Inflation & Franz

I'll talk about Franz.Don't know about other servers.

January 2008 the prices were:crystall stage 13:150kk,doom la set 25kk,dc robe set 90kk

Autumn of the same year:crystall stage 13:450kk,doom la set 150kk,dc robe set 350kk

At the moment the prices are almost the same as they were in autumn.

What's happening? a specific group/tema of farmers make whatever they want or less population and common items lead us here?

P.S.:Imagine a new player, with 40k adena in his inventory,tp to Giran, and see the shops there...I would quit the game.
Soul Crystal prices went up because NCsoft decided that 9 crystals per party is too much.... So they changed that only 1/2 lucky ppl would get cry up...

The cost of items on Luna (and every other servers) is directly related to the value of adena at the adena selling sites. It always has and probably always will be. The cost of a DC robe set cost the same RL $ on Luna as it does on every other server. Go check it out. It sucks but those adena farmers/sellers are deeply entrenched into the economy.
hahahahaha inflation on the 2 newest servers thats really funny

tell u what u earned what u seeded

game isnt concepted to allow massive amounts of mats flooding the market thats the concept of inflation

in my opinion thtey should lock luna/franz transfers so the rats cant leave the sinking ship at al
thats the result of a 99% botting server live with it kind of funny that u guys swim in ur own dumb now

btw the fairytale of adena dupe wast real or were the screenshots a fake /sarcasm/?
There is a Franz forum for discussion about Franz.
Elvis got it exactly right. The economy on each server is directly related to the Adena value in real world currency. So if you look around and Adena is really cheap onyour server then that means in game items will be really expensive. It also means that your server needs a really good bann hammer because there way to many RMT farmers collecting Adena for sale. Until then the only way to combat it is to get what you need yourself or with your clan.
What you mean is that its directly related to the inflation of the adena market, right?

Which is in turn what directly affects the $$prices of adena.

Either way, theres still only 1 source

Actually it inversly related to the Adena market. The more adena that is available the higher the prices. Just like real world the more currency there is the less it is worth. I usually relate Adena value to AA value it's a pretty good indicator. Last year AA was 2 aden ea right now AA is going for around 7Adena per AA. This doesn't work after huge bans because so much AA usually get caught in the banns but when you hae hundreds of million for sell in giran at 7 adena ea it means there is tons of Adena on the secondary market and it's value is down. The only way for the RMT to keep the RL money coming at the same rate is to raise the price on in game items so more players will have to purchase more adena. So the cycle continues.
... So the more adena that there is, the higher the $$price of adena is?

Is that what you're trying to say? Cuz that is incorrect, its the opposite effect actually..

No thats not what im saying. The more adena that is available the cheaper it is in the secondary market. Meaning it costs less to by adena with real life money.

In turn in game items cost more adena because the Adena is worth less in real world value.

The RMT's make less money selling Adena becuase it's cheaper, so they raise the price of items in game. This means they get more adena back from the people who buy thier items. Giving them more adena to sell on the real world market. It's a cycle that will only get worse.

If all the Adena in the system held by RMT's disappeared tomorrow prices wouldn't nessacarily drop the next day, but as items set without selling the sellers would eventually lower the prices to match the availability of adena.

The only issue we have right now is that there are items in game that are suppose to be realy rare and hard to get. With bot groups farming the stuff 24/7 they are easily available and many people have them, I'm talking about S80 stuff. If all the bots and farmers were banned and all the stuff they have disappeared it would be pretty devistating for the people who don't have it yet. This would make this stuff realy rare again and the prices would sky rocket. Only because to many already have it making it a requirement to have to move up in game.

It's pretty much to the point now that if L2 actually removed all the RMT and bots from game it would pretty much crash market in turn killing the game, or they would have to reset and start all over. IMO NcSoft has gotten themself into a pickel with RMT and really tied thier own hands.
It's pretty much the same on all euro servers, the servers are flooded with money and that drives in game item prices up and RMT real money prices for adena down. It's not necessarily RMTs selling their items expensive, regular players drive prices up too. If it costs them the same amount of RL money to get 1 billion adena today that it cost them to get 100 m adena last year the players are today willing to pay 1 billion to buy something that cost 100m a year ago.

NCsoft lost this particular war 3 chronicles ago, nothing much it can do now. Personally I can't figure out why or how new players even cope with this game and it's economy. And Gracia final with 99b inventories is probably going to kill this off completely.
New players can still be somewhat competitive in PvsE with common items.

They will not have enough Adena to buy good equipment (unless they get real lucky in OEing stuff) so that they can be competitive in PvsP.
Unfortunitly they don't stand much of a chance against those that use 3rd party programs anyways so its a bit of a moot point.

You must remember though that NC changed the game to cater to the farmer/botters so its not like they lost control...it's where they designed the game to go.

The only reason real players are charging the same as RMT is so they have enough for thier own upgrades. If the RMT Adena supply went away prices would drop because there just wouldn't be enough aden in game to pay the prices we have now. Real players will only charge the max that will still sell. You can see it now RMT sellers have everything at max price and you see it day after day, however if you search around for bargans most reall players will make a deal (and some times quite good deals) to get rid of thier item/s.
