Orc Mage Mp regeneration

What you think people about this? We'll have vampiric rage(for mp) as a race ability, ant it's same powerful than normal vr(hp)
I think this is really nice for us, but i think this will be nerfed at the next throne for sure...because ncsoft wont let us have almost unlimited mp.
Anyway, this is the best improvement on Orc mage's even done, and we will be able to solo using skills(not just soul cry).
The best way to solo until now was to activate soul cry next to the mob, kill it, ant then deactivate soul cry, for recharge a little bit of mp. bit, bit, bit--->mp for rebuff :P now we will solo with const soul cry and skills like drain for heal ourselves.

put here your opinion about this new amazing ability, and pray it's not nerfed soon xD
It's so powerfull you can leave soul cry on, heal, buff , nuke spam attack skills.

Infinite mana is nice :) doubt it will get nerfed though don't worry NCsoft adores orcs and wants people to play them

They probaly LOL at people still making SE's and prophets over coffee
Well, it was not nerfed for pp (who already have it for a whole expansion), but that is probably because nobody actually plays a live prophet (hitting mobs) anymore. It is a **** nice skill - it even works on NPC (or on a summonable christmas tree) :D
hahaha sure we will see orcs in city hitting npcs for buff their party between pvp and pvp hahaha :P
i hope u are right, dont want it to be nerfed, cause we have had problems with mp all time we have played, and we can now be a perfect assistant :D

No this one is crazy every time you hit a mob you gain MP like having vampiric rage, On my doomcryer on pts I get little over 100 mana per swing 300+ on crits

PP you have chance you gain it when you hit something but not every swing
Does this skill work with skills? In other words can I drain drain drain and pull mp with it? If so, PVP will never be the same....:):):)

lol, then it is definitely better than the pp one (which gives a static 50something mp when it fires)
go through giran and hit some npc`s and we have mana ;] weeee ;]

happy ofc it doesnt does norman vr work on skills/ranged attack?
If this skill remains, it will change deeply the orc mage race. We'll be able to solo spamming skills and buffs, but most of all wearing light or heavy armor. My DC soloed on IoP with dynasty light (enchanter version) and I killed without problem (using a mage blunt, not even a fighter's), sometimes having 2-3 mobs on me, without my MP making a dent.
This new skill might bring 2 major changes in orc mages setup:

1) The replacement of robes from light armor. Especially on Dynasty set levels, were both light and robes exist for enchanter, I believe light outperforms robes. On 83 level (no dyes), robes had around 1000 MP and 10% casting speed more than light, but light had much better Pdef (survivability) and great MP regen rate. Since casting speed is no longer affecting reuse, I believe that light might become a better option (unless mana pool is a necessity due to lack of buffers)
2) The replacement of dagger (as a main DD weapon) from blunt. Using the 2 DD skills (hammer crush, burning chop) without mana concerns and normal swings with better accuracy might outperform the use of dagger and it's excellent crit rate.

I hope for some opinions about these two trends.

As for our Dominator cousins, I imagine they will go berserk soloing with seals without fear of runiung out of mana :)
Let's see if use blunt is better than dagger, but we cant see this in pts. we need have gracia final fixed on our true lvl and do some parties for testing this theory

:D so happy about this improvement!
As a domi myself this is how i gonna change :

- Robe will remain. Because even if it doesn't influence reuse delay anymore, it does influence casting speed, and i'll still need to cast fast on pvp for heals/cp/buffs/drain/sleep...
++ casting speed = -- chance to break my cast.
Same goes for some aoe pole xp, since the MA set got a nice M attack bonus.

- Light will be xp set. For lil groups or solo.
I already did that and it worked fine. But now it will be awesome !

- Weapons :
In my case, never a blunt will replace a dagger. Because if you miss more with dagger, you hit more too and you crit more too. hit faster + crit more often = ++ mp vr.
I'll not really use burning chop, and when i'll do, i'll just swap to my AM 150 fire.
I'll prolly change my mind when i'll hit lvl 83.. but it's not for tomorrow ^^

I'll get a S grade pole. imagine in pole parties (witch i practiced during all my lvls): puller arrive with the train, swing twice, then with AM i seal the train, change to Spear and in 3 swings max i get back my mp !
It will make my party more comfy, and more fun for me, since i'll not have to sit each time or share the recharger with the bishop.
its muuuuuuuuuuuuch stronger than pp version
pp version isnt vr at all, its just chance to get 59mp on normal hit (no crit, 60+ dmg only, chance 15% my guess)
wc/ol get true MP VR what PPs wished for for chronicles when wcs had never so huge mp problems as pps always had...but who cares, ncsfot likes wcs not pps...
Tell me this is real Nina.
Tell me this is real Nina.
This is, my orc brother !
Tested and approoved !

We are no more overlords.. we are OverLoved !
Pa'agrio (and nc soft) blessed us. <3
Ohhh i didnt think about trains being OL, it will be nice, but i'm DC >.<
well, this is going to transform our playing style dramatically. +1 point for NC:)
If it works as well as I hope (and so far everyone seems to say so), it will be awesome for us Orcs mage. Especially for OL's.

No need to drop the robe (cast. speed is just too important to have), but no need to get soulguard off. we'll basically have robes with pdef. equal that of a heavy at all time.

All of a sudden, we're becoming soloable in zones where it used to be a pain to go alone. Add to that the ability to buff in party, and solo /duo will likely get us to lvl at a much faster pace than what was previously possible.
i tried enchanter leather set. go with robes. the p. def might not be bad for solo/duo but i still prefer robes, the mp goes down fast in pvp anyway. even tho i can just kill some guards/npcs to have it at high lvl again this is soooo good.
This + Combo Buffs on OL = Heaven. I cannot wait. I should not have a hard time getting it to 75/76 with this chancge :P

++ casting speed = -- chance to break my cast.

What I am saying is: does 10% more casting speed worth much less Pdef? I'd say not but that is objective of course. The fact that might be more important for OL is probably mana pool which is not so important for WC (we only buff, no CP/HP heals or seals). So it is possible that OL will keep their robes while WC might switch.

That is certain!

It is not only blunt vs dagger. It is blunt and skill spamming (w/o mana issues) vs dagger. The thing is: Will a fighter's blunt with 150 fire damage with chain use of hammer crush and burning chop balance the damage vs a dagger with any 150 element (but no skills to use with)? Each skill outputs considerable damage and burning chop has also a DoT effect. This is where some more testing is needed.

Dont forget Mage Blunts have higher Matk then a dagger.

So sleeps should land better
Fears same thing
drains same thing aura drain as well

Dagger leaves you in a robe for sure since you have no option for Mana-up or Conversion.

I use a blunt on my 73 WC and with this New change I highly doubt i'll trade it in for an lol dagger, but I might decide with doing more robe usage
since I have 4.4k mp un-buffed with robes and my blunt. One last thing you don't need crits when freezing land. Which lands well with a Mage blunt and not so well with dagger.

Dunno I love my blunt won't trade it in for anything not for a chance to crit with all the skill I can count on more a rely on, can't do that with a chance to crit

Either way love my blunt, love my stuns and other d-buffs that land often from more Matk.

SO to each thier own I just don't think my backstab will ever land thats all :D oh wait it's a WC

I might do HVY more on this update not sure yet since it's situational....
they hate us, dont forget this. Ppagrio see our troubls and help sometime, but those ****ed demons NC nerf this every time when see how shamans feel self better
they fix this in week or month after start normal F.G. :/
I've been trying to solo in ketra with s80 blunt and s80 dagger, and this is what i had feel:

Dagger: Kill fast, flame whith a lower chance.
blunt: Kill slowly but with stun+flame+burning chop.

So after this, i think dagger is better for both vr's, but if you want to solo in a stun area, you should use blunt, because you stun the enemy and avoid to be stunned at the same time. with other weapon that is not much better than be in hot springs :P all day stunned.

Conclusion: weapon use depend on area we want to xp
OMG!!! can this be real??? 3 years I have played this OL, and it has been such a pain in my green *****. I cant find the specifics of all this talk, where do I look?
Don't wake me from this dream..... infinite MP?!?!. outside clan party buffs???, what could be better?

I think Varka is better for melee than Ketra is.

That is why Varka has 150 bots in it, and Ketra has none (at least on Bartz).

My Necro is Varka Allied (Kill Ketra), and I want to ally my OL with Ketra (to Kill Varka), but with as many bots as there are in Varka I will just end up getting PK'd over and over by other live players who are scrounging for the few [horrible] spots that are left over...

Gracia final PTS, soon to go live...

What is this skill burning chop? I have been seeing it lately in the forums but it is not available to me when I go to the Orc Mage and get new skills. How do I acquire this skill? I am a lvl 72 WC
I got it in PTS just saying learn all skills...
it's at lvl 40, and it's like a bleed with blunt.
It have a little weaker than freezing flame, but it will be really useful for another lvl 83 skill, which needs use of burning chop for activate it ;P
What is this mp regen skill called and is there an amulet required?
What is this mp regen skill called and is there an amulet required?

It's a new built in passive from lvl1 for orc mages.
Maybe I'm blind or am just not reading correctly but I don't see it in my passive skills.

It's not in the passive menu, but it's been stated in the patch notes.

The ability to regain a certain amount of MP has been added to Orc Mages.
gives 10% mp back from damage (hit for 1k u get back 100mp)
