Life starts at release not at compilation, ****it!
Heh, thats true :)
But as beta testers in software that always seems like it wasnt the date the game really "begins"... Essence of a game maybe is more when Alpha changes to closed Beta... Major gamestopping bugs have been ironed a little at least, and the game can be seen in some form of entirety for the first time.
*wonders why shes gone down this path of discussion about inception of a computer game* lol...
if you remember and are thinking of when L2 has "birthday" then you are sick and you should take a break :P
You are somewhat correct... I did know the anniversary date before it was announced, but hey... no need to call me sick. And a break? I've not played in 3 months... :p

Not all games have a public beta test, so I guess all anniversaries should be the day they're visible to the public. Pretty much the same as when you or I popped our heads (of feet...) out into this wonderful world.

LOL... great analogy! I'm sold on this concept now :)
