Well i have been banned for the dumbest reason ever!!!!!!!!!.I have used the same CC on the both my accounts numerous times.Now Ncsoft banned me as soon as I reactivate my accounts with the same cc i been using.I don't know what they want to do but i have not been given any reason what so ever as to why i have been banned. The cc is mine i have provided information to prove I am owner.I have been repeatedly caught up in mass Japanese I.P. bans.On top of all this most the time they just close my petetion 1 after another.I lose abou 3 to 7 days worth of game time fighting support to clear my name and when i am cleared of any wrong doing. I get no compinsation for my wasted days and now this cc ********.I have lost well over a month in game time for no reason at all.All this is with in a month or 2 of each other some times i get banned and un banned just to get banned 3 days later.Idont mined aving to deal with support every 6 months or so but on a regular basis no ty.Ncsoft support take way to long to to help their paying customer.I give up and i just hit lvl 79 on both my toons .i need just 6 more mill sp to get my uber lvl 79 skill on my dagger.

Well since Mitsu did not come back in here and explain their account was reopened I will have have to. You can not come on to the forums and raise a stink then leave it to rot and fester.
In the past his accounts have been banned because they came from a very similar IP range as a known bot proxy server and RMT service. His accounts were closed those previous times by 3 different senior game masters because during separate investigations into removing hundreds of account coming from this bad IP range. Because of this we have white listed his account. We have special routine that actually automatically unbans his account when it is closed for botting or adena selling.
This time his account was closed because the charge he made was flagged as fraud. This had nothing to do with game masters and nothing to do with any actions in the game. This was done for the protection of the card holder and the account owner. But since the information on the account and the credit card are different there was no way for us to realize the card holder and the account owner were the same person after a manual review of the auto flag.
Credit card fraud is a big deal in the MMO industry and after losing millions of dollars to CC fraud the checks are sort of tight. While I am sorry that Mitsu was struck by lightening 3 times then hit by the credit card bus, it is just bad luck.
His accounts are again re-open and he can play if he wishes. If he wishes to discuss this further, I recommend doing so directly with the billing department. We obviously can not defend ourselves or help him with billing issues here on the forums.
Is it just me, but under the new management - Spam, Omega, etc now have been given the green light to make the "listen here you whiny itch (but a "B" in front of it) here is what really happened and how it was dealt with, now shut the f up" posts.
Normally I'm one of the first to jump up and down at the GM's for explaining themselves (which they shouldn't have to do) but in times like this it's nice to know people are actually being given decent customer service.

Hmm, so I guess he can go about selling adena and botting and when banned by some mid level GM it will automatically be overturned. I know that quite a considerable amount of players on my server would <3 to be whitelisted (not me btw).

I think GM's could see if the account is whitelisted :) If there will be evidence of him doing smth against EULA that account may be reported and removed from whitelist.

I'm going to be traveling overseas to Japan to study abroad for about 6 months. I've been wondering if I would be able to log into my l2 account and the server I normally play on from an Asian IP address- since I know they play on different servers.
I was wondering how this works and if it's possible to log onto the NA/Euro servers from Japan/Asia. Anyone know anything about this?

Judging by the OP's troubles from having an asian IP I wouldn't bother even trying, unless being banned and having to fight with csr's for your account seems like a fun way to spend a week to you.
Being a retired Aviation Ordnanceman who worked on F-18's. I definatly feel his frustration of after a hard days work and wanting to relax and escape from reality for a while only to find out he is banned. I hope he doesn't quit and continues to play even though this issue may come up every now and then. I imagine he will have even more issues once his tour in Japan is over and comes back to the states and tries to play from a US IP. Might be headed for the same issues back here for a while.

was on holiday a couple of years back in Japan for a few weeks and I didnt have any problems to log into my accounts from there at the time... there is though still the problem that you might get hit by the regular mass-bans to accounts with IPs coming from that area... it shouldnt be a problem, but for the fact that every time you still got through the support stages to get it unbanned :S

I've gone through the support because of the 'fraud suspicion' problems when paying with credit card.. their final reply to me.. "get a new credit card"... not too helpfull tbh :(
