Zerker is "pure" DD while SB is combo dd/nuker.

Depends on what you are fighting, what skills are used, and user skills. Tend to lean towards Zerker though.

Yes, they use both magic and melee.

Pretty much, key to it tho is you have to get far enough away to use it.

to answer this I suggest you watch this video. He's a Doombringer (3rd class change for Zerk)
and as for souls, you get skills to "summon" them or sacrifice hp for extra ones, or you can store them with bottles.

Once both Kamael classes have matured, some will be surprised to find the Soulhound to be the stronger of the 2 classes.

Although Disarm is a pain and they have high DPS, they can be beaten fairly easily at lvl 81+ currently.

At lvl 80 the Soulhound gets a very special buff called Lightning Barrier. It is a chance 3 second para when you take any damage. It can trigger from a melee weapon swing, arrow or even a nuke.

At 81 we currently get Lightning Shock (it is being changed to lvl 83 n the update). Lightning Shock is a chainable 10 sec para with a 10 Sec re-use.

Since the Soulhound can Steal buffs, root, silence, para or have para'd trigger from incoming damage, it makes the Dangerous Berzerker, as well as many other classes very manageable. People will argue this point, but a well played Soulhound should beat a well played Doombringer most of the time.
Berzerker is more damage in my opinion. As for PvP again Berzerker, Soul Hounds have a ton of tricks (to many actually) that if they don't work...your basically screwed, Berzerkers are fairly simple, they are all power and rushes.

As for Soul Hound being able to beat a Berzerker...watch that video Jman linked and laugh at the Soul Hound that gets absolutely *****. This goes back to having to many tricks. Sure I can see them winning but if the Berzerker gets in close and you don't resist his disarm it's pretty much game over for you. Actually it's probably game over if he hits you with Rush Impact.

The video you probably watched was another of Z1ob's and yes you can spam Rush Impact plus Storm Assault is a AoE rush which is also spammable. Shoulder Charge as a minor cooldown on it but is another rush with a stun effect.

Well played SH's and DB's are amazing in pvp, you just gotta know what your doing against what classes. Versus each other I would put my money on the Doombringer though.
Doombringer has the edge in DPS (spike damage) no doubt. But, I will have to post a fraps of myself verus a Doombringer.

I hate talking about PTS Olympiad because it is not a true gauge of what is to come, but it does offer a nice sample size.

I got wrecked my first match versus a Doombringer, I used a bad strategy from the begginging and I was fiddling around with my **** hotbar. Anyway, he got me good.

Later, I went against a well played Doombringer. I wrecked him pretty good.

I guess instead of arguing over who is better we should chalk it up to 50/50. :)

I would love to see a Zerker/Soulhound/Warcrier Combo for the 3 v 3 Olympiad. I think that combination would wreck face. No doubt. People would have their head spinning while being aoe para'd and disarmed.

We also have our 30 second UD, our Painkiller , Stuns (zerker), Soulhound(Steal Divinity n Debuffs) and of course Final Form!

That would be a nice team and I am gonna try it as soon as it goes live.

Oh , how did I beat the Zerker? With the 10 second countdown he choose to stay in his Oly cage area. I walked up and just to the side of the opening so he could not Rush. When the match started, I had him targeted, I put up Pain killer and then scooted to the right and stole his buffs, I then hit Lightning Shock. It was pretty much over from there. I nuke nuke nuked and won.

Now, it can easily go the other way if he gets me stunned and disarmed and then blasts me.

I think this is the best and least biased post so far and to OP I'd say listen to this guy, he knows his ****. :D
kronk is right now the "father of soulhounds" so listen to him. I have improved both my pvp and pve strategies thanks to his advice. ^^
berseker seems a bit op in oly he just opens ultimate p def or m def according to what class he fights and then does huge dmg while the other guy cant do anything? while in ultimate thing ppl cant win because they doo very small dmg but also cant escape because he can rush? how can this be balanced? only way i think is to debuff him
berserkers are meant to kill kiters, casters, and archers. they're glass cannons even WITHOUT -8con tats. i don't see how that's OP.

mobile-UD, sure, it's 30seconds with 15-20mins reuse. (other classes' only 5mins).
Mdef/deflect arrow buff only last 10seconds with 5mins reuse. it's designed to keep the zerker alive long enough to get a rush in and cast disarm. not much use other than that.
and if a debuff like root happens to land on him... a nuker can kiss him gf ^^ there is not a "OP" class... it's just about combination of level+gear+player skill+luck. You can control 3 of them, but still luck on landing a skill (even if your opponent helps reducing the odds with some boss jewels or whatever) is a decisive factor on pvp.

If I hapen to root/stun/paralize a doombringer then I won the fight. This is as simple as that because of the fact that DB's depend on movement when it comes to pvp. If they can't rush and they are not in melee range they do nothing but die.

However, if you miss the root/stun/para (ofc, I'm talking about you being a mage) you will be dead within seconds. That's why DB have a real hard time against orcs and tanks, they can handle the damage, can stun/root the DB and have the advantage of hitting a Light armor toon while they use heavy.

Try not to claim something is "OP" coz there's no such thing ^^
Well, DB's still have a Soul Cleanse so they can remove incoming roots. In final it's reuse will be very short also so that's a great improvement as well.

I think it really goes like this: Doombringers get their "ultimate-skills" at level 78, and Soul Hounds at 80/81, so yes, SH's are late bloomers. Considering the gap between 78 and 80/81 is HUGE, as little as it sounds.

I have so little experience fighting SH's so I won't say anything about "who'd win". But I can tell you at least DB drop nukers like flies if you can get into 600 range for rush-stun/disarm/violent temper. Usually harder if they surprise you from somewhere and drop their vortexes etc. on you.

Disarm in my cases have landed like 4/5 times on nukers. On melee it's been like 50/50. In Final, they made it's reuse so short you can almost chain-disarm. Well, even better if you have 79's mass disarm to give additional chances.
So how does it work?

Zerker is a mage killer, while SB is not geared against a specific kind of toons?
Also, which other classes would whoop kamael ***?
decent daggers, tyrants, gladdy, any kinda tanks.

Soul breaker is well-rounded vs. any class in the game, if played correctly. there is no end-all-be-all setup for Soul breaker being what they are. you've gotta figure that out for yourself through trials and errors (one good reason to hop onto PTS or a private server) because playstyle differs from person to person, it's a digitized fingerprint of yours in the MMO world.

you can try your ****est to do what've been done, but at the end of the road, you're only a mimic.

in short, be inventive :) and have some screaming fun while you're at it.

all kamaels have soul cleanse ^^

I know, I just told DB can remove roots with relative ease in Final, but sure will the others too. :P
