which is best race for nuker?personelly i like SH but heroes that iv seen were most elves.what should i pick? And is elf good race for fighter?some of u guys would say "it depends on ur play style"im not sure....what would be fun class to play in elf race?
There is one hero for every class, regardless of which is "better", there will always be one hero of each.
If you want to be a nuker and don't have a second account to level an EE/SE on, then you need to go SH or necro or you'll end up spending 90% of your time whining on the forums instead of playing the game when you get higher level.
I'm pretty sure there are people who enjoy playing almost every elf class, you need to give some more details about what sort of classes you enjoy playing or have enjoyed playing in other games in the past. Melee fighter? Tank? Healer? Nuker?

u r right about every class have hero.n yes i have sec account .so i need buffer for lvling nuker?ok thx for the tips.n i wasnt trying to whine about it.i was trying to get some advices.but i thx for ur tips.i have lvl67 AW but im getting tired of it cuz its too hard to solo n hard to beat other fighter class in duel.im makeing gladi n im having fun on that class.im trying to make necro n SH as well.im looking for fun class but good at pvp as well.nuker or fighter doesnt matter.by the way i heard EE is pretty good AT PVP even beat gladi..is that true?
SH is best in many ways, as they have the best mana management and get the most mileage out of their mana. Where they are weak is in AoE, just something to be aware of.
That Nuker comparison is not that great, and innacurate in some places (even if only subtly).
Maybe we should do one here, and sticky it :P
Spellhowler:
Pro:
- Damage Per Mana is highest among Nukers.
- Best Sustained Damage Output
---- Best Mana Management (Clear Mind, Body to Mind)
---- Only Nuker with Two (2) Primary Nukes (Death Spike, Hurricane)
- Can Overhit (Non-Vortex)
- Surviveability Enhanced by [Corpse] Life-Draining Capabilities
- Fast Run Speed [For a Mystic Class]
- Curse Death Link
Cons:
- Terrible Stun Resistance
- Lowest Casting Speed among Elemental Nukers
- Lowest HP/CP Levels in the Game
- MP Regen, M.Def, are Low
- Carrying Capacity Crippled by their Low Constitution
- M.Crit Rate Lowest Among Elemental Nukers
Spellsinger:
Pro:
- Fastest Casting Speed among Elemental Nukers
---- Can almost Cap Casting Speed without any special gear
- MP Regen, Mana Pool, M.Def all high (Racially high MEN)
- Fastest Run Speed among Elemental Nukers
- Higher Base M.Crit Rate among Elemental Nukers (Highest WIT)
- Highest Burst DPS among Elemental Nukers
---- Due to their Fast Casting Speed and High Base Crit Rate
- Can Cancel Buffs
- Good Crowd Control Skills
- Many Stackable Slows
- A Variety of Area-of-Effect Magical Damage Skills
- Can Overhit (Non-Vortex)
Cons:
- Their Damage Per Mana is lowest among Nukers.
---- They have the lowest M.Atk among Nukers (Racially Low INT)
- Their MP Management Capabilities are limited
---- This is further augmented by their fast MP consumption due to thier C.Spd
---- The best way to combat this involves constant overhitting (SP issues)
Sorcerer:
Pro:
- Highest HP, Carrying Capacity, HP Regen among Elemental Nukers
- Good Crowd Control Skills
- Can Cancel Buffs
- Best Area-of-Effect Capabilities among Elemental Nukers
- Their Offensive Stats are balanced
- Best Stun Resistance among Elemental Nukers
Cons:
- Cannot Overhit
- Only One Vortex (Vortex can Overhit)
- Limited MP Management Capabilities
- Slowest Run Speed in the Game [re: Necromancer]
* Some see the Sorc's primary element and lack of overhit as a
detriment, but this can work in their favor in terms of itemization.
They lose nothing when they attribute their weapon for an element,
because they only have one element to attribute for.
Necromancer:
*** Necromancer is a hybrid class. Nuker + Summoner, but excelling
in neither sub-archetype.
Pros:
- Most likely the most versatile class in the game, can be played
exclusively in many different ways.
- More debuffs than you can shake a stick at.
---- Gloom > Surrender.
---- Very large variety of debuff, many of which are seen as IMBA
- Death Spike: Lowest MP-Cost Nuke in the Game, shared with SH
---- Costs a Cursed Bone each cast (360a and some weight in inventory)
- Good Crowd Control Skills
- Highest HP, Carrying Capacity, HP Regen among the Elemental Nukers
---- Necro isn't an elemental nuker, but for the sake of simplicity...
- Servitors: Cursed, Reanimated, and Corrupted Man
---- Cursed Man is most offensively balanced servitor in the game.
- Their offensive stats are balanced
- Highest Debuff Landrate Amond Mytic Classes (due to Curse Gloom)
- Very good [Corpse] Life Draining Capabilities
- Best Stun Resistsance among Elemental Nukers
- Curse Death Link
- Body to Mind
Con:
- Cost. Everything seems to cost Something on a Necro.
---- Servitors are Expensive to Maintain. Crystal/Shot costs are high.
---- Versatility comes at a price...
- Slowest Run Speed in the game [re: Sorcerer]
- Their Primary Vortex is a drain. This = slow cast speed, long reuse.
- Everyone thinks they are not a balanced class [read: OverPowered]
---- Nerfs should be expected, as people QQ more and more.
- Hard class to master
---- At least when people learn to properly gear themselves out...
- They are one of the most landrate-dependent classes in the game
---- They require a lot of XP/SP to keep up to par
Something that must be said: Due to the fact that itemization in Lineage II is
largely Dynamic (Armor/Weapon OE, SA, etc.), it is possible for these things to
be untrue when a specific character is examined. These are general points, and
not meant to apply to everyone equally due to game mechanics. These
observations are based mostly on racial balance and stock itemization.
Feel free to give thoughts, and it can be edited for reference [for new players, and rerollers/subbers].
A trick for SPS (cause I mentioned this in the SPS CON section under MP Management). Overhitting every MOB can actually increase your MP efficiency... If you level up through the right places, you can actually save lots of MP over a grind session by overhitting every MOB using Flare and Spark, even compared to using 4 Hydro Blasts (no overhits at all).
The casting order is a 4 nuke sequence (and two MOB kills in total). Skill costs are as follows:
Hydro Blast: 69 MP
Solar Flare: 85 MP
Solar Spark: 38 MP
* Two Flare overhits are not really practical due to the long reuse timer on the individual skills.
Alternating them is the only way to kill without any factorable pause (if any at all, depending on
buffs).
This works really well in areas with Sacred-Weak MOBs. It is most effective at higher levels.
It will really mess up your SP, but it can really save you Time and Adena (MP Pots? :P ) on this high MP consumption class. At a 25 MOB/Minute kill rate you can save ~188 MP/Minute :) Forest of the Dead (at Vamp Camp) is a great place to do this (the small Vampire Warriors and the Green Golems in the groups can be 2 shot with Hydro + Spark).
With that 4 nuke sequence you save almost as much Mana (15) as a Sorc gets back from Body to Mind 1 (21 or so), except you don't have to cast a seperate skill (on top of Clear Mind passive and Mana Regeneration Buff).
It would work for SH, also, but Sacred Weak is much more common than Dark Weak. Given that, SH will only be able to consistently outperform that if they use Death Spike (H+DS+H+DS, H+H+DS+DS, or H+H+H+DS) and deal with the Cursed Bone Cost. Necro have no choice but to Death Spike (so they avoid Dark Resist), and Sorc has no Overhits so has to deal with a flat 69*4 rate.
UncleTom a Necro or SH can start CDLing at level 52 which makes them both the cheapest Nukers in the game as long as they're leveling that way. Just have to know how to CDL, and pick your spots well. You can even 2 shot CDL without BSPS to save money if you want. It cost the same as most main nukes (69 MP).
Also, I do not like the tags "PvP" and "PvE" added to classes. Every class in this game is a PvP class, just in a different way/capacity. I think it is somewhat demoralizing to a class when you call it a "PvE class" in a "PvP game."

Can any other nuker beat EE/ES in open pvp or oly? I don't think so. Therefore the best nuker in game is EE/EvaSaint.
<3 L2 dev team. they always know how to overpower certain class.

Inquisitor is getting nerfed next update, but I think any type of nuke stance should have been banned in Olympiad. Inquisitor is not an Eva's Saint, IMO.
And no, they are not Nukers. Olympiad is not the entire game.
Inquisitor will be LOL outside of Olympiad next update :P

True but risky. No matter how well you choose the spot you die. Often.

The PVP/PVE has nothing in common with the demoralizing/not demoralizing. The SH has the huge advantage of elemental nukes and the AOE nukes - providing you have the party to use it. But in PVP it dies even when someone looks at it. Not that the necro doesn't die too but it still has much better chances and at 1x1 fight it rules.

Umm the reuse delay will still be 1 sec or so, OMG lineage 2 is like most games now where support classes can actually do some sort of damage even if its not that great. you obviously have never played a healer /eyeroll
By your logic everyone should just bot healers behind them because they should be mindless heal spam drones which most of us don't mind doing but its nice to have a damage dealing option there for some situational pvp and solo
Try LFG for few hours on lineage as a healer also and tell me how awesome it is please

same thing...only added the cost with necromancers...although that should be included with the several threads about how expensive necromancers are with bsps and bones and crystals and beast shots/bsps. But with power comes cost so... manor, craft ss and sell, buy low sell high, cubics into enchants, level pets and sell them improved, etc.
also editted the comparison change, and will edit again between PTS launch and live launch with the changes in reuse, death spike animation and etc.
so i need buffer for lvling nuker?ok thx for the tips.
lol....Wrong!!! you dont NEED a 2nd account buff-box to lvl a nuker.
its just that most people are too stuck up on NEEDING to get 76+ in 3 weeks so they say I NEED MY BUFFER!!!...lol
& yes I have a lvl 76+ nuker...& no...I dont have a 2nd account. :)
True but risky. No matter how well you choose the spot you die. Often.
Untrue.
52-56/8: Cemetary Orcs - They're trivial to CDL (1 shotted)
60-72: Valley of Saints - Start at the front, then move from spot to spot that has little group MOBs.
There if you go through the "cave" across from the spot where you zone in, there is a field behind it that is good at lower levels. If you take a left and run through that field, there is a spot before the bridge to the right that is even better than the entrance to that field (first statement in this paragraph).
When those are getting to be low level, you move up that bridge I just mentioned, into the tunnel and run through the invisible wall to the right. There's a pit that is good. There are group MOBs in it, but after you kill them a couple times they should spawn out of the way. The pit is HUGE, and usually no one levels there. With Acumen/Emp/Zerk/WW you should be able to run around the whole thing and 1 shot most of the MOBs.
When you've outleveled that spot, you can go up to the higher level areas and CDL. Two spots have no group MOBs. One up the ramp from the "middle" field, and one up the ramp between that - which is on the same level as Barakiel's cave. You can CDL there until 72.
The only time you can die is if you have bad buffs and try to CDL group MOBs (if you can't 1 shot them, don't touch em, obviously...), if you computer is bad and you're CDLing on Lower Detail (you won't see MOBs standing next to/behind others lots of time and will draw Agro from Blade/Punishment/Wailing shadowsteppers, or are just dumb TBH.
72-74 you need to XP at like FoTD (at the front) because there aren't many good spots. From 74-78 you can CDL at Hot Springs Tents which is probably the most trivial CDL spot in the game.
CDL doesn't let you be lazy while leveling. If you're lazy you will die a lot (deservedly). However, dying a lot is not part of CDLing. The whole point of CDLing is to not die. That's why you level at minimal HP levels... With the Assumption that you will be able to kill all mobs before they touch you!
The PVP/PVE has nothing in common with the demoralizing/not demoralizing. The SH has the huge advantage of elemental nukes and the AOE nukes - providing you have the party to use it. StSc with 150 Wind Weapons can nuke you for over 3k if you don't have Wind Attribute on S Set.
They're called Glass Cannons for a reason. Classes that do such damage should not have high surviveability.

Necro is not that expensive. It's more expensive than the others but I think you are overweighing the expenses :P
You should make enough money leveling to cover the costs of soloing with Death Spike (especially once you move to VoS) and in a party (using a servitor) you don't have to throw out many nukes anyways.
Why nuke IT MOBs for 900 when your servitor is critting for 8k [for example]?
You will have to excuse all the morons that keep saying necros are expencive. They are just very bad at making money. Once in A-grade you can only lose money deathspiking if you lack intelligence.
Lets call it "mother nature weeding out the bad ones".
Necro is among the top 5 money makers in game actually.

For new players, (especially those who don't know about the economics of L2) It is expensive, just leveling with bsps alone with decent gear is already top notch expensive for them, but adding all that extra is overkill. You are taking it from your perspective, you of course you have the money to do whatever type of leveling you please just because we've played this game for 5 years, and know how to make money and do everything and etc. etc. but a guy who just joined yesterday, will even still be wondering why his only nuke at 40 is a high mp costing, longer reuse drain and everyone else get pretty little nukes.
Remember most our the new players now a days come from games like WoW or no MMO at all, and starting off with a class like this is going to destroy them... And I guess some, like shown above, who are givenand overhaul of methods to raise money over cost, can't take it all in and quit...
And of course...with your mindset right now...and guy can reroll from his S grade, or sub a necromancer and automatically know that you can make 90% more adena per level by hunting with a corrupted man and just using a d crys per 20min and beast shots with OOP support in some multi HP mob area, or when 52, can stop using deathspike and CDL in cemetary or something, or use your +12 top b weapon and kill pinks and reds at VoS at 56 for more in drops/adena, than cost of bspsb and bones
