So I just hit 58 and I'm havin trouble where to level. I was in Apo but thats gotten too easy and i can really go deeper cuz i don't have maj armor and those Erant things stun. So any Zerkers out there able to give me some tips where to hit up. I have a pp for buffs btw.
I went to Forsaken plains... hit that place, you will kill fast and get nice exp with fallen orc shamans that transform into tigers (don't even hit the other shamans coz they reflect damage)
I don't think they changed it. If you go to the entry of the canyons along side the main big hole the monsters spawn super fast and all within a couple seconds of run time so i can pretty much kill nonstop and spam VT+ shoulder charge+ 2 hits dead.
go to disciple's necro and kill ouside of it, that place is good till 62-63 when you dont get noob buff anymore. if you over pull a couple hundreds mobs, run into the cata and port in. (i did that a couple times)
I was trying out VoS but I think I need a few more levels or somethng cuz I was having a hard time not getting 2 shotted by the flashes. Is it just me or do they crit a ton!?
I haven't tried Swamp of Screams I'll check that out tomorow. Hope to ding 62.
You are right VoS is magic dangerous if you are not well buffed and jeweled (majestic +++ if possible, Magic barrier and Resist fire /holy at least)... If you stay near the entrance I will give you details on the mob:
- Flash of Splendor: Aggresive, this mob cast fire spells slow enough to be interrupted, but BEWARE... they hit REALLY HARD with a normal nuke and when they crit they ONE SHOT YOU. This is definetely the first target to be careful.
- Blade of splendor: Passive. It clones itself when you attack him. Also it teleports to you when you hit it or when you hit another mob around (since they are social agro). Try to avoid melee because they have a REALLY high evasion.
- Wisdom of Splendor: Passive. Nothing much to worry about this mob, except that it casts a really painful Flame debuff (that will really lower your hp)... If you have Soul Cleanse use it asap.
- Claw of Splendor: Passive. It will transform into an onix beast type of mob and recover its HP. Beware, sometimes it takes a while and since it removes the target and it's pretty small you don't notice that it keeps hitting you. But pretty much nothing to worry about this mob.
When you start to see mob here green you can go ahead and cross the bridge, where you find mob like Soul of Splendor, Judge of Splendor and some other that are higher level, but have basically the same behavior as the ones I described above.
Yesterday tried in beginning of VoS with 60lvl SB.
Equipment: doom light, common b jevs and +4 converted cashenberk with focus (I think).
Buffs: adventurer + cast.speed potion + self buffs + herbs
First impresion: death mark + check mate - rules!
Ok, put dark attack togle and buff.
On most mobs combo above = almost dead mob. Some strategies are required when mobs are close to each other. Here silence against mage mobs also rock.
Against Blade of splendors I have find out that also best strategy to use death mark + checkmate combos - skill don't miss...
Ok these combos uses a lot of mp. Sometimes you will need to do slow way: silence mage mob and kill it by standard hits, but exp is great
That's whats cool about SB ^^ we have a lot of options to face the same situation... I used to cast 1 Soul of Pain and then melee them (1 SoP takes more than half their HP)
So i decided to give VoS another try and took my pp along with me. I installed it in laptop and double boxed em.
I've got to say it was better exp than when i was in the 50's. The aoe attacks are awesome and pretty much spamable and mana herbs drop like candy in there so I have 0 down time. The pp's heals are good enough to help in a pinch. I gained 25% in an hour so yeah that's definitely my favorite new place. thanks for all the help guys :D

hehe once you get used to a class that fits your gaming needs it is hard to try another one... I'm having a hard time with my zerker sub :( I know it's a cool class, but I just get bored when I play it.:(

Yeah I know what you mean. I guess it all just depends on what you like. From your posts i can tell you really like sb but since i haven't played both classes i'll just have to wait and see if i like it too.
Soulhound 77 / Zerker 58... I'm sure that zerker at 7x must be fun to play, but It just took me so long to reach S grade that I am enjoying this lvl, and don't have the patience to level the sub right now ^^ eventually I'll have to get it to 75 :D but so far, I'm happy with my main XD
