Hello :)
Every now and then when I play Lineage I still stumble upon things that I dident know about even though I have played the game for a very long time.
Would be fun if we could share the small things that make you go, I did not know that!
Here is some from the top of my head.
- at lvl 40 the newbie haste buff goes from lvl 1 to 2, seen many people still use GSAP ( Greater swift attack potion ) after lvl 40.
- You can drag out the HP bar for monster, I have no clue how this eluded me.
- Instead of using a scroll of escape when going out from a kamaloka area just relogg saves you adena. was nice when one knew about this :D
- Elpys dont attack other Elpys/keltirs on Talking island even if you use the Warcryer skill "madness" on it.

Elpies don't attack anyone, they can only run away. Also, Elpies are one of those few mobs in the game you can jump over by running (sometimes there also are invisible quest "bumps" on Fantasy Island, but you don't jump as high on them).
One of my main characters has always been a healer. Back in the day (priv beta/prelude) I was one of the first Elven Elders on the Sieghardt server and back then... I needed a bit of help (seeing as this was my first fighting MMO).
I was in a PVP one day and I was healing the people in my party and one died and started yelling I didn't heal them. I said - "I couldn't target you inside all the people!" and then he went on yelling something inaudible and probably something I can't type here... Needless to say that was the day I learned you could click names in the party line up ^_^
I only found out last week that you don't need to redo sub quest to start a 2nd sub. I'd been put off doing this for ages because I could not face all the hanging around for cabrio/TOI bosses/getting bloody fabric again. You live and learn :D
When doing the bloody fabric quest to see bauim and you are looking for the box up by Dark Elf village you can run off the top of one mountain and glitch. This glitch lets you run across the air to get to the box on another mountain, but then fall and lose all but 1 hp at the box. Worth it! I might have to see if I still have screenies of it since I have done it several times.
You can now teleport up to the 2nd floor of cruma tower at the entrance. Learned that one recently and was dissapointed. I miss the old CT days.
Combo buffs. I thought they were only available for noblesse to learn so didnt try to find them for my EE for 3 months. When asked why I didnt have them I would say oh she hasnt even subclassed yet. Doh!!
Well i always was a noob and still am :o
But lately i just didn't know mammon BS erases SA for free wile in town the black market dude charges AA (wasted 110k AA ::( to erase a B wep SA just acople of days a go)
I also didn't know that awakening skill on fenrin is badly described on all fun sites and it is self buffed not party buff - a bit of a disappointment when i found out.
I also never knew holy weapon is party only buf :o T_T
Ohhh and the elpy thing is just .....wow, who in hell spends time to observe elpy behavior ?

- kamaels don't blink (but have good made fingers)
- In HS there's a place in the upper area where a certain position of the camera makes all the skill bars, menus, buffs dissapear. They appear again when you move it back. It's fun to play with it ^^
- If you have a fenrir which is higher (19 levels above you) you can send it to attack, it will steal a lot of exp though, but it will attack normally... However, if you ride it, it will go awfully slow.

Oh... I didn't know the blackmarket guy could do that :x
I always been to mammon. :o
HAHA no I just 10 minutes ago removed a SA on a kesh in giran.
I only recently learned a lot of the shortcuts.
1. ALT+ H (removes all windows and menus for more scenic screenshots)
2. There is a glitch at the entrance of the Ant's Nest where the cemera rapidly swithcs angles until you pass through it, then it returns to normal.
3. If you're a Gladiator, and you try and use a skill that requires focus' and you spend the MP, but the skill doesn't go off, you'll get a messege saying "not enough luck". That means you're focus' faded just as you used the skill. >.<
4. Before the update where they made the "map" of each newbie village a physical item in the town, you used to be able to jump off the bridge in the DE village and fall down near he giant statue of Shillen in that big empty pit and watch yourself fall like a million times.
5. It is impossible to make an Elpy attack you, or any other player, mob, or NPC in the game.
6. You can have a wolf use its "pick up item" skill to get an Herb of Doubt and have a huuuuuuuge head
just learned today u can put soulshots in ur shortcut bar and right click it for automatic use instead of clicking them from ur inventory one by one before each attack....i been playing 1 year....
I always had a horrible horrible time finding people in Giran and did not know till other night if you /target someone then /target them agian you will auto run to them, I was like OMG >_<

Or you can just /target them and /attack so you don't have to type their name out all over again. I do that for the gatekeeper, since there's always so many shops around her. /target Clarissa /attack (or just press attack if it's on a hotbar.)

Actually one can jam one self stuck in a wall and then write /target name of the shop and attack and you will see the content of the shop with out moving you just have to wait the time "it should" have taken him to get there. :D
did you know
if you stand in the middle of giran and type /target randolf you get easy access to your WH through a wall?
And /target helvetia for grocery shop.
If you spend your early 70s in FoD you level fast with great xp, but if you level in Varka you will xp slower but end up with some where between 1.8x and 2.3x the SP.
It also works on a pet cougar. But it does not work on a pet kookaburra for some reason. :(
Because of philosophic reasons. Should the herb of doubt grow both heads or just one of them? And if only one which one? And wouldn't be unfair for the other head that he didn't grow? If it grows just 1 wouldn't the bird equilibrium be affected? And how will he manage to fly with a big head? And should it be like only half the time or full time head grow if it grows both of them?
A lot of unsolved questions so no herbs of doubt for kokubura:p
I did not know that king of vampire was only for 30 secs with a reuse time of like 3 mins :p
doesn't sound like a good lv 83 skill to work up for but its got a nice pic? XD

Looks like an evolved kooka.. :p
yup hence my reasoning that some translation screw up over in korea means we now have mobs/pets named kookaburra when they should be called Dodo
As said by Nanashi_Naomhan in another post and it seem some dont know, is that you can if you hold in shift while trying to target you will not move if you misclick

lol, that's pretty cool. I didn't know that indeed..
I remember the huge dissapointment when I realized that TH and BH classes got their names mixed up by freakin Koreans! (Treasure Hunter as the name says for itself should be a small d0rf diggin up the ground while Bounty Hunters should hunt peoples instead :P) <3 asian english skillz :*

hehe I thought TH got their name because of their thief skills and been able to unluck chests and doors ^^
I remember me going to Sea of Spores for a quest and XP was good and decided to stay there and out of the sudden this huge thing put his leggy on front of my screen and scare the -.- out me and I started running for my life and after I died I had to step out of my PC because my heart was ready to pop out from my chest. I never went back there anymore. That was late 30sh earlier 40sh If I am not mistaken. I was new to the game probably playing for about 4-5 months back then.
That does indeed work, just tried it on the PTS :) AND if you close it because it's huge and annoying and open it again, it still works
Hahaha awesome. Always cool to find 'useful' bugs like that. Especially since I don't have a HB map.
BTW, I'm an Australian and yeah it's ALWAYS annoyed me that what L2 calls a kookaburra is ... nothing at all like one. Kookaburras are just regular (and relatively common) birds. I hear them around my house frequently.
There is a spot near Elven Village where you can use a SoE and get teleported to Oren.
There is also a spot near Oren where you can SoE and get teleported to Elven Village (or Dark Elven Village if you are a DE). It's literally only a few pixels wide though so you have to use the /loc to confirm before you do it. Nearby to that spot is a place where you can do an Oren->Dion SOE as well. Back when I was noob and teleporting was comparatively expensive I used these spots sooo much. And NOONE else I talked to knew about them. It was like my little secret hehe.

It is like when you realize that you are standing on wrong side of Skylancer hill after raid and EE start Party Return :-D
You can click on someones name in the chat window and it automatically starts a pm to them,
"name
or you can click on their name, left arrow to the begining in front of thier name, type /invite and erase the " if they have a difficult name to spell for invites.
Works on all types of chat, local, hero, clan, etc.
