If you have ++++top A helmet and gloves (I'm talking +6 or so) P Leather can actually work, but it's not 'that' much better than DC tbh and the attack speed is very nice indeed. Although a +++ masterwork A helmet and gloves might be a nice experiment for those crazy/rich/lucky enough ^_^.
Or you could go LolNightmare light for epic 3% vr...
When I hit C grade, I got a hold of a clan mate +6 PL set and did not look back. I used it on up until I hit S grade.
It is arguably the best melee grinding set out for the price.
And, You do not have to be Super Rich to make a set. You can buy the PL set at the Giran armor shop. Load up on EAC's and click away. Or for I think 50 mill on my server , buy your own set.
The Mdef is actually a touch higher then the Drac set. The negative is the pdef.
I did not bother with BW at B grade or DC/Maj at A grade. The goal for me was and is end game pvp. S grade and on. So, I did not have to waste time buying and re selling my A and B armor.
Just my 2 cents.
You need to focus on always upgrading the weapon. Focus your money there for leveling purposes. The higher the enchant on the weapon the less shots you have to spend on. This is a cost that often goes unnoticed. Everyone has prolly spent millions of adena just on shots if they are leveling deep into S grade. Remember to always get Focus or Crit Damage weapon when focus is not an option.
Alright thanks Kronk. Weapon isn't really a problem, as I can just have my berserker share with my sws who uses an IM focus. 50mil sounds cheap, much cheaper then DC light. I don't want to start another thread, but do you guys think it would be a good idea to add any tats that take away con if I go this route? Seems to me like it might be a bit much in terms of lowering my pdef.
Noob question: Do you only enchant the pieces of armor of the set that you need for the bonus? I.E. Body/Legs/Feet. Does it matter if I enchant the gloves and helmet, or should I even bother using PL gloves and helmet in C grade?

only the pieces required to get the set bonus need to be OE'd to +6 for the +6 bonus, so only the top bottom and boots yea. In C grade use common Full Plate helmet and drake gloves, as well as common jewels. I say common because no point in spending more money on C grade stuffs than necessary, you should be B grade soon enough.
