To me it was a very nice siege, no trashtalking or whatever, in all a good fight to all, so what exactly went bad in your opinion i can't seem to grasp.

That is what I do not understand... clans that sign up make it no secret they are going to be there.. there is going to be pvp.

I actully watched that seige and who in their right might would attack what was there, that was as bad as our suicide missions to shug castle seiges.. but give them credit for trying anyhow.

I still find it hard that everyone thinks its okay for a pve clan to own a pvp castle it puts you out there. cant be a neutral that way but then again this is a pve game right . . .

Whos says netrals cant and still be neutral as I said before WE,DWO,EoF held it and never had a war out of it all fun. And yes we had main pvp clans attack and all was good and fun. We continued to go back over and over.. Til hehe they grew big with friends and we laid on our backs more then upright .. OH besides we played the game who can get to the front gates.. Grats to TrippyJoe, Xbuster, and few others won hehe.

I thought the ppl left cuz they didnt like Nova or being forced to pvp oh well no harm there . PvP is all good but clans will get ****** if you whine about staying neutral but then ask help from others to defend yourself. These clans just defended their castle, you chose to attack. I assure you the (very) bad political moves have only been made on your part, by deciding to war everyone for no good reason.
Catalyst has returned war against TeamRestInPieces for the following reasons:
1. Defending Aden castle; directly aiding our enemies during siege hours.

Sieges are fun and yes I agree you can siege and be neutral. Some people just take **** way to personal its a freakin game. More clans at the sieges the better. Win some lose some, castles are temporary - main thing is have fun.

First of all it is everyone's right to declare a war for whatever reason and some rp is always welcome. Although not much of a pvper myself, this is mainly a pvp game, so a war is big part of the game.
Whether he can sustain this war or win it, is his own problem (and his clanmates). All4one is rdy for the fight and for the fun. And there is no reason for catalyst or PC or any other clan to interfere.
I consider it logical for a castle attacker to war the defending clan. If he thinks he has the numbers and the activity lvl required, he can demoralize the enemy, maybe make some people untag, so next time defence will be weaker. I don't think All4one can loose this war, but most of all I don't think the people in the alliance will untag.

It has been said that immitation is the greatest form of flattery, however I am thoroughly embarrassed by your inability to properly reproduce something more then a lackluster echo of what was originally stated.
Not only is it implausible that {RiP} would ever conceed a war, but it is downright absurd to believe that we should conceed to a protectorate of a feebleminded clan that is as numerous as the All4One alliance is.

With the King being absend at the moment noone knew if the Knights of the Phoenix should take aggressive action or not. After inviting the enemy on a honorable fight of both armies, we were displeased to find out they could not amass any decent forces to fight against us. I can't say if they were frightened or there are just too few of them.....
It was a long and boring waiting period. The mouths of the enemy had proven bigger than their actions.... We had hoped to fight in the honour of the Phoenix, but they were refusing to give us our fight. We were begining to accept the fact that noone would die on that day, friend or foe.
And then the bigmouth Hero of the enemy provided a challenge: 1v1 fight. They could not fight us due to our numbers, so their best soldier, their hero would fight against one of us. I was neither the best nor the most experienced Knight of the Phoenix. But I took the challenge. Me a Templar of Eve, fighting for the honour of the Knights of the Phoenix against an allmighty enemy Hero.
It was a short fight. My heart was trembling for the whole duration. And then suddenly it ended. The hero fell and I was standing. Almost unscratched. Not having called upon the mighty powers given to me by Eva. I was the winner! It was a good fight and I won. I could not believe it! I was sorry to hear the poor hero shouting about his loss.
The Phoenix had won for today. The next day may prove more honourable for our poor enemies..... But I must not allow any sentiment to infiltrate my heart. They asked for this war. They repeated that they will kill us even if we don't fight back. And they did. So they deserve to die. I will not pitty them. On second thought, I will allow myself just a little pity for them! :)

K here is the brunt of it if a clan has been told their castle has been wanted and that clan takes another so called neutral clan to help defend it, that so called neutral clan is no longer neutral. Where to start...To say this is just a game, naive! RL relationships are made and broken here. In that context, to attempt any portion of game play using less than honorable tactics will and should result in some sort of notice by all other players. It is entirely your prerogative to act as you wish. Did you approach us and say..just wana stir up things for interest..NO! Did you come to us and say..give me what you have earned and I will not war you..YES! Sounds like bully tactics to me. So we stand our ground and now you have somehow convinced some that you did some sort of righteous thing by laying down an ultimatum and then following through. HAHA. I think the people that agree with you are just sitting back going..whew..thankfully its not us he is doing this to...lol. " Nova Town " was intended to be a euphemism for server domination. Is not a judgement just an observation. When Bit and I came back to L2 most understood this philosophy( hunting spots on lockdown, every castle siege was wondering if nova gonna show up) I am just using Nova because they are most recent but you get the drift.

There are alot of clans that we have seige with and agaisnt and Never was wared or *** talked to when we did and people learn to have respect for them clans that have control, the pvp was awsome the dying was awsome no need for the rest of the crap that goes on. You just learn what you do right and wrong and improve next time to be able to take a castle, learn how some clans opperates, along with their toons and whos who in their clans...
It's more a matter of principle. PvE clans shouldn't hold castles is all. You have to prove you are willing and able to fight both on and off the siegefield to hold that castle. If you aren't willing to go through hell and back for it, through all of the rough patches in between, you really don't deserve to have it. Sayha isn't going to be a carebear server, castles can be very cut-throat. Like in the other thread about sieges being political.

I agree on the principle parts, but I disagree on the fact only pvp clans should hold castles.
As recent sieges have shown PVE clans can surprise you and even kick some behinds seriously. Yes politics are there and yes you know when you go to a siege as neutral you might get a war on your slate. What you do with that war goes with the principle the clan holds and that is a personal decision of each clan.
One may not like it if they stay idle, but it's also part of politics to stay, as soo many have stated before, neutral...To decide not to give anyone the easy way to reps and other stuff. If anyone thinks of it as being lame then that is their perogative, just like making the choice itself is theirs.
In the end it's a game we all log off from and the players behind it are still friends we talk to on msn or the phone or see in real life, talking about other stuff then LII.

Well guess some of us neutral clans proved that it can be and still is cool for us to have castles. I think it is how you handle things afterwards and during that makes the difference. Guess when the nuetral clans go in to get them castles they are not so carebear because they do ahve to fight for them and every two weeks fight to keep..
They are not handed to them that is for sure. So everyone who gets a castle pvps to get it.. So no different they deserve it too.

I would just like to comment about neutral clans being only PvE. I find this furthest from the truth, most of the neutral clans that we (EoF and DWO) associate with , if you flag on them, bully them , or grief them they will fight back, and many have the skills to PvP with most anyone. I think we need to draw a simple distinction between clans that don't like ganking, griefing, bullying, and the clans that enjoy those tactics.
When a clan wars us I rarely war back. One our size limits how many are on to put a PvP party together. Two there is an annoyance factor when you force them to go red on you. We have 90% rezers, clan luck, clan hall so our losses are minimal. I also have brez's by the dozens for our real high players if they want them. And also most of us are veterns of years of play dealing with clans like blaze, old catalyst, IC, First, and most of you can add lots of clans to the list. We know where to XP in peace and quiet. We know how to deal with the hassles and harrassment with hardly much discomfort.
We siege castles and if a clan wars us no biggy hardly anything will come of it and if it does we just deal with like we have for years. So most of this discussion is basically just drivel. Chest pounding, puffing one's self up like a hot air balloon, bloviating, posturing, and a lot of other synonyms that describe what we have been reading.
You say PvE clans can't have or hold castles. Well the simple truth is we do. And when those sieges start we are no longer PvE clans but we are PvP clans and show the spirit that it possesses.

LoF was a one point embroiled in it's own wars, I do still remember those days. In the present LoF has turned itself into a small and quiet place for the mst part, but that was not how it started, and that was not how it thrived. Indeed, I do recall the days of hero shouts looking for every member that was logged in, and I do recall those members taking on equal numbers and giving them a licking every here and there. Yes, a PvP clan can turn quiet and become a PvE clan, but don't confuse the chameleon pvp clan with the salamander pve clan.
One may change it's colours and hide well, but deep down it still holds that instinct to shoot when shot at. The fundamental PvE clan gets shot and bsoe's or runs to town.
Now granted there are some who deep down have that killer instinct and are within a PvE clan, so on the surface they may be labelled PvE players, when they are actually PvPers, but that doesn't change the fact that they are not the majority within their own clan. Within RP there are some PvPers, Kadez always gives it a go, as does Kadez, nikio11, and a scattering of others. They are the ones who are willing to fight, die, and tap to get back into the fight again. They don't cry about being caught without buffs, they don't scream "I was killing a mob" when they are ganked, and they aren't afraid to run out and try their hand at ganking their enemies either. Granted their lack of tactics greatly hampers their ability to locate war tags, but once they know where the enemy is, they will fight.
But then we have players (They are nameless here, but you know who you are) who get ganked and put up a fierce facade of words in global. They cry about how it wasn't fair, they had a mob on them. It wasn't fair, they were outnumbered. It wasn't fair, they had low hp. These same players given the opportunity to buff up will bsoe or log out, crying to the clan or alliance to rush to their location to ambush their challenger. They send pm's trying to taunt their killer to come back and fall into their trap, and when it doesn't work they resort to making false accusations to gather public sympathy for their case. Indeed there are a vast array of excuses and reasons why they were beaten. Some have even resorted to selling out the locations of their clan mates simply to be left alone to xp.
I have gotten off track however. PvE clans don't have the determination, the strength, or the knowhow to survive clan wars. Since clan wars stem from sieges (Argue all you want and say it doesn't happen, but blaze, old catalyst, IC, First, and most of you can add lots of clans to the list, have all done it in the past) and sieges are political. It just goes to show that PvP clans require a stronger sense of politics, a sturdier player, and a stronger mind, then PvE clans do.
There comes a point where numbers will always overcome skill, but when the crap hits the fan and changes need to be made no PvE clans ever stand up and leader the charge to set things straight. They sit in the background and complain. PvP clans are the ones who stand and take up the fight. They are the ones who recieve the highest praises, or the worst slanderous insults. But they are also the ones who bring the drama, the character, and the winds of change.

Question though is it really needed to war anyone that parties with them and buffs and heals ( if not in pvp)? They do need to stay out of the wars if they arrise while in party so if so with that said leave if it starts or stay and dont cry if you get killed. At your own risk I would say..
I remember First, when I was with them, ( did not agree with this one) if one memeber did one thing whether provoked or not to a First memeber the whole clan gets wared.. Kinda thought that was stupid.. Especially when all clans have at least one aggressive temper mentel emo clannie :)
The lies that some can tell just to start stuff is unreal in this game.. If you want pvp then do it right but to lie about the reasons is so childish. Why we say screenshot it.. I have so many on my puter i need to start deleting lol
Same thing goes for some others, you would get warred if you went into oly. Kinda stupid with all the inner clan feeding that goes on.. Mostly NCsofts fault though, so much needs to be rivised to make it fair in this game. but then again they would have to change the whole game wouldnt they ;)
Now on another note with the new patch coming out.. I think there will be more pvp with the territory battles. Not that some are doing that now or did do it. It sure will make interesting times. The same with the sieges on the same day will also make it interesting.

Truth be told, we all need the pvp practice. Siege is very different from everyday pvp. So for that practice we have to thank Darkfire. Otherwise a clan like RP and the All4one alliance would not have the chance, as we have a good leader, who has not let politics be a problem for this clan yet :)
The fact that RIP does not prove to be able to provide a war is a huge disappointment. All4one had parties in almost all end game areas, undisturbed by RIP. We also searched a lot to find some parties of RIP, but noone was out there. We even tried to challenge the ones sitting in Goddard, but nothing.
To be honest I don't get it. A single party with a hero in it, should be so uber, that should be able to take down much higher numbers of the enemy. Yet RIP refuses to fight even equal numbers.... I don't understand why they are so afraid....

4. At no point have we had live pvp with equal numbers from A4O, but we really don't mind. Our plans have all been going flawlessly thus far, granted I have been generous and told A4O 60% of the plans while we do them to see if they would pay attention, but they haven't been. The other 40% are special things we do to take extra rep, like going to "secret" xp places.
5. I don't think you really have put parties to look for us. I mean Catalyst doesn't have problems finding us, and there's less then 20 of them. Do you mean to tell me that out of the 100+ in the A4O alliance you can't manage to check regular pvp places for us? Come on now, I spent four hours in varka last night killing footmen and recruits. I went there at 9pm, and the only time I left was for 30 minutes to kill wartags in HS and on IoP. From 9pm-1am (EST) I sent PM's saying where I was to A4O members. I killed the footment in the field right next to the port so I could see who was comming if any of you ported to look (I won't lie, I was going to kill anybody who ported in as soon as I saw them. lol) But nobody ported out, nobody ran out from goddard to check. So please don't say your clan goes out looking for us and can't find us. Leaving town with 1-2 parties once or twice a day does not constitue "looking for {RiP}". I know A4O can do better then this. Try harder!

Being a member of the Gaia Alliance during the wars with Fob and during the wars with RR, I surely know very well what a war is. I am not much of a pvper myself (my class is mostly a support class and hardly a killer class), but I try to learn every chance I get.
I must admit your tactics worked, we got bored and now noone cares about the war. We kill you just when we find you in front of us :) I suppose you will go back to your grind at some point, you will have to, so we will see what happens then.....

That is one of the few truths in your post lol. What does not make sense, is when you have say 4 people sitting in your favourite place in Goddard and we invite you for a 4 against 4 you never accept...... Thus the fear, thus the no pvp for us:( Your tactic is that you fight only against people afk and against live people only when you outnumber the enemy a lot. Otherwise sit in town and wait. It might not be brave, it might not be couragous, you can call it cowardly and lolpvp, but it is your tactic and if it is effective for you, then what else can I say.....

Your views on sterotyping pve and pvp clans is flawed. Clans be can pve focused but still able to defend themselves. Many are better clans than the "pvp" clan that is rip, and by that right alone deserve a castle more.
Stop being sad/annoyed (I can think of less nice words to mean the same thing I think everyone knows what I mean) that you cannot get your clan a castle by sieging, and that your attempt to bully clans into leaving the siege has backfired this time. Nice try, unfortuately for you this time you choose the wrong clans to try and push around :p Our pve clans > your pvp clan, at pvp. Swallow that one.

While everybody else is debating the merits of different clan types in seiges, I'm working on an invention that will let any player in any clan sit at their computer uninterrupted for a full 2 - 3 hours and do whatever they want on the screen. It's almost complete, and I plan to soon start raking in the big bucks, at which point I will declare myself the winner of all seiges. :D

The monster race track is always a good place to take on people your own level, if you assemble them there.

We warred back alright and we are fighting back. Problem is RIP has too few members to provide a real war.
Things got complicated during the weekend with RR interfering in the war. I don't know if RIP asked for their help or they were just looking for some pvp. No war with RR yet, so I suppose it was the second.
Biggs, I did not hear anyone QQing here. The fact that some people disagree with your opinions does not mean they are crying. What I hear people saying is that if you want a castle, come and claim it! Stop QQing about neutral clans and pve clans owning castles and prove your pvp uberness on the siege battlefield.
BTW you claim All4one is neutral. And by neutral you mean it has not actively helped neither RR and co nor DW/Cata and co in pvp/epics etc.

I've always thought that pve clans had no business on the siege field, especially if they wanna stay pve only. There is always the possibility of being warred.
The term neutral on the other hand is when you dont participate in the pvp of the top clans that do the epic raids etc. You can still be a neutral pvp clan, as long as you have wars, you are just neutral to the "bigger picture".

Just means that someone was there before me... so your proof has been rejected... lol... you are good at this game of accusing one without real proof... On a side note today I won't be in Varkas all day due to the fact that I will be helping someones else level and I only have one account so... I will make sure that someone keeps an eye out for you in Varkas... Maybe they can have some fun with you...
On the other post if you read they drop to many arrows and wish that ncsoft would make other things drop more. I can see why some leave arrows on the ground. Just faster to just leave them and that does not prove botting... Now if you go hit them and kill steal or pick up drops then you would find out... at least how we find the ones who are..
Best way to find a bot is watch them for a while. Real people stop here and there, they talk sometimes, sometimes they pick up random things. Personally I either pick up everything, or nothing at all. It's such a hassle to pick out just the piles of adena when in a field full of arrows
I usually pick up everything and then either throw the arrows back on the ground as they are weighing me down. I make a nice pile of arrows and then when I am done in the area, go back to clan hall and drop them on the ground. That way the A grade archers will have a constant supply of arrows.
I sometimes do all the above too. Depends on where I am and what I am needing. pagans the same way ill pick up stuff and then put in corner so not to lag as much.. But yeah the watching is a good one too but sometimes depends on the mood about going and hitting to see if they respond... no use in killing dont get nothing out of it but red and sin eater lol

That being said, I personally really don't think it's splitting hairs to make the definition between neutral and independant. For one can't be neutral without being independant, but one can be independant without being neutral. No? lol. But honestly, it's not a big deal, it's been stated and restated so many times everybody who has followed the thread knows what all the posters mean by now.
But alas, this does seem to have run it's course. Short of Gwyddion not putting in any effort to make his post meet the expectations, I did have a good time writing up the responses.

Yes these posts have been fun.. definition in EoF and DivineTrinity Allinace is as follows we are not sided with any side at this moment. Independent, nuetral, carebear or anything else that is said out there is up to any clan that wants to call us what they want. We mainly do our own thing as we feel at the moment. Anything else just comes as it comes when we have the erge too do so or not. Raids, Seiges, leveling, killing bots, repeat and repeat.. all is fun grinding is not so much but hey have to if you want to gain..... :)
Yes I did have to post our definition too not that we have not stated it before... I think the main thing is everyone has their own opinon on what they see other clans to be whether or not it is what they see them selfs.
