why did NC Soft pick Icarus it's not even a good greek story
The story of Icarus life and dramatic death is wrapped up in his father’s craftsmanship. In order to escape the Labyrinth, Deadalus made a set of wings for his son and himself. The wings were forged out of wax and feathers. With the wings, the father and son were able to fly out of the Labyrinth to freedom. Before alighting, Deadalus gave his son a serious warning. He told him not to fly too close to the sun. If he were to do so, Deadalus explained, the wax that held his wings together would melt, rendering them useless, and Icarus would fall from the sky to his death

don't know if they're sticking to this story but what was originally laid out was that, in the 13 chronicles of l2, they'd explain how open war broke out between the elves and dark elves. dark elves, in their lust for power and religious zeal, decided to rez shilen to destroy the light elves and control the rest of civilization. humans sided with the elves, orc sided with the dark elves, dwarves = profit??
the culmination is supposed to be all of the dark elven civilization gathering at the seal of shilen in c13 and a huge battle between every citizen of aden ensues killing half of the population or something like that.
not sure how they're going to pull this story out, at this point, though...we're still missing 4 of the 7 total seals from 3 years ago.
they were also supposed to give us a pet fox. *sigh*

also, the 36-45 man seed instance gives 100% chance for a s84 weapon to drop and can be done daily.
granted you'd probably need 45 level 85's to do it. anyone actually try them in the pts?
I really doubt anyone did it in the PTS; there isnt enough organisation to do it due to the nature of clans picking up members form all timezones and different interests (PvP/Oly/testing quests/etc), plus most people not spending all their time on PTS rather than live.

also, EBgames is still EBgames...they're a subsidiary of the GameStop corporation. just like Babbages, Babbages Etc., Software Etc., and several others were a subsidiary of Barnes & Noble.
wonder why ebgames.com still works? the two companies became so similar that they just put their differences aside and united under the one moniker. there was virtually no change at all when the "merger" happened...just a new sign and a new store number (for all stores including established gamestops.)

We actually made 3 attempts at this one, we had 36-38 people each time. Failed each time, but got better as we went along. It's a hard one to do, but then it should be. Nothing at that level should be easy. Once it goes live, then yeah I suggest you get 45 people for it. I have a feelling that you're actually supposed to have the 45 people for this one. 5 Full parties. Since there are 5 simultainious jobs to do.
Just remember in live that you will have people that will have the OE'd skills and boss jewels, even if they dont have the ++ attributes or a lot of S80 stuff...so it will be different on live (how different I have no idea)...
It doesn't compare really at all. HB is a hunting ground. Most of the content in the Gracia area is instanced based. Similar (sort of) but more difficult than the x9 kama's. Difficulty wise? They are too different really to make a valid comparison.
