It will be relased before maintennce or after? I think it should be able to download earlier coz many ppl's have slow internet connection... How is it, i am new here ;p
Update your client to the current Gracia PTS client, then change it back tomorrow to Live. If you look around the PTS forum you can find exactly what I'm talking about.
There will be a new client available tomorrow, it's just updating pts to live take 2 mins, downloading 4 gigabytes of new client can take an hour or much much much longer if your inet is slow.
yes, this is the only way to do it, update the PTS to Live. Takes maybe a few minutes, compared to the hours of downloading, especially if you have a slow compter. You could be updating PTS right now and have it all ready for the conversion tomorrow when Final goes live.

Delete the system folder, run the (new) lineage2.exe, let it update, check files, done.

After the live launch on our live servers you simply can update your client. But if you want also download the live client, you can do that only after live launch. Th will announce when it will be aviable for download.
If you have a fast connection, may I suggest downloading the test client from fileplanet and then just swapping the Lineage2.exe using the PTS>Live conversion file. This will mean there will little to no time after maintenance. Imagine how many people didn't download the PTS and will be running a full update.....

No, you don't have to wait. Best way to do it was in a previous post above.
The easiest way to handle expansion for Lineage 2 that I have found is like this.
Copy Lineage 2 Folder to a New Folder and just call it L2PTS (or whatever). So technically you have 2 copies of Lineage 2 on your hard drive. When the PTS comes out download the Live to PTS conversion file noted above.
Unzip that file you just downloaded and delete the Lineage2.exe file from the L2PTS Folder and copy the Lineage2.exe file from the file you just unzipped and paste into the L2PTS Folder. That will update the image of L2 in the L2PTS Folder to the Official PTS.
After they finish with the update on the live servers or while you are waiting for them to come up download the PTS to Live Conversion file noted above in the previous post. Unzip it. Delete the Lineage2.exe file from the L2PTS Folder. Copy and Paste the Lineage2.exe file from the zip file you just downloaded and your done until they open the servers for play.
Will save you hours of downloaded mindless Gigabytes of data. You can then just delete your old L2 Folder to save space on your hard drive if you need to. Just make sure you save or move all your Screen Shots and vids you may have taken so you don't lose them. And when the servers go live you may want to do a "check file" to make sure everything is good. And you good to go. That's just what I do.

This may seem like a silly question, but You have the regular L2 folder from which you play. Then you have the L2 PTS folder which is the PTS. When you do the PTS > Live conversion, it is replacing the l2.exe in the PTS folder, right? So do you then delete your original L2 folder, and just keep the L2PTS folder as your regular L2 play folder? I am very confused about this >_<

Yes, but delete it ONLY when you are sure that the PTS is fully converted to live and after you make sure it works
Okay, sorry for the questions, this is my first update in the game like this... seems a bit cumbersome =/ Other games you just open the normal regular client you always play with and it updates itself.
Oh yeah I know what you mean. But thing is that the PTS is essentially the same as the Live Update that you play when they come back up. Just doing the conversion saves time waiting for your old play folder update. Instead of waiting while all that crap downloads you can login and start playing as soon as the servers are up.

Yeah, because the PTS was basically what the L2 folder was going to update to.
Well, I did the PTS-Live conversion and its already done (just rechecked a whole bunch of files). Now it takes me to the login screen; just won't actually login (I assume because the login server is currently not accepting connections) :)

Yeah .. the login server is down usually until there ready to bring up the live(game) servers ... like 4 more hours
It took me about 4 hours to download the PTS version last week. Imagine how much worse it will be now theres thousands of you downloading at the same time! Just have to be patient unless you already got the PTS.
