Hi all, been playing l2 for over 4 yrs (bartz) and think game still has alot to offer...Boss jewels (fingers crossed!).

Already for when final goes live ( just convert pts > live).:D

Been following the forums past few weeks and have noticed a minor few just complain, complain, complain...or twist a thread round to botting this..gm that..gezz give it a break!

Just for once would love to see a thread stick to thread subject, u may find more ppl would join in with discussion :D
I agree. I enjoy myself every time I log into L2, it is the best game I have ever played (and I have played lots of games for a long time).
Dont get me wrong..need a break from grind from time to time..

nice to know i'm not the only one bud :)
you are not the only one ^^ and I think this is the best game too XD at least it's the only 1 i'm currently playin
I think most of players complain a lot because they want to see this game even more better. For me it's really good game(that's the reason I play) but still I complain because I wanna see it even more better. Maybe it sounds ridicilous but I think it has to do smth with it.
I don't want the game more 'better'... I want it less 'botter' ^^
knew it..3 posts in...gezz lol

need see what new "bot" button does

seeing more ppl around or am i seeing things?
need see what new "bot" button does

Engulfs the boter in the eternal flames of shame :rolleyes:

hopefully it doesnt start a bot program running so you can leave your computer and go play basketball...
Trying to take this thread back to topic. I have to agree that this is one of the best and most complete game I have every played.

This is a fun and ever changing game where you dont have to go out and buy the newest update/upgrade/expansion (take your pick on what you want to call it). NC just gives it to you for free.

I still enjoy this game every day I log on and have met a lot of good people too.
L2 is hardly the best mmorpg ever. It has a lot of appeal though, and it COULD be the best MMORPG ever if only devs would listen to players.

That said... it was hard to find something to replace it for me (I have replaced it for now, though), which maybe means that whether it might not be the best game out there, it's entertaining enough to be better than most of the other things out there.

Too bad that it ends up burning you out so often.

Did you get into DarkFall?
Did you get into DarkFall?

Nope. I've been playing Age of Conan though and having SO MUCH FUN like I haven't had in L2 in a while.

AoC...wow...thought it would take more than that...well i'm glad you are having fun :)
i played once biosfear u will knew it under the name laghaim on a german server wasnt many ppl maybe 3k but noone cheat or bot there cause they were controlled by each other

u think the gm and nc soft is the reason for all those cheats and bots ?
this community is it and its attitude to not play within the rules ebaying and buying botted tons is done on a daily basis

iam 31 and even with 25 i couldnt get into this virtual pride thing i never understood why it means so much to some ppl

btw final kills several ways to make money imagine u were a noob starting on a server how would u earn money manor fail ,enchants lol i trash all except a and s , crafting c-b grade gear who will buy this ? so many aspects of the game r useless now and that makes it sad

the worst thing ever introduced was the wonderous cubic it killed so many niches
Having played most if not all the MMO's on the market in the last 10 years, I can say that L2 I enjoy the most. The graphics are incredible and the play is challenging and vast. The people I have met for the most part are nice and willing to help/explain something. It's not a game you can get into and be top level in two weeks - a month, and that is really nice. It takes time and effort. The only problem I really see is the farmers and bots dominating some markets, areas, and spamming tells. I recommend this game to ppl I know who play MMO's now, it is really top.
well the graphics are kinda outdated... but still the models are awesome even with this old UT engine... the game was a success cause achieving something was a big deal due to dificulity and time demanding nature of the game... and finaly the gameplay ... i want call it intense but kinda... boring (95% grinding 5% pvp)
keep crossing your fingers for the boss jewls that keep you playing, won't see them unless you buy large amounts of adena :) game over man game over
my first MMORPG was Star Wars Galaxies and since then i have played most popular MMOs released after Lineage 2 was my 2nd MMO and i left and returned multiple times the past 5 years and also trying many free2play MMOs as well.

If Galaxies was still the way it was back in the day id say that is the best MMORPG all around, it had the GCW(Galactic Civil War) player made cities(do u understand how dope that would be in L2!?!?!?!?) and player housing fully customizable. The things people would create in their homes out of items was amazing. it became lame when they told ppl how to become a jedi and stopped jedi perma-death. Jedi SHOULD be hard as **** to kill and hard to become!!!! or not exist at all. bottom line jedi ruined SWG.

Lineage 2 though right now IMO is making a huuuge comeback in content and players. ppl might object to the players comment but on bartz ive seen a good number of new players me being in my 30s i see the ones that have stayed past 20 and every single one ive asked loves the game and plans to stay.

I would pray to NC if they would listen to me to market Gracia Final with commercials and ads and such because just the trailer i saw on youtube and this site below made me want to buy that game and i already play!!! IMO GRACIA IS Fn HUGE! and people would for sure be **** interested in Lineage 2 if they saw what we have from all the Gracia expansions.

Lineage 2 is 5 years old and i will be 21 years old on Sunday, i dont know what im more happy for! but im happy to grow older with Lineage 2 and i will see it next year as well :)

your fingers will break way before u can get a boss jewelry if you are a legit player.
This game just keeps getting better and better :D
I still miss the old Prelude fell of not knowing anything and everyone was a lowbie, but I got to say that the game gets very fun at the end game to.
Posting a thread with the main purpose of staying ontopic is ******ed. Sorry. You just invited any lurking troll on the board.

As far as L2 being the "best mmo"

BWAHAHAHHAHA

You're funny. This game is good for the standard from when it was released. But the game is still basically the same, they haven't done anything innovative at all.

But please. Try to point out how it's true. Laughing is healthy

(to the enevitable question of why I play if I don't think the game is the best, My friends play. But if they left I'd be gone in a heartbeat)

I pretty agree with this post. This games has the makings of being even a much better game, but the devs don't seem to do much with most feedback, at least not from the NA market. Or, they do something, but way too long after the issue(s) came up.
L2, even with its problems, ranks amongst the top 5 MMOs ever released. (mind you i don't count those F2P, or micro-transaction MMOs as full fledge MMOs).

that said, this game is a foundation to create a behemoth of the gaming world. Too bad NCSoft bit off WAY more than they can chew. One company should only maintain one single MMO at any given time. Unless the company doubles in size, it shouldn't try to maintain more than what it can do to meet the customers' expectations. (in short, im saying that NCSoft is doing it wrong.)

The Devs should listen to players' suggestions subjectively. I've seen more than one instance where mass whine forces the dev to implement game-changing mechanics that eventually, and ultimately, kills the game.

With all MMO, the social makes up more than half of the game. It may have its appeals, but that only goes out to a certain extends, after that, it's the player-base that keep the game alive. Hell, I know for a fact this game would crumble and wither away in a heart beat if it wasn't for the die-hard fans and their friends.

That said, MMOs are also living games. technologies might leave a game behind, but sometimes, the players won't. New graphic engines might be available, but sometimes, the players are happy with what they have (this might not be true with L2, it doesn't get prettier than this, at least not till photorealism become the norm of MMO-gaming). As long as new contents being made, expansions being released, a MMO could live on for as long as the fans allow it.

as a conclusion, i would like the Devs to really celebrate the 5th Birthday of L2 by waking up to the potential this game has to offer, and in doing so, bring this game to the top ranks, where it rightfully belong.

Here to 5 more. (if the bots haven't killed it by then)
