of the OPs suggestions.
My fiancee and I wont play any other mmos unless they have a free trial.
Especially after the let downs in November.
We like lineage2, but the luster has faded for us some time ago.
Lineage2 used to have sides to it. people worked on there toons in the game.
nowadays its all about getting to end game. L2 offers nothing to do in between
getting to the top other then mind numbing quests with ridicoulouse rewards.
L2 does need to advertise, and they dont need to do much to do it.
hell....we could do it for them.
my suggestion is
1. Host a contest with players to write a review of Lineage2 NA
2. Post that review in PCgaming, Game Informer, or any other one of the popular
NA games magazines.
3. In that same magazine, throw down an advertisement or two
4. yah, offer that trial subscription and put it inside those magazines.
5. dont allow the trial accounts to trade or drop anything.
6. Run an effing commercial on Adult Swim, Spike, Comedy Central or Sci-Fi.
7. Get a ad campeign going in best buy by November for N/A comercial Christmas.
that is of course if Ncsoft wanted to save this game. but as some of the posters have argued, L2 isnt the NC flagship anymore. If they do anything with it, its just something to do in between new projects is my guess.
Erm...redrock...this is kinda normal..it happen to everygame if it is out already for some years. Also wow is all about high lvl end game stuff. The most people at lineage II are already high lvl and the game is out since 2004. Thats why high end content is now only released and faster way to lvl to reach that content.
