In last week's poll, we asked, "Which city do you believe is the best designed city?". The main reply was "Hiene". The beautiful floating city of water.

I voted the town of gludin which i assume is the village of gludin ;)
Seriously though time for this village to become a town/city and get itself a castle! i will volunteer my dwarfs skills at crafting for work on the castle. If it was to be id like to see it not done all at once if were gonna have another 3 part patch to ct3 perhaps start the foundation in 3.1 then by 3.3 you have the full castle infront of you! progress its what makes the world go round!

Not happening...
At some point between our current state in Lineage, and the early stages of Lineage I, chronologically, the village of Gludin is burned to the ground by the dark elves.
I think all of the starter cities and noob villages should be renovated and brought back into relevance. I also think that a great cataclysmic event should befall all of the starter towns, thus forcing everyone to return to their homelands in order to save them.
Well if we're talking music, the Kamael village is the best in the game! Feels so grand and majestic. ^_^
After that would be the Orc village.
On topic though, Dion is one of my fav's. I really like the composition. It feels like a village made on the land as is, opposite to land composited to make a village, which is what most of the villages feel like.
Rune is also especially beautiful just for the sheer size. One of the few places that seems deeper than it is wide, which creates a fantastic sense of scale. In the first few months of playing I didn't even know there was a harbour at the bottom! Fantastic place...
People are nuts, Heine may be the prettiest city but it is THE most annoying city to get around in. Definitely not the best designed!
/agree
fill all the water in with concrete and it might not drive me insane trying to go from the GK to the shops

True true:)
Best designed city no doubt Rune: WH, GK, Grocery, Blacksmith in one square and subclass changing NPCs close to eachother and not far from GK too.
Worst: Except Heine probably Gludin: You have to run around all city to get from one point to another, and the main square is as big a in Giran or even bigger - without any purpose.
As for architecture, I like Aden, and old human cities (Gludin, Gludio,Dion) are just boring. Also Rune is fine for it's many "hidden" places, I like "secret" corridor between Pagan mirror and temple.
Heine Really?? i mean its lineage 2's version of Venice italy ... that may be poor design with the water ways but its probably the best looking out of every city/town in lineage! id be deeply disappointed seeing a change to Heine its the city by the water should look like it.
...concrete really... i mean jeez tell who lives in the city ;)
