Today is the day I try my first ever S grade craft.
it is my weapon. or might be. anyway, just wanted to let you all know. 6 hrs to mammon; 6 hrs to my first try at S grade crafting.
in case you all were wondering, no. i cant wear it yet; assuming it succeeds of course. im still 73. hope to be 76 by the end of summer.
big thank you to everyone who has put up materials to my buyshop; i appreciate your help. this craft is costing me more than i'd like to, but that's i guess how the world works.
my next post in this thread will be to inform you if it failed or not. i really hope it works.

Heh he knows how to manor, it's just not very possible for him.
The most expensive thing for him I guess is the S gem and S crystals. I've donated a bunch of stuff to him myself to help him out, so I hope he can craft it and when he does, I wanna see those things lol
Well, Im really excited that you are close enough to S grade that you felt it was time to craft stuff for when you get that... so gratz on that, Spud hunnie.
And I feel your pain at failed craft :( I hate crafting. That's why I buy and sell stuff. the only things I've crafted lately are s80 jewels... and that's just because there are very few for sale.
My best wishes to you, as well, Tater! If it doesn't work, don't sweat it--we'll just figure out other ways to either try it again or to earn what's needed.

I blew up my first going to +4, so a friend loaned me his +3SoM/Acu for a month or so, but he needed it on his Bishop, so I returned it and decided to sub PS which isn't so gear dependent. :p
Hey Spud sorry you failed...... if its any consolation what i do for 60% crafts is get enough Recipes & Mats for 3 crafts and then do them one after the other. S grade Fists are 225Mill +/- and you can get the keys, recipes, crystals and gems for 3 crafts for a lot less than that. A lot less. The rest are just manor (although people running scripts make it very hard on the turn in...you gotta love those cheaters)
Anyways i always figure i will fail 2 out 3. Oh and if i get lucky and craft on the 1st or 2nd try i stop and sell the recipes and keys....i can always reuse the crystals, gems and regular mats.

:( Phewww you said fists, so that means you didn't craft by my dwarf! Now I don't feel as bad. I hate crafting myself, I stopped at trying a grade stuff and failing too much :( Meanwhile one time about 6 months ago I saw someone craft 9 SOM's in a row on my dwarf without failing, but do you think I could craft a single lone tallum blade for myself :( I just say "NO TO CRAFTING" for myself at least. :)

Let me know when you are gonna start to amass stuff for the craft....i haven't been on my Aria characters for a while but i'm positive i could help you out with some low level mats like iron or varnish or what have you. Plus i may even have some cash O.O
Hey Tulp, would you mind pming how you go about turning in fruit? I strongly suspect you are going about it wrong, since I can get fruit turned in just using a tv clock.
You really need to start farming stuff urself. I manor and farm my own AA. Crafted an Angel Slayer the other day for less than 10m in bought mats.
you farmed 2 million GSS?
i tried farming AA in Disc. and Martyr but i couldnt get more than 200k a day which incidentally cost me so much in SSA i might as well have bought it outright.
so i did.
i dont have extensive buffer setups, and my clannies when i group with them also need AA so it isnt "donate your GSS to Spud" type hunts.
Yes I farmed 2mil GSS. I also seeded each mob in the catacomb. Getting my VOP and mithril alloys.
The seeds I bought off the money my warsmiths craft store makes overnight, so its basically free mats too.
If your A-ss cost you so much, maybe you should stop lvling at all? Your mobs dont drop stuff you can sell or use? A-ss is not a cost, its just a way of killing mobs. If you cant make the money back from the shots you use, you are doing something wrong. Either hunting the wrong spot, or using the wrong totem.
Remember, when in party on a tyrant, your goal is not to impress everyone with amazing atk speed of puma, you just end up paying more than everyone else, use bear or something, and turn off your toggle.

Since you want to know:
1. Craft your own shots, they should not cost over 100a.
2. Make sure you are in a good party, 77 ET and 65 Zerker basically means you are powerlvling them...
3. Make sure you have proper buffs. How you even spend ghp in party with an Evas Templar is beyond me, was he sleeping?
4. This is the important one: Seed!
Why seed? First off I get the mats I need for the craft, while I'm farming the AA for the gemstones/crystals. The mobs drop random bogus mats every now and then, but they dont drop stuff every mob, while seeding at least I can calculate how much adena I get per mob should I sell the mats/use them in a craft.
Mobs in catacombs are 4x hp, so they give good return on fruits, and they drop seal stones even though you seed, so its basically win/win.
If you are insterested my party was 75 Shillien Knight, 76 BD, 75 EE, 78 Doomcryer. SK tanks and hexes, BD dances and assists, EE heals and DC buffs. Nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done.
